Wendy (00:00.942)
Hi, welcome to We Wine Whenever, I'm Wendy.
Kelli (00:04.468)
I'm Kelly.
Lori (00:05.363)
and I'm Lori.
Wendy (00:07.584)
Well, we are going to recap our night last night. went to City Winery in New York City for the first ever Page Six Virtual Reality Award Show.
Lori (00:21.286)
I didn't realize it was a page six deal. thought they were just there doing their thing.
Wendy (00:26.924)
Hmm.
Kelli (00:26.983)
No, virtual reality is part of which they have a pod. So they have a podcast, those two gentlemen that. Yeah, and they're part of page six.
Lori (00:32.786)
Yeah, I knew that, but I didn't realize that... I didn't realize they were part of page six. Okay, okay. I get it.
Kelli (00:39.049)
Yeah, which Lori didn't. So we were one table out from the stage and the table that was right up against the stage was people from page six and Cadillac who was another big sponsor. Ever revolving table of people sitting and leaving and somebody else coming and sitting down and leaving and somebody else coming and sitting down. It was very interesting to watch. Very odd.
Wendy (00:39.928)
So,
Lori (00:53.268)
Yeah.
Lori (00:58.248)
Very odd. Very odd. Yes. Yeah.
Yeah, very odd. But the people were nice. mean, the paid six people were awesome. The Cadillac girls were awesome. We got the girl who did Jessel's makeup. She was sweet as pie. Yeah, it was fun.
Kelli (01:09.981)
Super nice!
Kelli (01:14.209)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (01:20.34)
Yeah.
Wendy (01:20.526)
Yeah, it was a good time. So some of the reality stars that were there were Melissa and Joe Gorga. And I was able to talk to them a little bit. So I asked Melissa, because they just announced recently that Wife Swap is coming out and Melissa is going to be on that. Joe was there as well. And I asked her how her experience was with Wife Swap. And she said,
It's different. She said there's a lot of crying. She's very emotional. It's a very emotional experience. So I'm kind of excited to see something different, you know, because we're not, you know, we're only used to seeing her as a housewife, right? We've not really seen her do anything but. So she's going to be in a different environment with a civilian, like a non-housewife person. That's who she's swapping with. So some of the people that were announced that are doing the wife swap are Melissa,
Wendy Osefo from Potomac, Emily Simpson from Orange County, and Angie Castanavis from Salt Lake City.
Kelli (02:31.605)
Yeah, so I, yeah, no, I'm really looking forward to that. So I told Joe and Melissa while we were talking to them that I'm rewatching Real Housewives of New Jersey. I said for the 30th time, obviously it's not the 30th time, but I have rewatched it a couple of times. And listen, I do it because, I mean, isn't there like a show that you've watched like a million times, like Friends? Like I'll watch Friends over and over and over again. Modern Family, I'll watch over and over and again.
Lori (02:31.742)
Yeah, I can't wait to watch it.
Lori (02:57.33)
I know, Yeah.
Kelli (03:00.277)
Jersey's obviously my favorite Housewife franchise, so that's why I watch it over and over again. And I honestly, every time I watch, I watch very closely and I'm like, was I missing something? Like, cause I obviously don't like Teresa. Everybody who listens to this knows that. You two definitely know it. But I do always go into watching it when I do rewatch it. And again, I just rewatch it cause if there's nothing else I'm like into right now, other than the current shows we're recapping, it's just something to watch.
Lori (03:16.244)
Definitely.
Wendy (03:16.528)
yes, we do.
Lori (03:30.666)
Yeah. You never change your mind with a re-watch.
Kelli (03:31.571)
No, I'm not missing anything. I never change my mind every time. I'm like, no, it's her fault. It's her fault. The christening Joe Gorga definitely was responsible for, but everything that happened after that is her fault. Sorry, I stand by it. Anyway, I'm not like some weird stalker. I just rewatch it sometimes. Like I rewatch Friends of Modern Family.
Lori (03:52.692)
There you go.
Wendy (03:58.84)
So that's, I think that's the question we're gonna have for this episode, because we decided every episode we're gonna ask our audience a question so that they would engage with us and let us know their thoughts. So the question this episode is, what show is it that you rewatch? Like you can watch any time, like you put on as your background show, whether it be a Housewives or a Friends or something.
Kelli (04:18.105)
That's exactly what it is. It's a background show. I can do a million things. I can cook, I can clean, I can work, read my emails, and that's just on in the background. So yeah, so Real Housewives of New Jersey, Friends, Modern Family, and The Office, those are like my four. I'll probably always have one of those shows on in the background.
Lori (04:38.674)
Nice. Cool.
Wendy (04:39.904)
Okay, so some of the other people that were there were Alexia and Marisol because they did receive an award. Galena from McBee dynasty was there and she did come out on stage as well. Who did she give the award to?
Kelli (04:57.441)
She gave to, Sheena?
Lori (04:58.132)
other.
Wendy (05:02.336)
Yes, she gave it to Sheena. So Sheena Shay, Sheena Shay was there and she got an award and Galina gave her the award. Kelly Bensimon was there, but not on stage. No, but so was also Michaels from Southern Hospitality was also there.
Lori (05:03.282)
Yes, yes, yes.
Kelli (05:12.225)
She never came out.
Kelli (05:19.871)
Yeah, but he gave Marisol her, he gave Marisol, he came out and gave Marisol, at least he came out on stage.
Wendy (05:25.9)
Yeah, Jen Fessler was there. She never came out on stage. Gretchen.
Kelli (05:28.687)
yeah, she never came out on stage. let me just tell this quick story, because this is a great, great story. I'm not a fan of Sheena's, so I listened to her for as long as I possibly could, because I just think Sheena is full of shit. I don't believe a word that comes out of her mouth. I listened to her for as long as I could, and I said to Lori, I'm going to the bathroom, I'm getting up, I'm taking a walk. So Lori got up with me, and my good friend was helping me.
Wendy (05:33.944)
Okay.
Kelli (05:56.93)
somebody with a cigarette because I was foolish and didn't bring cigarettes with me. Anyway, we're walking out of the venue to go outside to hunt down a smoke and Lori walks up to someone and says, my God, you follow us, don't you? And the woman was like, what? And you're like, we're from WeWineWhenever, you follow us, don't you? And she was like, would she say like, no, but maybe I should? I turn around to look, it's Jackie Goldschneider.
Lori (06:19.902)
Maybe I should, yeah.
Kelli (06:27.627)
who clearly does not follow us. Because even if she did follow us before, she's not following us now.
Lori (06:27.806)
thought she was someone else. No, thought she was someone else. No, I thought she was someone else. thought she was this... What's her name? Jill... Jill Varian or somebody? Jill Zarin. She follows us. I thought it was her.
Wendy (06:42.198)
Josaron?
Wendy (06:47.084)
Jill Zarin follows us.
Lori (06:48.156)
Yes, she does. I believe that she does.
Kelli (06:48.193)
I don't know if Joe Zinher follows us. We'll figure it out. But once I realized it was Jackie Ghostniner, I gave Lori one of these. Cut it off. We don't wanna know her. We don't wanna know her. I don't even know why she's here. I don't even know if they let her into the stage part. They were probably like, nobody in there wants to see you, honey.
Wendy (06:52.014)
We're going to have to check on that.
Lori (06:57.746)
I'm pie!
Lori (07:08.138)
Yeah.
Wendy (07:09.964)
It's so funny. You guys get up. I didn't even know you weren't there. I did not even know you guys were not there. I was so, I was so enthralled with what was going on. I had a job to do. had a job to do. So yeah, Jen Fessler was there. She never came on stage. Gretchen Rossi was there. She did come on stage.
Kelli (07:14.419)
I knew you had no idea we even left.
Lori (07:14.506)
Kelli (07:20.308)
I knew it.
You, yeah, no, you were laser focused.
Lori (07:24.458)
So funny.
Kelli (07:38.229)
she gave Phage her her board,
Wendy (07:39.894)
She gave Phaedra. Julia was there from Miami. She also came on stage with Marisol and Alexia.
Kelli (07:47.617)
She gave Alexia, she and Michaels came out to give Alexia and Marisol their awards.
Wendy (07:52.344)
their awards. Jess from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was there and her husband who is very handsome with that beard. I didn't recognize him to be honest with you. I was like, who is that guy?
Kelli (08:03.029)
I didn't recognize him either. He's very handsome and he's so incredibly sweet, what he said. So he gave her her award and he just said the sweetest things about her to her. I love him.
Lori (08:03.114)
Lori (08:13.368)
nice.
Wendy (08:14.848)
Yes, and Phaedra Parks was there. I think that is all. So there was a couple other people there that I don't really know who they were. Yes, yes, yes she did.
Kelli (08:22.997)
Well, Candace Dillard opened the show with three songs, which was great. She did a good job.
Lori (08:27.41)
Yes. Earl the Pearl was there. Earl the Pearl was there in the audience. Yes, Earl the Pearl.
Kelli (08:31.975)
Earl the Pearl was there in the audience.
Wendy (08:35.562)
Yes.
Wendy (08:39.62)
Laurie said it looked like you got some hair plugs.
Kelli (08:42.305)
For sure he definitely got hair plugs. And the reason he was called out in the audience is because the gentleman hosting the show asked Phaedra if she would ever do Love Hotel and she said, of course. And then that's when they pointed out that Earl the Pearl was in the audience.
Lori (08:43.41)
I think so, yeah. That's good. You go ahead.
Lori (08:59.07)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (09:00.846)
It was a fun night. We had a great time. So we took the train into the city and then we got to Penn Station, you New York Penn Station and we were going to take the subway downtown. Kelly had never taken the subway before, ever.
Lori (09:03.39)
Yeah, it was a fun night.
Kelli (09:03.819)
Be sure to dab.
Kelli (09:17.537)
51 years, never went on the subway.
Lori (09:19.37)
And I thought that it was, and we got the true subway experience because the car was packed. And of course we had a gentleman, a very large gentleman, big guy, make an announcement that he was mentally ill and needed $7.46. And could anyone help? And was not meek or mild, made a huge big announcement with a booming voice.
Wendy (09:25.239)
We did.
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (09:40.469)
very specific amount of money.
Lori (09:48.138)
and then proceeded to walk through the train with his crumpled up Dunkin' Donuts bag open for you to drop the money in. I was like, you know? But it was perfect for Kelly's first time. He is polite. He is polite.
Wendy (09:57.996)
He was polite. He thanked us and you know, he did thank us. And a portion through the train, someone must have given him a dollar because he changed his count. I don't know if you guys realize that. So he changed his count when he got the dollar. So I was like, all right, well, he's honest about his needs.
Kelli (10:09.397)
Yes. Yes, he did. Yep. Yep. Yep.
Lori (10:10.205)
Yes, yes, so.
Yes. yeah. Yeah, yeah. And he can add and subtract.
Wendy (10:18.998)
Yeah. he did? No, I didn't notice that.
Kelli (10:19.509)
He did get right off that subway car with us though. I don't know if you guys noticed that. absolutely. Absolutely. He walked right off that cart and went on his merry way. So I don't know if he made his money, didn't make his money, but.
Wendy (10:29.494)
Okay, that's good now
Wendy (10:33.954)
Well, I mean, he can get on another train. That's how it works down there.
Kelli (10:36.651)
Or share.
Lori (10:36.906)
And I'm quite certain that that was the goal for the whole entire night.
Wendy (10:39.95)
So after we get we get off the subway, we you know, go up, we go up the stairs and we're looking we're trying to decide like which way to walk. And we see this psychic reading. And we're like, like, terror cards and we look up at the window because we're at street level and there's a woman standing in the window and she's like waving us and she's on the phone.
Lori (10:44.478)
Hmm.
Kelli (10:44.522)
Right.
Lori (10:56.81)
Get a tarot card.
Wendy (11:06.254)
And Lori mouths up to her, how much? Because we're not walking up the stairs. Yeah, oh, I thought you mouthed to her. Okay, okay. Yeah, she says she's putting her fingers together for the people who are listening to us. And then the woman held up two hands, letting us know $10. I'm like, okay, $10. I mean, we can walk up the stairs for 10 bucks. So for $10, what you got was a face reading. I was like, what's a face reading?
Lori (11:09.354)
I did like this. The universal sign. I was like...
Kelli (11:11.785)
Yeah, the universal sign the universal sign
Lori (11:20.98)
Yes.
Wendy (11:35.01)
She's like, well, I just look at your face and tell you what I'm saying. I'm just like, okay. So Lori went first. Do you want to share what she said about you or you don't have to.
Lori (11:47.434)
I'm going to see what I remember. A couple bottles of wine later. I think she said I was open and honest. She did really pinpoint a very difficult year with the date and she was very accurate with that. Other than that,
Wendy (11:50.506)
What you remember? I know.
Kelli (11:53.257)
I know, I know.
Lori (12:14.794)
I can't remember what she told me. told me some lucky numbers, some lucky days, I don't pay attention. No.
Wendy (12:19.526)
you don't remember them? Okay. Let me preface this by letting everyone know that we drank a bottle of wine on the way into the city on the train. Once we got on the train, we had a bottle of wine between the three of us.
Lori (12:32.05)
No, no, no, no, no, no. We started the wine before we even boarded the train on the train platform. Yeah, absolutely. We were not waiting. We weren't even waiting for the train.
Wendy (12:37.582)
Yes, that is true. build up.
Kelli (12:39.073)
That is true.
Wendy (12:41.614)
All right, yes. Listen, we were gonna bring solo cups to pour the wine into, but I decided that coffee cups would look classier and not as obvious. So I brought paper coffee cups. So we finished the wine on the train. Yeah. And then we got to Penn Station. And before we got on the subway, we didn't have any more wine. So in Penn Station, we bought another bottle of wine, which we filled up
Kelli (12:41.685)
Very classy. We kept it very classy.
Lori (12:52.97)
Yes, Paper, paper. Yeah.
Kelli (12:54.561)
Paper coffee club, paper coffee cups.
Don't get it twisted.
Wendy (13:11.586)
when we got off the subway for our walk to City Winery. So this is,
Kelli (13:16.021)
Right. So we had our cups filled with our second bottle of wine by the time we went to the tower card reader, the face reader.
Lori (13:22.034)
Hence why I don't know what my lucky days are.
Wendy (13:24.238)
So then Kelly went next and Kelly do you remember what she told you?
Kelli (13:30.527)
Yeah, so a couple of things stand out. She did tell me that my lucky numbers are two and six, which they really aren't, but two six 26 is Joe's birthday, so I'll take it. But at least they mean something to me, you know? She did tell me that my third eye is open. I'm very intuitive, which is, you know, it's true. And I've told Wendy and Lori this over and over. Every time I've gone to a psychic, they always tell me I have the ability. If I harnessed it, I could do it.
Lori (13:45.684)
which I'm very jealous about.
Kelli (14:00.032)
I don't harness it, I don't want to do it. But I like that my third eye's open, and I always feel like my third eye's open. I always feel like I I really, you know, I can read the room and the person.
Lori (14:11.37)
Unlike Britney Payman.
Kelli (14:14.913)
Right. And she, yeah, and she also told me that I'm with my soulmate. So that's always nice to hear. 1999, 26 years later. So it's nice to hear.
Wendy (14:15.045)
gosh, yes. Yes. We'll talk about that when we talk about Salt Lake.
Lori (14:19.202)
I had to throw it in there.
American.
Wendy (14:24.533)
Absolutely. How many years later?
Wendy (14:29.656)
There you go. Definitely.
Lori (14:29.706)
There you go. Very good.
Kelli (14:32.865)
And she also told me that I need to stop focusing on my problems and start focusing on the solution, which I thought about a lot today.
Lori (14:42.29)
Yeah, stop giving so much attention to, she said stop giving so much attention to the, to the.
Wendy (14:42.38)
I think she said something.
Kelli (14:47.467)
Like the negative things.
Lori (14:53.148)
I can't remember exactly what you said, but there's something to that effect.
Kelli (14:58.091)
they start focusing on the solutions, which I need to do. I know I need to do.
Lori (14:59.849)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (15:01.966)
Didn't she say something about your aura also? No.
Lori (15:09.684)
The wine creates a fog. I don't know.
Wendy (15:09.838)
Okay, yeah. So I'll be honest with you, when she got to me, now, you already know I already drank a substantial amount of wine at this point. And for whatever reason, I guess it's my Irish in me, when I drink wine, my face gets red. So the fact that she's reading my red face, I felt like just really wasn't fair.
Kelli (15:11.297)
Exactly.
Kelli (15:33.502)
right.
Wendy (15:39.138)
That's how, you know, I just want to preface it right now because
Lori (15:39.402)
Do not give the incorrect reading because the face is right.
Kelli (15:43.841)
pretty much what she said when we walked out of there. I think that was unfair.
Wendy (15:43.918)
I mean my face. Yeah, because all right, so yeah, I don't think it was fair because my face was all red. But what she did say that I do remember is she didn't give me lucky numbers or lucky days. So she didn't give me that. But she said that I was a male in a former life. And I agree with that. That's I remember. Oh, and something I needed to balance my chakra. Don't know what that means.
Kelli (16:11.551)
Yes, yes.
Wendy (16:12.898)
Don't know how to do that, but that's what I need to do. Yeah. So that was an interesting take, right, on our psychic thing.
Kelli (16:15.723)
We're gonna look into it.
Kelli (16:21.515)
She also did tell me that Wednesdays and Fridays are my lucky days and those are the days I work remote. So that was interesting.
Wendy (16:27.278)
Lori (16:27.516)
there you go.
Wendy (16:30.668)
wait, she also told me that summer is my time. Summer's my time and that's when I'm happiest. And she said that I shouldn't make any decisions unless it's in the summertime. So don't make any decisions now, because summer's over. So.
Kelli (16:33.971)
Yes, she did say that to you.
Kelli (16:44.415)
Right, right. But you got a long way to go because summer just ended. So you can't make any decisions for quite some time.
Lori (16:44.894)
There you go. got a long way to go, baby.
Wendy (16:49.222)
Yeah, so I'm sorry, may not... I'm not gonna be listening to that.
Lori (16:52.539)
Yeah, you gotta, yeah.
Kelli (16:56.234)
You
Yeah, no, that was fun. Then we walked, then we walked to the pier, which it was a decent walk. Lori and I were not wearing the appropriate shoes, even though last week we said on the pod that we were basing our outfits off of the shoes.
Wendy (17:03.288)
wasn't that far.
Lori (17:10.334)
that we were smart, were, but now only Wendy was intelligent.
Kelli (17:14.143)
Yeah, exactly.
Wendy (17:14.472)
Yeah, I'll be honest, I was very disappointed when we got to Penn Station and I'm not going to mention who, but somebody took their shoes off because their shoes were that uncomfortable. I was like, we just got off the train. How could the shoes be? Yes, it was in Penn Station. She took off her shoes. I'm like already, I said I'm not mentioning who. It took off their shoes in Penn Station. There were socks on though. I will say that.
Kelli (17:26.26)
It was that quick?
Lori (17:39.57)
It was so exciting. Whatever.
Wendy (17:43.692)
We had fun though. really had a good time. We laughed.
Lori (17:45.136)
that have our fun. Yeah.
Kelli (17:45.206)
We really had a good time. like, again, so the first people we saw on the step and repeat were Melissa and Joe, and they're so sweet. They remembered us, which is always nice, because we have met a couple of times, but they're just very, very nice. I'm so glad we got to speak with them.
Lori (18:02.226)
And she in person is absolutely stunning. Stunning and not like super heavily made up and you she's just, you can just tell looking at her that she's just naturally a very beautiful woman.
Wendy (18:07.512)
She is.
Kelli (18:14.88)
No.
Kelli (18:22.025)
Yeah, and Jess from Mormon Wives, I thought the same thing about.
Lori (18:26.154)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (18:27.662)
stunning as well. totally agree with you. I didn't realize that, Lorde. That's actually the first time you've seen her in person, right? Yeah, because Kelly and I have seen her a couple times. Yeah, we've met her in person a couple times, but yes, she does. And she's tiny. You don't realize how tiny she is, but she is very tiny.
Lori (18:28.927)
Yes.
Kelli (18:29.077)
Yep. Yep.
Lori (18:34.578)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, a couple of times. Yeah.
Kelli (18:38.901)
We have, yeah.
Kelli (18:47.775)
Yeah. and if Phaedra Parks happens to be listening, Wendy and I both said it, you just, you look beautiful as a redhead. The red hair, it's just, you know, I know she likes to, you know, switch it up and do different looks and she's a beautiful woman, clearly, but the red man, she just stands out.
Wendy (18:55.852)
Yes, yes.
Wendy (19:10.478)
All right, so gonna give you another little bit of tea. So after Melissa, she got her award, she sat down and she was talking to the hosts. And one of the questions was about the news that had come out this past week that Teresa is open to moving forward in working with her basically was the question. And the audience was kind of like silent at that point. And Melissa pointed to the audience, it's like, well, you know.
there's the answers. But I'm not gonna leave you hanging. I'm not gonna leave you hanging. just basically, you know, for the last year and a half there's been nothing. I think the timing is a little, you know, yes. So.
Lori (19:49.054)
Sub-spect. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Kelli (19:49.793)
She just thinks it's strange, as do all of us.
Wendy (19:54.922)
Yes, we totally agree with that. So I think that's it. Can you think of anything else that we should tell them about that we...
Lori (20:03.754)
I really liked the, you know, we went to Pier 57. So they have that, I don't even know what you call it. It's this park that's kind of over the water on these funky white, I don't know, look up, anybody listening, just look up Pier 57 and you'll see it. And had an amphitheater there and all these gardens. was just, it's really fun. It's really cute.
Kelli (20:27.263)
Yeah, no, that was a beautiful space. really was.
Wendy (20:30.349)
Yeah.
Lori (20:30.418)
And I thought the food was really good and
Kelli (20:33.363)
that dip platter was so good.
Wendy (20:35.086)
Yeah.
Lori (20:35.818)
Yeah. Yeah. wonder if it was good. So was a lot of fun.
Wendy (20:38.892)
Yeah, it was definitely a lot of fun. I would go again. I hope they do this every year.
Kelli (20:44.442)
yeah.
Wendy (20:50.154)
And I think that's it for it, right? Let's move on to, we're gonna talk about Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, season six, episode number one, Hot Dogs and Hearsay. All right. I know, right? So we start out with black and white with a camcorder like the Blair Witch Project.
Lori (20:52.97)
Yeah.
Lori (20:57.791)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (21:04.865)
can't believe it's six seasons already.
Kelli (21:14.945)
That's exactly what
Lori (21:15.122)
I was going to say that I had that written down. had very a la Blair Witch project. But the intro was very like almost like a tad cheesy, overly dramatic. Yeah, but even, just the, I don't know. It was just very dramatic.
Kelli (21:19.935)
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking.
Wendy (21:20.174)
Yep.
Kelli (21:27.263)
Like a scary movie or something.
Wendy (21:35.062)
Yeah, no, it definitely was dramatic. think that's what they were going for. mean, and you know, they're on train tracks, it looks like at one point, you know, the cameras are the typical. Yeah, typical. Right. And Mary's Mary's asking, why are we here if we're not friends or something wrong? And then that kind of ends. Then the next thing we see is Angie pulling up in front of Mary's house, driving the class A RV.
Lori (21:38.036)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (21:44.5)
Jittery and all that,
Kelli (21:51.681)
Yeah.
Kelli (22:00.192)
I can't believe she was driving that.
Lori (22:01.96)
Yeah.
Wendy (22:01.972)
I can't believe she was either. Good for her. we find out that she went her and Sean wound up getting an RV a few years ago because they like to. Yeah. but lucky they have a professional driver. So Teague is going to be driving them. She just wanted to show off her driving chops just to say that she did it. So Angie says, you know, after the reunion, actually she doesn't say reunion for whatever reason. She says after New York, cause they don't like to say reunion.
Kelli (22:09.185)
Probably during COVID like everybody else.
Kelli (22:18.753)
Yeah, good for her. Mm-hmm.
Kelli (22:29.377)
They always do that. I know. So stupid. Right.
Wendy (22:31.266)
I mean, we all know it's the reunion, so I'm gonna say it after the reunion. There was fractures in the friend group and the ladies don't know that they're gonna be sleeping in this RV. And I thought to myself, ooh, that is a big surprise to spring on these ladies.
Lori (22:47.326)
quite a surprise for them. yes. And now, what do you guys think of Whitney's hair?
Wendy (22:50.126)
Right.
Kelli (22:57.161)
she was a redhead. Right?
Lori (22:58.922)
It was a very odd color. I was not a fan of it on her at all. And it's not even, it was like a pinky, it was odd and I didn't, I think she's actually very pretty, but I was not digging her hair.
Kelli (23:11.573)
Yeah
Wendy (23:18.51)
I'll be honest with you, she had last year, she had dyed her hair red because her daughter is a redhead. And she did it in solidarity for her daughter because I myself can tell you, redheaded children get made fun of.
Kelli (23:32.225)
But did she come out and say that's what was happening?
Wendy (23:35.594)
Yeah, yeah, no, yes, that's why she, that's, you know, she wanted to like show her some love for the red hair. And I, you know, it's so funny because I so remember it when I was a kid, like, you know, carrot top and all the redhead jokes, right? And obviously I hated that. You don't want to be different as a kid, but that is like my favorite thing now. Like, and I can't believe that...
Lori (23:36.666)
Lori (23:43.676)
Okay.
Kelli (23:43.85)
Okay.
Lori (23:56.466)
Right.
Kelli (23:58.71)
Yeah. You don't even have to color your hair! It's ridiculous! Yeah!
Wendy (24:02.806)
I know, right? But I can't believe still today that kids are making fun of people because of their hair color. Like, what is wrong with kids?
Kelli (24:10.305)
think kids are worse today.
Lori (24:10.484)
They, because they just pick anything, anything that, you know what, you know what it is? It's just classic deflection. If I say something about you, then you're not going to have time to say anything about me. So you know what I mean? And that's, and that's how kids roll, unfortunately. And you know what's very odd is that every time, like 98 % of the time when I see somebody out and about who has red hair,
Kelli (24:13.92)
Right.
Wendy (24:23.393)
Yes.
Lori (24:38.118)
I actually stop them and compliment them because it's just so absolutely gorgeous. Like anytime I see anybody with red hair, their hair is just so gorgeous. So it's...
Wendy (24:51.234)
Thank you, I appreciate that. I do, honestly I do because, and I want to tell Whitney's daughter, can't think of her name, it'll come to me, but Bobby, that's it. You are going to grow to love your red hair and you're not gonna want to dye it. And by the way, you're not gonna be able to dye it because red hair is different. You're not gonna be able to dye it, you're not gonna want to dye it, and you're going to love it. It's gonna be one of your favorite attributes when you get a little bit older and realize that they're just jealous.
Kelli (24:59.435)
Bobby.
Lori (25:00.2)
Bobby.
Kelli (25:04.598)
Yeah.
Lori (25:07.626)
it.
Kelli (25:21.003)
Right. Right.
Lori (25:21.032)
Yep. They're just jealous. That's the only reason they're saying it.
Wendy (25:24.526)
So the next stop is the beauty lab and they're going there to pick up Heather, Whitney, Brittany and Bronwyn. And one of the ladies asks, where's Lisa? And they're like, Lisa's not going, which is odd. The RV pulls up and the ladies are shocked to see that this is how they're gonna be leaving and going on this little mini vacation.
which again, this is also only one night. This vacation is one night.
Kelli (25:52.45)
I was just gonna say, weren't they going for one night? And- and Brittany thought they were going somewhere where she could wear a bikini?
Wendy (25:57.216)
It's one night.
Lori (25:57.332)
Yeah, just one night.
Wendy (26:02.337)
Yes.
Lori (26:03.178)
But that's because that's on the invitation. did say bikinis, boots, and there was a picture of a pier. So, you know, she wasn't that far off the mark.
Kelli (26:05.811)
It did, yeah, did say that.
Kelli (26:12.851)
Yeah, was a little mislead. The invitation was definitely misleading.
Wendy (26:13.698)
Yes. Yes, it said, bring your bikini boots and blessings is what the invitation said. And she did show up actually wearing the bikini, which considering they're in Salt Lake City and there was snow on the ground, a little odd.
Lori (26:15.923)
asleep.
Kelli (26:26.667)
That's what I'm saying. You were only going away for a night. Where did you think? Unless she thought they were going to like one of those like hot springs where like, you know.
Lori (26:36.094)
Yeah, but what do they know? I believe also on the invitation was a plane. So maybe she thought they were getting on a plane and staying, you know, going to an island overnight or something. Who knows?
Wendy (26:43.437)
Yes.
Kelli (26:43.551)
Yeah, yeah.
Kelli (26:49.343)
Right, right, right.
Wendy (26:50.124)
get that, my point is you pack the bikini, you don't actually have to wear it. Like, she was wearing it.
Kelli (26:56.001)
But Heather, what did Heather say unless she's going to a pool party at a senator's house? I don't know where you would wear that outfit to. That was so funny.
Lori (26:56.382)
Well...
Lori (27:02.408)
Yeah, because of the way your outfit looks. That outfit? Yeah.
Wendy (27:02.414)
Mm.
Wendy (27:05.89)
Yeah.
Lori (27:08.052)
Well, mean, it's all part of the show. It's all part of the
Wendy (27:11.724)
Yeah, no, it is.
Kelli (27:12.481)
Listen, Brittany's obviously doing whatever Brittany has to do to get attention. I have it in my notes. She's like a toddler. She's like a toddler. And they need to stop feeding into it. Just stop. Just stop giving her any attention. If she starts talking, just talk over her and talk about something else. Because she's exhausting. I can't believe she's back. She's just a friend of though, right? She's not an actual housewife.
Lori (27:18.255)
Almost. It's her MO. Yes, it's her MO.
Lori (27:32.774)
Absolutely exhausting.
Wendy (27:36.088)
So, yep, she's, nope, she's not in my picture behind me. No, just had to double check, nope. So they all get on the bus and Bronwyn is like, I didn't realize she was a germaphobe and these small spaces, she's kind of like freaking out. And then all of a sudden the RV's surrounded by SWAT team and this is reminiscent of the Jan Shaw.
Kelli (27:57.035)
This was amazing.
Wendy (28:01.792)
you know, with the FBI and the ATF and, you know, they get on the bus and they ask for, you know, Whitney Rose and we find out that she hired the SWAT team strippers. I love it too. I love it too. It was great, right? Angie said if they weren't so young, it would have been a little bit better, the strippers. And Mary is like, no, and where are their muscles?
Lori (28:04.116)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (28:06.721)
So good.
Lori (28:15.368)
I love it. Good move, Whitney. Good move.
Kelli (28:18.621)
my God, that was fantastic, fantastic.
Wendy (28:30.944)
I thought that was so funny.
Lori (28:32.146)
Yeah, it's still funny. Yeah, because they weren't particularly large.
Kelli (28:34.049)
How about when they say they're going, yeah, when they say they're going an hour south and Brittany's like, we're gonna go past my house and Mary goes, good, maybe we could drop you off.
Wendy (28:37.237)
No.
Wendy (28:42.734)
job.
Lori (28:43.24)
Hahaha!
Kelli (28:46.163)
I just want to hang out with Mary one time.
Lori (28:49.317)
most definitely.
Kelli (28:50.721)
Right? But I don't like, I want her to like me. Like I don't want to be on the receiving end of that. Right. I don't want to be on the receiving end.
Wendy (28:51.007)
I definitely want to hang out with Mary.
Lori (28:54.634)
Yes, you don't want to hang out with Mary if she's not taking you. No. And the scenery, you know, when they were driving to get to their destination was really very beautiful. They did a lot of like drone shots so you could see the topography and was really, it was really beautiful.
Kelli (29:13.151)
Yeah for sure.
Wendy (29:14.99)
So they all do shots of tequila and Heather asks, where's Lisa? And Angie said, well, it was not clear. She said she had a work out of town. And then they cut to Lisa telling Angie that she doesn't want to spend the night with Braunwyn. She's a pathological liar. But I also have a work thing. I will be with Ben and Blake just to drop a few names. mean.
Lori (29:37.074)
Yeah. Yeah. She said, I don't want to drop any names, but I'll be with Ben and Blake. You know, so I'll be, I'll be with Ben. I'll be, no, not a flex, but I'll be with Ben Affleck while you're with Bron.
Kelli (29:43.925)
I don't think saying you're gonna be with Blake Lively is quite a flex anymore.
Wendy (29:52.162)
Yeah.
Kelli (29:53.939)
I have a feeling Lisa's really gonna annoy me this season and you know I've always been a big fan because of her hair.
Wendy (29:59.63)
Yes, she has, and I've always said she's the most annoying. I'm not a fan of Lisa's, but Kelly's always stood by her because she likes her hair.
Lori (29:59.787)
Kelly likes her because of it.
Kelli (30:10.495)
like for real. That's what it comes down to.
Wendy (30:12.244)
I know, I know. Whitney doesn't think she's working. Britney said, she brings up that, how dare Whitney say that because she's being dragged on social media for her MLM. And I was like, where's this coming from? Whitney said to Britney, how do you make money? Sucking dick. I was like, yeah.
Kelli (30:36.491)
Yeah.
Lori (30:37.167)
yeah, that was like, whoo.
Kelli (30:39.457)
That was harsh.
Wendy (30:40.898)
Brittany jumps in and says, Lisa's a really good friend of mine. And we're just like, what?
Lori (30:45.77)
She's so delusional. She's so delusional. She's so delusional.
Kelli (30:46.543)
Odd pairing. It's a very odd pairing.
Wendy (30:50.146)
She's like, I'm not gonna let someone throw shade at her if she's not here. And then they pull up to the campground and the ladies are shocked. They thought that they were going to some luxury home. meanwhile, it's all muddy and there's a picnic table. There's dumpsters.
Lori (31:06.206)
There's dumpsters and old school buses and broken down campers and
Kelli (31:13.217)
Yeah.
Wendy (31:13.994)
Right. They find out that they're actually sleeping on the RV and Mary's like, I don't know how my name got attached to this trip because like I want this is not me. Like, no.
Kelli (31:24.885)
Does that RV even sleep that many people though? I know it's a big RV, but normally they sleep like six. There's Angie, Mary, Brittany, Whitney, Heather, Bronwyn, Meredith.
Wendy (31:30.903)
I mean...
Lori (31:31.188)
Not easily. Yeah.
Lori (31:43.21)
how many is that?
Kelli (31:44.321)
Is that it? That is only seven. So maybe it does. Okay.
Wendy (31:45.292)
Yeah. Yeah, it probably does sleep seven.
Lori (31:47.339)
Yeah, it's not, yeah. Now I liked when Brittany was going on with her big ass kiss routine. And then after Whitney makes the phallical remark, Angie swigs the bottle of the liquor. Like, I was like, oh, here we go. Yeah.
Kelli (32:08.779)
Here we go.
Wendy (32:11.64)
So they're sitting at the picnic table eating their sandwiches, because that's their lunch, right? And Brittany stands up and says that she has a little activity planned for them, and she hopes it's OK with the hostesses, because she didn't clear it with them. And since she's the video girl, she brought some camcorders for them. And they're going to make a little video diary. OK.
Lori (32:32.039)
Okay.
Wendy (32:34.27)
Angie seems to be on board with it. She thinks it's a great idea. Heather loves being in nature. Angie said it feels weird that Lisa's not here. Whitney said, read online that there are a lot of crazy accusations. And that's when Ronman kind of drops it. Like, you know, it's convenient that she's not here when she's involved in all of these lawsuits.
Kelli (32:58.325)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (32:59.234)
Bronwyn said, Lisa is the one always calling us out for being liars. And then we find out that she's in at least five lawsuits between her and her husband and her businesses. That's a lot of lawsuits. Yep. It's on the Tribune. They kept saying it's on the Tribune. It's in the Tribune. If it's in the Tribune, it must, you right.
Kelli (33:10.113)
And they've all heard about it, like even Mary was like, it's all over.
Lori (33:17.13)
Yeah, in a tribune,
Kelli (33:20.713)
It must be true.
Lori (33:21.864)
And know, at first I was like, you know, when they made the, then they made the comment, who made it? Angie.
about comparing Lisa to Jen Shaw. And when she said it at first, was like, that's not really comparable. then Bronwen is right, though, that it's for Angie to compare Lisa Barlow to Jen Shaw. then it's OK for Lisa to say that Bronwen is as bad as Jen Shaw.
Wendy (33:33.954)
Jensha.
Kelli (33:35.762)
yeah, how about that?
Lori (34:01.067)
And then I was like, you know what? She's kind of, she's kind of right. Then. Yeah.
Wendy (34:06.061)
Right.
Kelli (34:07.841)
I mean, like was Angie's point like Jen didn't tell us about anything going on in her businesses and then all of sudden the SWAT team showed up and took her away and Lisa's now not telling us anything about her business. Is that what the comparison was? All right, so she's not, not that, right. And it's not that Lisa's doing anything illegal. mean, businesses get sued. We have no idea what these allegations are or if there's any merit to them, but.
Lori (34:20.362)
I think that's what Angie meant. But it's certainly not how it came out.
Lori (34:31.657)
Right.
Lori (34:35.934)
Well, I do have them. I do have them on my phone. The allegations. Okay. Let's see here.
Kelli (34:36.619)
but she's not talking about them. She's not being honest.
Wendy (34:41.376)
Okay. Okay.
Lori (34:53.812)
So, the public lawsuits are regarding alleged unpaid loans to her company, Zalux Marketing and Vita Tequila, from a former business partner and a financial services corporation. One of the lawsuits were dismissed, let's see.
So our former, yeah, former business partner, Bart Carlson sued Barlow claiming she owed him over $400,000 for loans to keep her businesses afloat. Barlow denied the claims seeing the accusations were untrue and that Carlson has no investment in Luxe Marketing or Vita Tequila. Let's see.
Kelli (35:14.453)
so she probably paid it.
Kelli (35:36.587)
So this must be the guy with jazz ticket.
Lori (35:40.983)
Yeah, so in June 2024, Bart Carlson was the one who sued for $400,000. Carlson was a former friend and business partner of Barlow, alleged that he loaned her money from 2010 to 2018 for her personal business expenses. And due to their close relationship, the loans initially had no formal repayment schedule.
Wendy (35:41.398)
Maybe.
Lori (36:07.668)
Barlow's lawyers filed a motion to dismiss the case in August 2024.
and the motion to dismiss was denied in October and the case was allowed to proceed. Then there's this lawsuit from William McGarry, August 2024, sued by a Georgia finance man for another $400,000. McGarry claimed he loaned the money to the Barlos through his trust to cover raw material costs for Vita Tequila.
But that case was dismissed three days later after it was filed, though it was dismissed without prejudice, meaning it could be refiled later. Some reports speculate that the case was settled, but the reason for the dismissal was not officially disclosed. And then there's Financial Services Corporation sued Vita Tequila and John Barlow in May 2024, alleging
Lori (37:15.562)
I suck at numbers. I guess this is a million. 105-954.6 and unpaid loans. That's a million, right?
I think so. Yeah. And Lisa was not named in that specific one, but John Barlow was.
Kelli (37:28.831)
have to see it but it sounds like it.
Wendy (37:28.908)
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Kelli (37:37.131)
So it sounds like it's all like investors looking to, maybe not investors, but people who loan the money. It's built, but yeah, it's all financial.
Wendy (37:43.118)
Well, it's business related, yeah.
Lori (37:47.061)
So it says Barlow's defense in her defense, Lisa Barlow and her legal team have maintained the following. There was no enforceable contract regarding the alleged loans. The lawsuits are a fanciful tale created by the former associates. Barlow has always paid her bills and financial obligations. So I don't know.
Wendy (38:10.478)
I don't know either.
Kelli (38:10.603)
I mean, it could all be bullshit. It could all be bullshit. You know, they could have been investors and now saying that they were only loaning them the money under the pretense that they would pay them back. You who knows? It could all be bullshit, but if it's in the press, you should talk about it because if not, you look guilty.
Lori (38:10.728)
We shall see.
Lori (38:14.428)
It could. It could.
Lori (38:24.649)
Yeah, who knows.
It could, it's certainly good.
Wendy (38:28.302)
And Merrith did say that, yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Lori (38:39.274)
Right. And then when you don't show up for an event on a show that you normally film and it's the opening, you know, the first show of the season and you're a no show with that coming on, it's just not a good look.
Kelli (38:57.373)
Or if your attorney's telling you, you can't talk about it, that's all you say. We've seen housewives say that for years. That's legal, my attorney has asked me not to speak about it. Okay, that's literally all you have to say.
Lori (39:01.93)
Yeah, I, yeah. All the time, right.
Lori (39:12.201)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (39:13.418)
Exactly.
Kelli (39:14.655)
Nobody can argue with that.
Wendy (39:16.302)
It's true, and Meredith does bring up the point that, know, borrowing money is a part of doing business. And it does sound like all of these loans or loans in quotation marks, because there's supposedly not proper documentation to say that they're loans, were business related, right? So Heather jumps in, because she doesn't want to bad mouth Lisa and said that she's not going to sit here and talk about Lisa when
Kelli (39:31.425)
Right.
Sure, yeah.
Wendy (39:46.338)
talking to Bronwyn saying, just got caught lying about a $4 million necklace. Okay, one has absolutely nothing to do with the other.
Lori (39:53.447)
No.
Kelli (39:53.97)
It doesn't, but I'm gonna say this. It did give Braunwin the opportunity to be honest and acknowledge what she did. And she did. She took that opportunity.
Wendy (40:03.351)
Yeah.
Lori (40:03.89)
Yeah, and I thought that was really, really big of her. And that's one of the things where you get those little moments sometimes in Housewives where you're like, okay, some of this is not totally scripted. Because for her to come on and to admit that she acted in an immature way in order to be cool, which was her words, that's, you know.
Wendy (40:07.639)
Yes.
Kelli (40:31.925)
Yeah, no, I thought that was a great moment.
Wendy (40:33.07)
Yeah, took ownership in it. now we give her a little more credibility, right? I do. I do.
Lori (40:41.662)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (40:41.749)
Yes. So whatever Heather was trying to do, it almost backfired because Bronwyn, I thought, came out looking better after she took accountability.
Lori (40:50.482)
Right. And really all Heather had to do instead of all this dancing about was say, look, we don't know what's going on with Lisa. She's not here to talk to us about it, but whatever it is, she's part of our group. Let's all try and be supportive of her. And that's all she had to say.
Kelli (41:09.377)
That's all she had to say.
Wendy (41:12.118)
No, but then she doubles down and says, you know, has anyone, does anyone know what it's like to be on a trip with all your friends and them talking about you? And Mary said, well, I know what it's like. Actually, I was on a trip with all my friends and I went to bed and then they were talking about me. So again.
Kelli (41:12.606)
all shared today.
Lori (41:25.77)
I mean, that's all they do is talk about each other. that's it's kind of, yeah. I don't know where you're going with that.
Kelli (41:27.765)
That's all you guys do is talk about each other.
Wendy (41:29.314)
Right.
Kelli (41:32.833)
So yes, I believe everyone sitting there has had this happen to them.
Wendy (41:36.822)
Right, and Angie says, listen, I'm not saying anything here I wouldn't say to Lisa. I would say it to her face, and Heather's like, well, if you do tell her, don't say that I was a part of this. Like, okay, all right, Heather, we know that you're not a part of it.
Kelli (41:48.321)
She's so scared of her.
Lori (41:49.8)
Yes, it's.
Kelli (41:52.704)
And then they start saying how, talking about how Lisa says things about all the other ladies and they flash back and she's talking about all of them. She's saying something about all of them.
Wendy (42:00.682)
All of them. Yep. Every single one of them except for Brittany. She didn't have anything to say about Brittany, but that's very odd. But that's when Brittany decides to, she has an announcement that Jared and her got engaged.
Lori (42:02.25)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Kelli (42:07.777)
Which is really odd.
Lori (42:09.256)
Yeah. Very odd.
Lori (42:14.81)
off.
It's just, it's just.
Wendy (42:18.89)
It's really, it almost.
Lori (42:20.766)
The shit show is unbelievable.
Kelli (42:20.811)
and then they got unengaged.
Wendy (42:24.237)
Yeah.
Kelli (42:26.965)
This is what I mean. When she gets up and says, guys, I have an announcement, they should just completely ignore her and start talking about something else and start talking louder. Don't give her any moments. She sucks. She sucks on this show.
Lori (42:39.978)
It's crazy.
Wendy (42:41.966)
It sucks that she has to stand up every single time and say she has an announcement. Like, where did she...
Lori (42:47.498)
and cling on the thing like she's at a wedding.
Kelli (42:49.343)
Guys? Yeah, like, sit down.
Wendy (42:52.878)
So then Angie has plans for this trip. You're either gonna go fly fishing or you're go kayaking.
Kelli (43:00.545)
wait, how about when Whitney said that she sees Jared at the gym all the time and he's introducing her to girls he's on dates with. Which I mean, do you go, yeah, he appears single. Do you really go to the gym for a date? But I guess if that lunch spot is that good, maybe you do.
Wendy (43:03.84)
Yes. Any?
Lori (43:04.223)
Nah.
Wendy (43:07.573)
He appears single.
Lori (43:16.99)
You know, I'm, and believe me, I'm in no way, or form defending Jared. But I mean, he could be sitting there having lunch with somebody that he saw at the gym. It doesn't mean he's necessarily on a date. I, I, again, I'm not saying that's not entirely plausible because it is. I love when they were around the campfire and Meredith was, we're not talking about that.
Kelli (43:30.942)
No, you're right. You're right.
Wendy (43:42.446)
Wait, wait, we're not there yet. First we have to go fly fishing and kayaking. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So Angie has fly fishing planned and kayaking and the ladies split up. Fly fishing is Brittany, Mary, Meredith and Angie. Kayaking is Whitney, Bronwyn and Heather. So I don't know if you remember when Mary was fly fishing and she's talking to Dusty. She couldn't get his name for one. Gusty. I mean, yeah.
Lori (43:46.986)
Bye.
Kelli (44:07.713)
kept calling him gusty with a G.
Wendy (44:12.51)
And she thought that if you kill a fish, you could bring it back to life.
Kelli (44:16.757)
Yeah, what was that? What was she talking about?
Lori (44:18.282)
That was just odd. It was just odd.
Wendy (44:20.576)
It was very odd. So over kayaking, Whitney decides that Bronwyn and Heather really need to make up. So she puts them together in the kayak and she's in the kayak by herself while Heather's in the front of the kayak and Bronwyn is behind her. And Bronwyn's like, okay, this is how we make up. Like, you know, I'm stuck behind Heather, right? You know, I'm just doing whatever she wants me to do because I'm stuck, you know, paddling behind her.
And then Heather asks the guide if he's ever heard, if this is the place where the legend of Molly Sorensen happened. And he's like, yeah. And then she tells us a little bit about Molly Sorensen. She was a fundamentalist Mormon and she's come up to this area where like girls and boys would make out and sin with their boyfriends and she would kidnap them and sacrifice them. Okay, that's a little, yeah, yeah.
Kelli (45:15.637)
And the guy knew all about it.
Lori (45:17.086)
You know all about, yeah. But it was funny, right when they said that I was like, okay, now I get the Blair Witch thing. Now it's making sense. Now it's making sense.
Kelli (45:23.328)
Yes.
Wendy (45:23.666)
Yes. Yes. Okay. Now we're at the fire. Now, now we're at the fire. Now the ladies are at the fire making dinner. So what are we going to say happened to the fire?
Kelli (45:26.304)
Yes.
Lori (45:28.284)
Now we're at the. Yeah. Yes. just when, Meredith and, Brittany got into it and Meredith turns around and says, I find you totally uninteresting. was just like.
Wendy (45:44.49)
Ha ha ha ha!
Kelli (45:46.449)
As do we, Meredith. As do we.
Lori (45:46.857)
great. Yes, as do most people on the planet. Yeah, but I just thought that was really funny. Yeah, it was great. It was just a totally Meredith moment. was great.
Wendy (45:48.216)
Yes. Yes.
Kelli (45:52.577)
That's hysterical. I don't even know if I heard her say that. That's so funny.
Yeah
Wendy (46:01.3)
So Angie, in planning this trip, really did not do a good job with the food. She didn't have buns. She brought asparagus for a campfire and no way to cook them.
Kelli (46:05.919)
No, not a foodie Angie, he's not a foodie.
Lori (46:15.294)
Cook it, no condiments.
Kelli (46:15.989)
Yeah, actually I shouldn't say that she's not a foodie because she's Greek so she probably really is a foodie. Yeah, she probably really is but Yeah, yeah, yeah
Lori (46:19.508)
She is, she is the foodie. But maybe that's, you know, it is part of the shtick, I'm sure.
Wendy (46:25.898)
Yeah, mean, poor Mary, she's like, she's not cooking her food on a stick. She's just gonna starve.
Kelli (46:31.297)
She's trying to cook a Boca burger on a stick.
Lori (46:31.55)
Yeah, her book. Yeah, but her burger on a stick.
Wendy (46:36.078)
She winds up just eating a bagel. She's like, I'll just eat a bagel. I probably honestly would have done the same thing. I don't know. I don't know that I would be.
Kelli (46:39.649)
Yes, you definitely would have. would have, I don't eat hot dogs, but in that situation, I would have sucked it up and ate a hot dog. I would have had to.
Lori (46:41.332)
Same thing,
Lori (46:49.264)
Thank you.
Wendy (46:49.678)
So that's when Heather asked Bronwyn if she ever heard of the creepy stories when she was at BYU, you know, that happened in this canyon. And she's like, yeah, she, you know, she knew about it. And then Heather starts telling the other ladies about Molly Sorensen. And Mary's like, Molly needs to come fix this food because...
Lori (47:11.465)
Yeah.
Kelli (47:12.607)
Mary said if Molly were true, she would have come and cooked for them.
Lori (47:15.55)
Yeah.
Wendy (47:15.614)
Heather asked if it would be like this if Lisa was here. what is, no, Angie asked that. Would it be like this
Kelli (47:30.695)
Andy thinks Heather and Bronwyn were getting along because Lisa wasn't there and Heather's acting more like herself and Heather got upset over that.
Wendy (47:34.518)
Right.
Wendy (47:38.006)
Yeah, yeah she did. Brittany and Whitney start going at each other and Brittany asked Whitney like, why did you say that? I suck Jared's dick for money. Whitney's like, well after you came after my business, I came after you. Like you're the one who came after me. And then Whitney really opened up. She's like, listen, I had a business and it failed and Justin went all in. He was there with me and now we have nothing.
I don't have a business that's pending lawsuits that's in legal turmoil. I had to fire 30 employees. Like this is real shit that's going on, you know? I failed at something I was really excited about. Like it was successful and then like we screwed it up. Somehow we screwed it up.
Kelli (48:13.035)
Yeah.
Kelli (48:21.151)
Yeah, I was just gonna say, like, do we know what happened?
Lori (48:24.584)
Well, I'm sure it didn't help with that whole Alibaba thing. I mean, I'm sure that that did not help her at all because I'm sure people were like, fuck this, I'm not buying this jewelry if I can get it on like Alibaba for, you know.
Kelli (48:30.079)
Right, right, right.
Kelli (48:34.941)
No, you're absolutely right.
Kelli (48:43.745)
And that was all Meredith. Meredith and Heather or Meredith and Lisa? Who did that? Who's, Meredith was definitely involved. that was the whole Adam thing?
Lori (48:49.674)
We never figured out who did that.
Wendy (48:55.352)
That was the whole Adam thing. I did hear it was something to do with, they had some company that was going to like take over their company and they had like all the paper signed and everything was like ready to go. And then all of a sudden it wasn't. And at that point they had lost everything. Whatever they did to make this deal work, it had something to do with that. I don't know the specifics of it. I will look it up though to see.
Kelli (49:23.327)
Yeah.
Lori (49:25.01)
Yeah, that I didn't look up.
Wendy (49:25.262)
But she's like, I don't need my friends on this girls trip, like bringing up things like that and rubbing it in my face. And Brittany's like, my God, I'm sorry. Like I didn't know, I'm sorry. She's like, but you were just defending Lisa. it's not even like you had it, like this wasn't even for you to talk about. Like you're coming after me to defend Lisa. It's not like I was coming after you. Right.
Kelli (49:51.199)
Right, just because she says right.
Lori (49:53.162)
Thank
Wendy (49:54.893)
Wendy (49:58.414)
Bronwyn has backup, she said. She has documents. She has actual court documents. So it's not like just some, you know, hearsay thing we're talking about. There's actual facts out there about what's going on with Lisa. And she's like, I'm not scared to admit it. Like, I'm what I'm alluding to with Lisa because it's real information. It's not just rumors. And Brittany's like, I think that's fair. You know, I'm very, very sorry. She apologizes to Whitney.
Lori (50:21.001)
Right.
Kelli (50:27.967)
tries to hug her and Whitney shot that right down.
Wendy (50:29.228)
and tries to hug her and she's like, no, like, no, this is not, like, I'm not ready for this yet. And then she brings it up again about, after Whitney opens up her heart to her and pours her soul out in front of everybody, she's like, well, I still want you to apologize for telling me to suck. Yeah.
Lori (50:29.524)
Whitney's like, get away from me.
Kelli (50:46.207)
I still want an apology. So I don't know when or how this happened, but all of a sudden the trip has become about Brittany and I can't stand her. So somebody needs to put a stop to it right now. This is what I'm saying. Like she's like, I can't take, like the people like this, don't, I don't want them on my TV. This is an ensemble cast, honey. You're a friend of stop trying to have every moment. You can have some moments, but not every moment. And you're trying to have
Lori (50:58.698)
Kelly's getting all checked up. I love it.
Lori (51:12.732)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. She tries way too hard. She tries way too hard.
Kelli (51:15.613)
every moment and it's driving me up a wall. She's such a tryhard. It's like so annoying. And they need to shut it down. These other girls need to shut it down. Like basically just tell her to shut up. Nobody cares, Brittany. Shut up.
Wendy (51:23.19)
It is annoying.
Wendy (51:33.462)
Yeah, I mean, that's it. Nobody does care. And that's what she like, she just tries to bring it back to her.
Kelli (51:38.377)
Right. That's what I mean. All of a sudden this trip has become about her and I, you know, I'm not here
Wendy (51:45.228)
I mean, Heather opens up and says, you know, many business, you know, she's had many losses before beauty lab. You know, that was, you know, and Bronwyn's like, that's where we learn is from the losses. And the ladies are really supporting her. And that's what that's Whitney's point. She's like, you know, if Lisa came to these, to this friend group and was honest with us, we would be here to support you. Like these ladies are now supporting me is basically what she was saying. And she's not wrong.
Kelli (51:50.207)
Yeah. Yeah.
Kelli (52:05.461)
was honest, yeah.
Lori (52:13.834)
Right.
Wendy (52:14.647)
She's not.
Wendy (52:19.022)
Brittany said, I can still give you sympathy and still want an apology. And Meredith said, well, the one person that was kind to you, you turned on. And I'm thinking, wait, wasn't kind to Brittany.
Lori (52:30.76)
Maybe she meant Whitney, no maybe she meant Whitney was kind to Britney. At some point.
Kelli (52:32.203)
Heather?
Wendy (52:37.787)
maybe. I don't know. I didn't know what she meant by that. I don't know what she meant by that.
Lori (52:40.754)
I don't know. Yeah. That's what I was thinking.
Wendy (52:46.328)
so then what happened?
Kelli (52:48.321)
Heather brings up the Molly Sorensen thing again, she's very fixated on this. And Mary says that the black person always dies first in a scary movie. Now I don't really watch scary movies because I'm a frady cat. So I don't know if that's true, but I thought it was hysterical.
Lori (52:59.018)
You know I look-
I looked that up. I looked it up. I looked it up because I was curious about that too. So I'm saying, yeah. So a big thing for that was they called the Scream 2 effect. So in 1979, the movie Scream 2 drew attention because they killed two black characters in the opening scene.
Kelli (53:08.385)
She was just so funny how she said it.
Lori (53:30.982)
in a deliberate move. And this cemented the Black Eye Die's first idea.
Kelli (53:40.671)
And then Scary Movie was like a spoof on Scream and they really like took that to a whole other level.
Lori (53:45.605)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. yeah, it is definitely a valid point. so, because for a long time, Black characters were often included in horror films as sidekicks or minor roles, not essential figures to the plot. So then they guess they would be killed off first because then that kind of set the precedence for what's going to happen for the rest of the movie. So she's not wrong.
Wendy (53:49.4)
So it was valid. It was a valid point she was making.
Kelli (54:16.309)
Well, they go hunting down Molly Sorensen.
Wendy (54:16.568)
So.
with their camcorders in hands. They all have their camcorders, right?
Lori (54:20.586)
Mm-hmm. And the Blair Witch project continues into the woods. my gosh.
Kelli (54:26.143)
Yeah, Brittany's the worst actress ever. She was ridiculous, but Meredith like legit seems scared and then does she fall or something?
Wendy (54:26.605)
Yes.
Lori (54:36.636)
She must, yeah.
Wendy (54:37.73)
Somebody falls. How do you know it was Meredith? Because I couldn't figure it out the way those cameras...
Lori (54:40.746)
I thought it was Meredith too, Kel. I don't know why, but I guess so. Like she was the last person to talk or something.
Kelli (54:42.58)
I thought it was Meredith.
Wendy (54:43.828)
Okay. It probably was.
Kelli (54:45.771)
Cause it was, I think somebody said, Meredith, but she, cause they showed her and she was like, I want to go home. And then you hear like a crash. So maybe it wasn't, but I thought somebody said like, Meredith, but I could be wrong.
Wendy (54:56.94)
Yeah, so I mean, I'll be honest with you, for a first episode of a season that we've been waiting so long for, I kind of think it sucked. I did, I did. I thought it sucked. I mean, we're opening up with the RV and the camping and I thought it sucked. You didn't, I didn't like it. I mean.
Lori (55:06.366)
Yeah. Yeah, I did. thought it sucked too.
Kelli (55:06.762)
You did?
Kelli (55:16.445)
I didn't mind it.
Lori (55:18.154)
Are you it? I didn't like it. I didn't like it either.
Kelli (55:20.063)
I couldn't stand Brittany, but you know, listen, people irritate me, obviously, and I do not hide my emotions, so.
Lori (55:24.276)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (55:29.533)
I when we get to see what's coming this season, so we've got Greece that we're going to, we've got the Below Deck coming, we've got a tarot card reading. So yeah, so I'm excited to see what's coming, but this first episode I thought was just a bad way to, not that it was bad, I just didn't think it was great.
Kelli (55:37.077)
That's gonna be amazing.
Lori (55:41.535)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (55:41.962)
Interesting.
Lori (55:53.503)
Right. Well, all the housewives are, you know, scripted and planned out, the whole thing. But sometimes, if the show's good enough, I can somewhat be fooled. And like I said, there's always those moments that I feel like I'm watching them and I'm like, okay, I don't think that they really meant that to, like, I even questioned Britney's suck dick comment.
Because I feel like she really was, like I feel like that kind of just came out of her because she was really, yeah, like yeah, like that was like, I kind of felt that that was kind of real. But for some reason for me, this episode seemed like very contrived and very of that made up housewife thing that I always know that it really is. But sometimes if it's good, like I, you know, I forget.
Wendy (56:29.1)
Whitney said that to Britney. Yeah, yeah.
Kelli (56:46.271)
sometimes you forget.
Kelli (56:50.283)
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lori (56:50.622)
But it just seemed very, the episode just seemed very like contrived and a little like, and a little overly dramatic. it just, I don't know. I'm with Wendy.
Wendy (56:54.2)
I agree with you.
Kelli (56:55.393)
like manufactured.
Wendy (57:01.922)
Yeah, I didn't love it. Watch What Happens Live was on afterwards, and Angie and Demi Lovato were on.
Kelli (57:02.187)
Okay.
Lori (57:07.57)
Yeah, I saw that.
Talk about hair, Angie's hair on Watch What Happens Live. my God, it looks so gorgeous. So gorgeous.
Kelli (57:14.433)
Yeah, she's got great hair.
Wendy (57:19.692)
Demi Lovato's new album comes out on October 24th. I actually like Demi Lovato, so I'm gonna listen to it. I'm gonna listen to it. So we find out that Demi actually binged all five seasons this year, twice of Salt Lake City. Yeah, because she watched it once and then she was telling her husband about it and she wanted him to watch it with her and he did. So she watched it twice. Andy did an Open the Polls.
Kelli (57:25.225)
I do too.
Kelli (57:33.554)
see, so I'm not crazy.
Lori (57:33.608)
Yeah, isn't that crazy? Yeah. No, no, no.
Wendy (57:49.954)
Whose side are you on? Lisa or Angie, Bronwyn and Whitney? Angie, Bronwyn and Whitney is one category. That one by 85%.
Lori (58:00.489)
Yeah. yeah.
Wendy (58:02.574)
Did the women go too hard on Lisa behind her back? 70 % said no.
Lori (58:08.084)
That's Everybody said no.
Kelli (58:10.689)
Yeah, mean listen, if you dish it, you gotta be able to take it.
Lori (58:14.832)
Yeah, they asked, I guess they asked Angie, who cries the most? Come on, Brittany, of course.
Wendy (58:23.182)
Yes. Did Bronwyn do a good job owning up to her necklace snafu? 80 % said yes.
Kelli (58:30.697)
Yeah, I think so.
Lori (58:30.762)
Yep.
Wendy (58:33.357)
Would you trust Angie to drive you in an RV?
37 % said yes. I don't know that I would trust her either.
Kelli (58:40.865)
you
think I
Wendy (58:46.126)
They asked the audience which Housewife franchise should Demi Lovato get into next because this was like her first one, Salt Lake City.
Lori (58:54.526)
This was surprising. This answer to me was very surprising.
Kelli (58:54.636)
this is her first housewives.
Wendy (58:59.406)
So the audience said 27 % was the winner with New York City. Well, no, because if you're going to get into one, you're going to start from the beginning.
Lori (59:05.928)
Yeah, I know, right? I know, right?
Kelli (59:06.207)
Not the new one. Not the new one.
Lori (59:13.738)
okay. no. they meant the old New York one. now it makes sense. Now makes sense. I was just thinking. I was thinking the same thing,
Kelli (59:13.814)
but it sucks.
Wendy (59:15.498)
No, but you're going to start from the beginning. You're going to start from beginning.
Kelli (59:20.935)
yeah, start with old New York. I thought you meant, I thought you meant because the new one's current, like start with that one. Ugh, it sucks, don't do it.
Wendy (59:23.166)
Yes, not to start now.
Lori (59:28.264)
Right. Right. Right. Yeah. Yeah. That's yeah.
Wendy (59:31.086)
No, no, I mean, that's how I understood the question. Like if you're gonna start, if you're gonna start a new like Housewives franchise, like from the beginning, like she did with this one, which one? So 27 % said New York. Second place was Miami with 23%, which I'm surprised because when people ask me, like if I'm gonna start watching, I still to this day, I still say Beverly Hills. I say Beverly Hills.
Kelli (59:34.146)
yeah, old New York for sure.
Lori (59:34.226)
No, you're right. You're right. Yeah.
Kelli (59:56.726)
Well, I think Beverly Hills sets the bar for the luxury, but I would say OC because it's what really started Housewives. That was really what Housewives was before it became this.
Wendy (01:00:03.278)
Well, it's the first one.
Wendy (01:00:09.134)
But I think if you start with OC, you'll be so disappointed. Because if you see where it started and where it is now, you know what I'm saying? I always tell people Beverly Hills. And the bartender that night was Angie's husband, Sean. And in the audience was Michaels from Southern Hospitality, as well as Maddie, TJ, and Joe Bradley.
Kelli (01:00:17.661)
Yeah, yeah, no Beverly Hills is a good one.
Lori (01:00:17.864)
Right.
Lori (01:00:29.578)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (01:00:29.967)
Kelli (01:00:39.489)
so I guess he and TJ and Joe Bradley are on good terms.
Wendy (01:00:41.015)
So.
I guess so. Yeah. So that's what we have for Salt Lake City and our recap of City Winery and Virtual Reality Awards. Right?
Lori (01:00:56.219)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (01:00:56.545)
You know, I was just thinking about this because I saw a clip. I'm kind of surprised we didn't see Dorinda last night. But I did see a clip today of her talking to Luanne and she says to Luanne, know, people ask me if I would go back. And she said I would, but I would only go back with my girls because it was fun. You know, we know each other. We we know how, you know, we all tick.
Wendy (01:01:02.582)
Hmm, I'm not.
Lori (01:01:23.21)
and
Kelli (01:01:26.837)
She said the way it is now with the bloggers and the backstabbing and the, you know, everything that happens off season, off camera. She's like, that I wouldn't want to do. And I agree with her.
Wendy (01:01:39.736)
That's interesting because I just saw a clip of her today talking to Danny and Evan from Virtual Reality. And she was kind of saying that she's not in with Bravo anymore. That they're not including her in anything. And if you think about it, they're not. So.
Kelli (01:01:51.563)
Really?
Kelli (01:01:56.736)
Yeah. Or Luan or Sonya, like none of them.
Wendy (01:02:01.462)
Yeah, no, she's not really in with them.
Kelli (01:02:04.693)
Wow. What a shame. Cause these, the new New York was awful. Awful.
Wendy (01:02:06.167)
So that's.
Lori (01:02:10.408)
Yeah. I thought it was interesting. They had this segment on the watch, What Happens Live, where they had like this creepy Mary Sorensen and Mary Sorensen got to ask questions to Demi Lato and Angie. And they asked who Angie is the most spooked to meet at BravoCon this year. And she couldn't think of anybody. She couldn't think of, but who do think she finally came out with?
What name?
Kelli (01:02:41.471)
I don't want to say it because people are going to think, know, Teresa.
Lori (01:02:45.03)
No, she said Heather Dubrow. She was the most spooked to me. So I was like, okay. Yeah. I thought that was kind of interesting. Yeah.
Kelli (01:02:47.659)
Kelli (01:02:52.737)
That's interesting.
Well she shouldn't be spooked because Heather's a fake and phony so she'll be super nice to her face. Just don't cross her. You got nothing to worry about. Just don't say she called the paparazzi on herself. And you'll be fine.
Wendy (01:02:56.258)
Yeah.
Lori (01:02:58.704)
There you go. Right. Right. Right.
Lori (01:03:09.042)
Thank you.
Wendy (01:03:09.186)
and you'll be talking about it four seasons later.
Kelli (01:03:11.521)
And she'll be hiring more paparazzi to stop her in the middle of the street on Rodeo Drive to say that she didn't hire the first paparazzi.
Lori (01:03:20.178)
Yes.
Wendy (01:03:20.354)
Yep, that's what's gonna happen.
other news this week, while I'm thinking about it. They've kind of announced the spinoff for Summer House in the city. We don't know a lot of details about it, but just the title alone kind of gives it away in the city. And we know that Lindsay's a part of it, and we kind of know that Kyle and Amanda are a part of it. We don't know who else though.
Kelli (01:03:31.318)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (01:03:48.799)
Andrea, I heard Andrea's on.
Wendy (01:03:50.122)
yes, and his wife actually, him and his wife are a part of it. So I'm excited for that to be quite honest with you. I'm excited because we've always said that and that's what I said about New York City. Like that itself is a character. Like there should be a character in these shows, the city.
Kelli (01:04:04.543)
Yeah, like I would, I'm definitely gonna watch this. I'm not the biggest Kyle Cook fan, but I do think it's time for him to phase out of Summer House. And if we have to watch him on something, then I guess this is a good option. But I mean, at this point, just get rid of New York Housewives and let's just have this. Because you have a cast of people who are already established, people like them, you know.
Wendy (01:04:17.742)
If we have to.
Wendy (01:04:26.283)
No, we're getting...
Wendy (01:04:32.588)
And no, I still want my New York Housewives back.
Kelli (01:04:34.527)
Well then they better get some new ones because...
Wendy (01:04:37.58)
I think they're working on it. I think they're working on it.
Kelli (01:04:39.283)
I mean, yeah, but they're keeping Jessel, Erin, and Sy. I'm not. They're not great. Jessel, Jessel I'd watch, but I don't like the other two. I didn't like any of them really, but I'll watch Jessel.
Wendy (01:04:44.79)
I'm okay with that. Okay, well I am.
Wendy (01:04:59.51)
Okay. So until next time, thank you for watching and listening. Please subscribe and give us five star reviews. Bye.
Lori (01:04:59.815)
All right.
Kelli (01:05:07.285)
Bye.
Lori (01:05:08.191)
Bye.
