Tubing, Tension & Total Chaos | Southern Hospitality Episode 5

🎯 SUMMARY

This episode mixes messy fun with real tension as the group heads to the Edisto River for a tubing trip—but the drama definitely comes along for the ride.

Mia deals with a frustrating loss after her belongings are stolen, while also reflecting on her breakup with Troy and trying to stay strong. Meanwhile, Joe is prepping for his emo-themed 30th birthday, bringing chaotic energy to the group.

Relationship tensions bubble up:

  • Emmy vs. Bradley continues, with unresolved conflict over alleged microaggressions and miscommunication.
  • Michols vs. Lake escalates as trust breaks down after private conversations are shared, leaving Lake feeling isolated and hurt.
  • TJ and Michols flirt heavily, but TJ struggles with insecurity despite clear mutual attraction.

The group tries to let loose with tubing, drinking, and beach games—but things stay messy:

  • Wild conversations in the cars (very on-brand chaos)
  • Hookup confessions and questionable stories (Joe 👀)
  • Subtle shade and not-so-subtle tension throughout the trip

The emotional low point comes when Lake calls her mom, seeking support but instead gets tough love, highlighting deeper issues around identity, trust, and friendship within the group.

Overall, it’s a classic Southern Hospitality mix of party vibes, blurred lines, and underlying conflict that’s ready to explode.

Wendy (00:01.038)
Hi, welcome to Wee One Whenever, I'm Wendy.

Kelli (00:04.334)
I'm Kelly.

Wendy (00:05.762)
We are talking about Southern Hospitality, season four, episode number five, float around and find out. it's all right.

Kelli (00:15.662)
I mean, I like the twist on words, float around and find out. I just don't know who you're talking about. If we're talking about Lake and Michaels, then, eh, because I have a lot of thoughts on that. He's talking to everybody else about it, except going right to Lake, so.

Wendy (00:20.248)
Yeah.

Wendy (00:24.748)
Yeah.

Wendy (00:28.386)
I think that's who, yeah.

I know, I know, I agree. So we start out with Joe is planning his 30th birthday party. His theme is emo. Okay. It's gonna be a concert. It's gonna be like an event. Okay, Joe. I can't wait to see this party. Then we see Mia is talking to her dad. She's telling him that Troy packed up all of her stuff to ship it back to her.

Kelli (00:49.528)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (01:01.246)
And in there was her Miss World trophy, her YSL bag, her shoes, her jewelry. I don't understand why did he leave it outside for 20 minutes? Because it was stolen. Like, why was it? Like, that doesn't make sense.

Kelli (01:11.478)
I don't know.

I don't know. Like if I'm sending a package, which I don't do often, but if I do, I go to UPS or I go to FedEx, they slap a label on it and they put it behind the counter. I've never scheduled it to be picked up. I would imagine that that was a fairly decent sized box. And she's right. Like, why wouldn't you insure that? Call her, have her pay for the insurance. I'm sure she would have had no problem. That is...

I mean, the bag, yes, understandable, because it's expensive, but the trophy? I mean...

Wendy (01:48.472)
Well, there's not even a price you can put on that. That's not replaceable.

Kelli (01:51.768)
There's that's absolutely you can't replace that and it's priceless. That was horrible. I felt bad for her.

Wendy (01:56.502)
Right, listen, love the conversation with her dad and her dad's like, listen, know, it's all material stuff. accept the Y, like he, you know, understood the YSL bag hurt. I loved what her father said to her. Her father said, God doesn't give battles to the weak, only to the warriors. You're resilient.

Kelli (02:15.32)
Didn't that make you feel better about your battles?

Wendy (02:18.158)
Yeah, love, listen, I love that he gave her that advice. You're resilient and you're a superstar. And Mia said, yeah, I rise up from the ashes like a phoenix. I love that father daughter advice. I really like her dad. And I actually, know, she is beautiful. Mia is very pretty. And it really hit me this episode. And I don't know why, maybe it was her confessional look or whatever it was, but she is a beautiful, she's very pretty. She's very pretty.

Kelli (02:31.255)
Absolutely.

Kelli (02:46.328)
she looks like JLo to be. Like, I feel like she could be mistaken for JLo.

Wendy (02:49.171)
yes. Yeah, she does have that JLo vibe. Yeah, she definitely does. Yep.

Kelli (02:55.084)
And I'm not saying that that's why she's pretty, because she is gorgeous, but she has a very JLo look. Not that she's trying to, but I feel like she could get mistaken for JLo.

Wendy (02:58.026)
No, she really is very pretty.

Wendy (03:03.902)
Right. Yeah, she's a very pretty girl. Then we see TJ's FaceTiming with Maddie because he's looking at places for them to stay Airbnbs when they go tubing. And we find out that Maddie is banned from Airbnbs and it's been five years because she's thrown too many parties. Love that. I love that. Yeah.

Kelli (03:23.95)
I like when she starts going through what's happened, that there were so many people dancing on a counter that it just collapsed. That's a lot of people. A lot of people.

Wendy (03:33.078)
Yes, serious. Yes, yes. Yes. Then we see Emmy tells Maddie that there's still rumblings, that Bradley is still upset with her. And Emmy wants to talk to him because she doesn't want to bring this on their tubing trip, which I get. I totally get that.

Kelli (03:53.592)
She says she doesn't understand why he's still upset, but she doesn't know that he knows that she said, I just apologize because I don't know what they would do.

Wendy (03:59.821)
Right.

Kelli (04:04.982)
When she said they could ruin my life or I don't know how they would retaliate, I didn't take that as anything physical. I think she's talking about what TJ and Brad did last year to her relationship on national television. That's how I took it, right? Yeah.

Wendy (04:15.21)
No, absolutely not.

Wendy (04:24.376)
Yes. Yes. Well, she even said when she was talking to Maddie, like, look what he did to you because you said that he was getting a BJ. You know, like that's what she was referring to, not anything physical.

Kelli (04:35.427)
bright.

I mean, that was a great length, right. That was great lengths to go to. You had some girl fake a story. Come on TV and fake a story. So yes, you are capable of, you know, some doing some shitty stuff to people.

Wendy (04:46.634)
Right. Right. Exactly. Right.

Wendy (04:56.534)
No, I totally agree, based on that. mean, and that's what she was basing it on. That's what she was basing it on.

So then we see Michaels actually there at work and Michaels is really riding Lake at work. And she can see it, she can feel the tension. And it was obvious, it was very obvious. He pulls Brad aside and talks to Brad about it. Then Emmy asks Brad if they can have a chat and they start to have the chat and Brad's like, listen, I don't wanna do this at work. And I'll blame him. Listen, work is not the place to have this conversation, especially when he feels the way he does.

Kelli (05:15.822)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Kelli (05:33.45)
No, but he did just have a conversation with Lake. He did just have a conversation with Lake at work, so.

Wendy (05:35.662)
Okay.

Wendy (05:39.79)
Yeah. Listen, don't think that that was, I don't think that, because it wasn't going to go well. Like it just wasn't going to go well.

So Brad said, tomorrow we can have the full conversation. I just don't want to do it while I'm at work. That's when Michael pulls Brad aside and starts talking about Lake. And that's when we find out that he's annoyed at her because she's still talking about the microaggression. But he's saying that she's saying it to everybody. But I think that from what I can understand from what happened is she only mentioned it to Ella. And then Ella repeated it. And Lake is very upset that that happened.

But she doesn't know that that's why Michaels is upset with her, because he never told her.

Kelli (06:24.12)
Right. No, he did not. This is now, to me, getting a little out of control. Microaggressions are wrong, obviously. They're very wrong. But it's now part of the storyline. So Lake is, again, a very well-educated, lovely young lady, and she just mentioned it to somebody that that's what she and Brad were talking about.

Wendy (06:27.307)
And I get, I get.

Wendy (06:34.572)
Right. Right.

Kelli (06:54.326)
Okay, Michael said don't, Michael kind of said don't talk to Emmy about it.

Wendy (06:59.352)
That's what he said, and she didn't tell Emmy. Ella told Emmy. Right.

Kelli (07:02.092)
Right. Right.

But why are we keeping it a secret? If the whole point of this is to teach Emmy about microaggressions so she's not guilty of saying one again, then wouldn't we want Emmy to know that this is what they're talking about? It's getting very messy. TJ and Brad have always been messy. Michael's is getting messy. And Michael's is, this episode.

Wendy (07:06.38)
Yes.

Wendy (07:24.802)
Yeah, I would want to know.

Kelli (07:34.208)
I saw a very immature side of him. He is very young. I hope Lev is watching this because this man should not be running your business. The way he approached Molly outside, what he's doing now with Blake. It's the general manager.

Wendy (07:45.422)
think he's running it. He's an assistant manager. Like she's still there. No, he's the assistant manager. He's an assistant manager. He's not running it.

Kelli (07:52.897)
Okay. I don't feel like he should be in any powerful position over all of these other people. You know what I mean? There's a very immature side to him that we're seeing now.

Wendy (08:02.198)
Yeah, no, he, I agree. I totally agree. Yeah. And then we see him and Michaels, meet up to get manicures and pedicures. And Michael starts talking about how he's getting a lot of DMs because of all the thirst trap photos that he posts. And TJ is starting to feel a little bit insecure because he keeps getting messages from either like really old people or like really young people. Cause TJ is in his thirties. Michaels is in his early twenties.

And he's like, am I ugly? And then all of sudden the producers ask TJ what his type is. And he basically describes Michaels, tall, dark, and handsome. And then they ask Michaels what his type is, and he basically describes TJ, a little bit older, full head of hair, in good shape. I don't care how tall. You don't care about height. And then they see the necks to each other. And obviously, Michaels is like a foot taller than TJ.

Kelli (08:42.926)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Kelli (08:48.462)
You

Kelli (08:58.83)
Well, I mean last season apparently they did share a kiss and then TJ kind of blew it off and Michaels like felt a certain way about it. So I don't know maybe I Think it was TJ Because Michael was like Michaels was like we need to have a conversation about it

Wendy (09:10.51)
It was Michaels that blew it off, not TJ.

Wendy (09:20.194)
All right. So the theme for their trip is hoedown throwdown, and they're all driving down there together on the ride down there. It's funny. Julia tells TJ that she took pictures of him and Michael's making out, and she's giving him the timeline. And basically, that was like a full hour that those two were kissing, which I thought was interesting, right? And then TJ's like,

Kelli (09:41.698)
No.

Kelli (09:45.806)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (09:46.678)
I wonder what they're talking about in the other cars. And I don't know who asked, is it true that BBL smell bad? Was that Mia?

Kelli (09:54.841)
I think it was Mia. Somebody asked in that car, who was in that car? It was, wait, I thought.

Wendy (09:59.276)
So was, Joe was driving and Maddie was in the front seat. Who was sitting behind Joe? Was it Mia? Because Joe said, they smell like ass is what he said. Maybe I'll smell bad. He's like, they smell like ass. Yes, exactly. Then back, no, I never heard that before. No, but I mean.

Kelli (10:07.436)
I think it was me, yeah.

Kelli (10:12.322)
Right, right. Checks out.

I never heard that before though, did you?

I never heard that either.

Wendy (10:27.974)
I mean, we don't know anyone who has a BBL, do we? No. So why would we hear that? Justin said, I don't know, I've drank my piss for money before too. And then TJ asks, if you've tasted your own cum. And then Julia asks TJ, have you? And he's like, yeah. I was like, my God, this car ride conversations. Then we go back to the other car.

Kelli (10:30.484)
No, I don't, no, I don't. Right.

Kelli (10:55.832)
Turns out they all have, by the way.

Wendy (10:58.266)
Yeah, yeah. Well, no, Brad said no. Brad said no. Brad did not admit to it. No, he he I don't I don't think I don't think he admitted to it. Emmy then says that she wants to, you know, pull Brad aside and have the conversation. And she's talking to Lake and like, yeah, do that as soon as possible. But she's kind of in this position where like she doesn't want to get into it with Emmy because she told Brad that she would not

Kelli (11:03.01)
I thought they called him out on it and then he kind of copped to it. No? Okay.

Wendy (11:28.024)
get into it and then Emmy's trying to drag her into it.

Kelli (11:32.706)
Yeah, I mean, Blake did say to Emmy, like when it comes to the microaggression, I understand how Brad feels, you know, but Emmy is kind of adamant that she didn't do anything wrong.

Wendy (11:38.582)
Right, yes, yes.

Wendy (11:43.692)
Right, right. She said like, listen, it sounds like, you know, she's like, at the end of the day, I did nothing. She's like, at this point, she's like saying it like, she literally sounded like a crazy person. She's like, I hadn't, like nothing I said had to do with skin color. And she's not understanding it.

Kelli (12:01.484)
I hope she can, no she's not, and I hope she can watch this back and see that it's not a good look. Like I hope she can watch this back and see what the microaggression actually was. I mean you said the word's unsafe. That's it, that's it right there, Emmy. You said the word unsafe, you said it about a black man, that's the microaggression. If that's all you have to understand, don't do it again. Do better, that's all.

Wendy (12:16.246)
Right. Right. Right.

Wendy (12:24.536)
Right.

Wendy (12:29.026)
Yeah, exactly. Yeah, no, that's it. I totally agree. I agree. So then they arrive at Edesto River, South Carolina, and it comes time to pick the rooms. I thought this was so funny. So Joe and Maddie are gonna share this one room, because it's got, I guess, the queen size bed. like, well, if you get that room, someone has to share with you. And Emmy's like, okay, I'll share with them. And Joe was like, wait, what?

Kelli (12:44.716)
Mm-hmm.

Kelli (12:53.012)
Hahaha!

Wendy (12:59.022)
And then Michael's like wants to share a room with TJ and they're like, you know, what's going on there? And he's like, basically, because I don't want to be with Lake. I want to be with TJ so that I don't have to share a room with Lake, which I think is really kind of shitty. Like, she should.

Kelli (13:15.643)
sure. Especially because she doesn't even know what's going on and she's your best friend.

Wendy (13:21.302)
Right.

Kelli (13:24.991)
He should just tell her what's going on.

Wendy (13:27.34)
He absolutely should because Lake says out loud like Michaels is ignoring her. I mean, she goes and asks him to take pictures and he's like, no. She doesn't know why you're icing her out. Like you have to tell her, grow up.

Kelli (13:40.707)
Right, you have to tell her. Exactly, grow up. This is not adult behavior. This is certainly not assistant manager of Republic behavior. Like I really hope Leva is paying attention to what's going on here. Because yes, this is a Bravo show, but this really is her business and these people really do work for her. This could affect her business.

Wendy (13:55.724)
Yeah.

Wendy (14:05.538)
Yeah, no, I agree. I agree. So then poor Lake goes outside and she's like sitting on the dock. You know, no one's taking pictures of her. And then, I love this part.

Kelli (14:17.762)
Well, did you catch when she asked, she asked Michaels to take pictures of her and he was like, no, go ask Emmy. So this is what's really going on. He's mad that she took Emmy side over Brad's. Like this is really what it's coming down to. Brad and, and Michaels are pissed at Lake because she's a woman of color and she didn't just automatically take Brad's side when asked that question.

Wendy (14:22.688)
And no. Right.

Wendy (14:45.474)
But I don't think Brad is pissed at Lake anymore because I think Brad and Lake made up. But Michaels is the one who's still holding it.

Kelli (14:49.76)
Right, but... Right. Yeah.

Wendy (14:53.762)
And Lake doesn't know that because she made up with Brad. And she had the conversation with Brad. And if Michael's had the conversation with Lake, it wouldn't be like this. Yeah. Then they're outside and they're trying, Maddie's like, why don't we do this this TikTok trend where like I start running and someone starts chasing me. So she starts running and then Joe starts chasing her. And I honestly, I love watching this. I thought it was hysterical. She's like,

Kelli (14:57.196)
I

Right. Right.

Kelli (15:20.514)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (15:21.862)
You know, she's like used to sprinting from the cops and she's like, they never ever caught me until the one time they did. And then I wound up in rehab. Boom. I was like, that is so funny. And Joe was like, Joe's like, nobody thinks like she's athletic, but she is so fast because he couldn't catch her. She is very fast. But I like that they were out there playing around. Like I like when they're having fun. And that's one of the things I noted about this episode. Like even when they...

Kelli (15:28.899)
Ha

So funny.

Kelli (15:39.352)
She's very fast.

Wendy (15:51.608)
you know, they get to the beach, right? And they're, you know, they're doing the cornhole and they're doing volleyball. Like, they're really having fun. Like, they really enjoy each other's company. They really have fun. They're really friends. The only one that is not having fun at this whole day is Lake. And it is sad. It...

Kelli (15:56.952)
volleyball yeah

Kelli (16:07.106)
They're really friends.

Kelli (16:12.814)
And and Michael's because Michael's is bringing everyone down because he's talking to everyone else about Lake except Lake.

Wendy (16:17.164)
Yep.

Wendy (16:20.962)
Yep, yep. So then they get picked up, they're going to the lake, they get to the lake. Michaels is worried about the water hitting his derriere.

Kelli (16:32.492)
Well, how about the fact that there really were snakes and alligators in that water? And they're like, yeah, just stay in the middle. You couldn't pay me to get on those tubes, hell no. Uh-uh, I don't care if they're, just stay in the middle, stay in the middle, alligators can swim and so can snakes.

Wendy (16:36.803)
yeah.

So we're.

Wendy (16:49.998)
So we're not gonna be doing that trip. We're not gonna do that one. Maybe the Delaware? The Delaware River we can do. There's no alligators, but there could be snakes. Okay. All right. So I liked how they were, they're all in their tubes together and they're all like hooked up to each other and they're like in this round like ring. And Bella asks like, what's the oldest someone's hooked up with?

Kelli (16:51.978)
No. No. I'll go tubing around here.

Yes, that I could do.

Wendy (17:17.302)
And Molly said, she had a few rumplements shots, it was during her rumplements phase, and he was 64. 64?

Kelli (17:27.566)
That blew me away. How old could she be? 24, if that? She's young.

Wendy (17:31.982)
That's what I'm... Listen, I've never been with someone who's 64.

Wendy (17:41.934)
And I'm 58. I mean, granted, my husband is gonna be 63. So next year I can say I've been with someone who's 64. We've been together 35 years, but still.

Kelli (17:55.981)
Wild! That was wild to me! my god!

Wendy (17:57.1)
Right? I know. was like, okay. I mean, maybe he was a hot 64 year old or maybe he was a really hot 64 year old. I don't know. I don't know.

Kelli (18:03.566)
I mean, there must have been a lot of rumplements involved.

Kelli (18:13.198)
I'm gonna have to really like go back in the files and think of anybody I know who was 60 who was really hot at 64 that in my 20s I would have been like, okay, I Don't think there were many

Wendy (18:23.406)
Yeah. All right. I mean, I did kind of have a crush on Phil Collins, but that was because I really liked his music. And he was really old back then. But he's Phil Collins. No, I mean, he probably was close to it. I feel like he was like, I feel like he was 64 when I was in my 20s. But he was Phil Collins.

Kelli (18:34.956)
Yeah. But he wasn't 64 when you were in your twenties!

Kelli (18:44.558)
No

Kelli (18:52.87)
I loved when Joe said that Luann made him eggs. We know it's Francaise, but the way she...

Wendy (19:00.184)
Frances, right. Right, Frances.

Kelli (19:04.098)
That was hysterical. That was so funny.

Wendy (19:08.426)
It was so funny. And Maddie said, listen, know, Joe told me he made out with her and I know that he was drinking. And, you know, if he had whiskey dick, he wasn't getting it up. And I was like, that's, I'm sure that's what happened. Right, the dick does not work. And, you know, Joe's like, listen, I did sleep over. I believe Joe, to be quite honest with you. I mean, he's admitting to sleeping over. He's admitting to making out. Like, if he,

Kelli (19:24.536)
The dick don't work. Yep, she said the dick don't work.

Kelli (19:33.44)
I do too. I do too.

Wendy (19:38.798)
Listen, he made out with her. Like, he would have gone all the way, because she would have. We know that. I like when he said, I saw this beautiful painting, and I said, and she said, oh yeah, my daughter painted that. And Joe's like, well, how old's your daughter? And she's like, 28. He goes, I was 28 at the time.

Kelli (19:58.307)
He's like, she home?

Wendy (20:05.134)
So then they get to the beach and I just said I loved how they were playing. Michael's and TJ are not playing and Molly's sitting next to them. And Molly says, know, Emmy's such a bitch, but you know what? She's got a great ass. TJ's like, well, yeah. She's like, honestly, every one of them. Are you kidding me?

Kelli (20:24.654)
She really does. You look good in that bathing suit.

I know. I know.

Wendy (20:32.034)
There was not a bad body in that bunch. Are you kidding me? There was not a bad ass in that bunch?

Kelli (20:34.882)
Now, I didn't look like that when I was in my late 20s. That's for sure.

Wendy (20:39.062)
No, I didn't look like that in my early 20s. I didn't look like that at 18. I mean, who are we kidding? Like, that was not my, I don't know. They, listen, Molly's like, no. I mean, you said when you were in the best shape of your life.

Kelli (20:44.256)
I know, I know. Fitness was never on my journey.

Kelli (20:54.188)
When I actually that you're absolutely right. When I started dating Eric, I was in the best shape of my life. I did. I was pretty close. I was in the gym five days a week.

Wendy (20:57.228)
You probably did. You probably did have that body. You probably did have that bikini body. I've never... Yup, you probably did have that. I never had a bikini body. Never did, never will. It's okay. I got what I got. Then Lake walks over and asks them, like, why aren't you playing? Michael says, I'm tired. And like, she walks away. He could have said right then and there. Like, that would have been his opportunity. Right?

Kelli (21:13.186)
Whatever.

Kelli (21:24.834)
Yep. Yep.

Wendy (21:27.97)
That's when he says, can't trust her. Lake is playing volleyball. And then all of a sudden, she sees what's happening. She's like, you know what? I'm done. can't play this game when I know something is going on.

Kelli (21:43.032)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (21:46.412)
by the way, I did write this down. So when she's talking about it her confessional, that purple outfit that she was wearing was stunning on her. She looks so good in purple. Her makeup, right? Like everything about that purple looked amazing on her.

Kelli (21:56.696)
she does.

Kelli (22:00.865)
Yes, I mean she's a beautiful girl. But yes, that purple looked very nice on her.

Wendy (22:03.67)
She is. I felt.

I felt bad when she called her mom and we know how close she is to her mom and her mom is like, why, you should shut your mouth. Why are you asking a white girl for advice on how to handle black people problems? I was like,

Kelli (22:21.994)
I could not believe her mother said that. You don't talk to white people about black people's business. That's the most fucked up thing I think I've ever heard a mother say to someone on Bravo and I have heard some effed up stuff. Your daughter is having a hard time. She's on a vacation with her friends.

Wendy (22:42.798)
I know.

Wendy (22:48.45)
Yep.

Kelli (22:49.588)
one of which is supposed to be her best friend, and he is deliberately, I'm sorry, I've never done this to anyone in my life. Michaels was deliberately making her feel horrible, going out of his way to do so, and she calls her mother and that's what her mother says to her?

Wendy (22:56.907)
No. No!

Wendy (23:02.272)
Mm-hmm. He was.

Wendy (23:11.468)
I know. I know. I felt the same way. I wrote down, feel bad for Lake because her mom is her safe place and her mom is ripping into her. And as a mother, and you too, as a mother, like, I've always said to my kids, I am here for you. Like, I have your side no matter what. No matter what. And I know, listen, it just, it broke my heart for her. I mean, there was ever a time.

Kelli (23:12.598)
I can't believe that.

Kelli (23:18.816)
Exactly.

Kelli (23:23.982)
Mm-hmm.

Kelli (23:32.622)
Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Kelli (23:40.142)
was a horrible thing to say. And what does that even mean? So if your daughter's best friend is white, she can't talk to her about some issue she's having with a coworker because she's black? I mean, what are we doing here?

Wendy (23:42.145)
It really was.

Wendy (23:58.114)
I mean, listen, I get that she was talking about it because the conversation was about microaggression and a white person, her mother feels is not gonna understand that. And honestly, as a white person, we're not gonna understand it the same as a black person would, right? We're not, we're not. But that's who she had there with her, right? And when she's calling you her mom, she just wants you to be there and support her, not rip into her. She had nobody there that was there supporting her.

Kelli (24:10.936)
Sure, sure.

Kelli (24:16.024)
Right!

Wendy (24:25.826)
That's why she made that phone call. She needed you. Honestly, it just broke my heart. It broke my heart for her. And then I feel like the girls kind of see, like Maddie comes over to her and like they do see that she's really struggling. That part just honestly.

Kelli (24:40.974)
Mm-hmm.

Kelli (24:44.734)
I could not agree with you more. Even TJ said he feels bad for Lake because Michaels is talking about her with everyone else and not telling her what the issue is. Like I just, you know, and then he's talking about how he grew up in a house where they don't talk about things. I think Michaels is making a big mistake right now. I think he's going to lose a good friend. Lake is a nice, normal person.

Wendy (24:56.578)
Yeah.

Kelli (25:13.068)
And I'm sure she's a very, when you are friends with her, she's a very good friend. And I think Michael's, I don't know if he's doing this for the camera. I don't know what he's doing, but I think he's going to regret it because now you've done this. It's never going to be the same. Your friendship's never going to go back to what it was before.

Wendy (25:34.368)
I hope, I hope for their sake that the next episode, I don't know if I saw scenes, did you see scenes for the next episode? I hope the next episode, those two actually sit down and work this out because like you said, like he's young, Michael's is young, right? Lake is young. They live in Charleston, they are both black.

Bradley's, like they have a lot in common. Like they need to stick together, not be fighting over some stupid stuff. Like just have the conversation. Like have the conversation. Like you guys have been friends. Like just have the conversation and stop being immature. And Michaels doesn't have family support. Like he doesn't, he said that. Blake has, I mean, her father isn't supporting as much as her mother, but her father still loves her and her mother's...

Kelli (26:05.624)
Yeah, this is wild.

Kelli (26:16.268)
Right! Right!

Wendy (26:25.612)
you know, said when she was talking, you know, Michael's is, I'd rather talk to him, which again, I didn't love that either, but I don't know. Like, just make it right with Lake, please. Please make it right.

Kelli (26:38.346)
I think he's gonna regret this if he loses her as a friend because I think she's a very nice girl and why, I don't know. I can't wrap my head around why he's doing this.

Wendy (26:53.099)
No, I can't either.

Kelli (26:55.094)
I just don't think it's that, I just don't think it's, I don't think it's a good enough reason to deliberately make her feel uncomfortable on a group trip. Just have the conversation with her. If she's really your good friend, have the conversation with her. Because you're acting as if her friendship is disposable. And I don't think Leigh's the type of person that you want to dispose of a friendship so quickly.

Wendy (27:06.198)
No, no.

Wendy (27:18.57)
No, I don't either. And I also don't like that, like, why didn't Emmy see that this was happening? Like, where was Emmy when this was going on?

You know, like, why didn't Emmy go to her?

Kelli (27:30.082)
You know, it's a good point because clearly she's been a very good friend to Emmy and has supported her. yeah, that's good point.

Wendy (27:38.144)
Right. I mean, that's what got her in this trouble to begin with, right? Like, Emmy's the one who got her in this position that she's in.

Kelli (27:45.716)
I don't know if Emi's the type of person that sees past herself sometimes.

Wendy (27:50.422)
She's not, honestly, she's not. She's not. Emmy will never be as good a friend to Lake as Lake will be to Emmy. It's just a fact. I just think that's a fact. Just like Maddie and, you know, Maddie and Grace Lilly, because that did come up, that TJ went for a walk with Grace Lilly. And, you know, Maddie was firm with what she said, and I think she should be. I think the decision that she made was the decision, you know, I think she made the right decision, right, for herself.

Kelli (28:00.877)
Yep. Right.

Wendy (28:18.912)
Some people are just better friends than others. I think that, you know, think Emmy is a little bit more self-centered and she just doesn't, like you said, doesn't see past herself. Whereas Lake is very, I mean, as Bella said in the back seat, she's an empath, so she just feels everything. I mean, she does, she does, she does, you know, she's empathetic to many people. I see that in her. And I said last episode, like I saw a totally different side of Lake. I was not.

I didn't have an opinion about Lake last season so much. I do have an opinion this season and I really like Lake. want her to be happy. I want her to thrive in this group, right?

Kelli (28:55.202)
Yeah, me too.

Kelli (28:59.96)
You know, I think last year that Molly and Lake kind of jumped on the whole Will takedown bandwagon a little bit too much. And I think that, you know, listen, you don't have to like Emmy clearly she's got a lot of room for improvement, but I don't like what they did to her last year with the whole Will thing. I really don't.

Wendy (29:07.168)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Wendy (29:22.728)
No, no, don't either, but I didn't like Will either, so I mean, think Will had his own part in that whole situation, which is why he's not there this year.

Wendy (29:35.232)
So we'll have to wait and see what happens next week, but that's my thoughts on the whole thing.

Kelli (29:40.611)
Yeah, yeah, just, really honestly couldn't believe her mother said that to her. I thought that was really shitty. I don't know. I mean, I'm not mother of the year, but if my daughter calls me and, you know, distraught like that, telling me that her friend, you know, me, I'd fucking get in the car and drive there and I probably would have kicked Michael's ass by now.

Wendy (29:45.399)
No, I couldn't either.

Wendy (30:01.271)
I know. You'd be... yeah.

Kelli (30:11.182)
But that's just me.

Wendy (30:12.942)
And I will just be there coddling. I'm the coddler. I just like to coddle. I'm not throwing down. But I will coddle the crap out of you. And Kelly will kick... Right, and Kelly will kick the ass out of you.

Kelli (30:17.366)
No.

Kelli (30:24.544)
Equally as effective.

Kelli (30:33.258)
Every time something comes up on Instagram where it's like, my mother remembers what you said to me in middle school and she still hates you. Like I always send that shit to tests. With the names of the people I still hold a grudge against. And their addresses, no I'm only kidding. What kind of car they drive?

Wendy (30:39.276)
Yep. yes. That's so funny. Maybe a little bit. All right. Anything else?

Kelli (30:57.518)
Hmm

No, I don't think so. I think we covered it.

Wendy (31:02.56)
I think we did too. So actually this is, we're recording this on Good Friday. So we would like to wish everybody, it's Passover, everyone a happy Passover who celebrates and happy Easter to all of our friends who celebrate Easter and whatever other holidays going on, I'm not really sure. And thank you for watching and listening. Please subscribe and give us five star reviews. Bye.

Kelli (31:12.418)
Yep. Happy Passover.

Kelli (31:27.374)
Bye.
