🍷 RHONY S16 E3: Passover, Ponzi Schemes & Pickleball

RHONY Season 16, Episode 3 — “A Seder in Brooklyn” is packed with revelations, grudges, and plenty of Housewives shade. Hailey opens up about the tabloid scandal surrounding her relationship with John Gosselin when she was just 22, explaining how the experience changed the course of her life and ultimately led her to husband Reuben. Meanwhile, Carole revisits painful memories surrounding Caroline Bessette and her book, while Daisy admits that her marriage has its ups and downs — including her and Eugene threatening to look for other options whenever they fight.

Jessel and Erin continue their escalating feud, with Jessel accusing Erin of running a smear campaign against her. Their sit-down quickly turns into a battle of insults, including Jessel calling Erin a “one-man Ponzi scheme,” “bootleg Houdini,” and accusing her of thinking she’s Zendaya when she’s actually Blossom. Jessel also brings up Erin’s own legal troubles, making this one of the messiest confrontations of the season.

Then there’s Erika, who gives viewers a peek into her extremely wealthy life with her billionaire husband, their luxury properties, private chef, and plans to start a family using a surrogate.

The episode culminates at Daisy’s Brooklyn Seder, where Passover 101 is apparently required, Jessel arrives two hours late, Hailey grades Erin’s Seder a C-minus, and Erin gives Hailey a jam-of-the-month subscription while reminding her that she’d rather be “boring” than break up the marriage of a man with eight children. And just like that, the Hailey vs. Erin war is officially ON.

Wendy (00:01.17)
Hi, welcome to We Wine Whenever. I'm Wendy.

Lori (00:05.282)
And I'm Lori.

Wendy (00:07.608)
And Kelly is at a work function this evening, so she will not be recording with us. And this is my first time recording since I've been away, so I just wanted to address where I was and what was going on. So my mother lives in Florida, Naples, Florida, and I received a phone call from my sister that she was really sick.

So I immediately went down to Florida and once I got down there I realized the severity of the situation and how sick she really was. And I decided at that point I was gonna stay there and till she no longer needed me. So that is what I did. I stayed there. I was down there for about seven weeks taking care of my mom. And unfortunately she did pass away on September 14th, but I was there with her holding her hand and

The seven weeks that I spent with her were an absolute blessing that we got to be together. You know, she was not in any pain. yeah, it just was a a time that I'm so grateful for that I was able to do. I was able to leave my job, they were able to, you know, understand and allow me to take the time that I needed to be there with my mom.

Lori (01:10.358)
Beautiful.

Wendy (01:27.864)
So that's where I was. I missed you all terribly. I missed podcasting. I didn't even really get a chance to watch the shows while I was away. So when I got back to New Jersey, because I was in Florida for a long time, I did start catching up. And New York is my first one and I'm so excited to be back and give you my takes on Housewives again.

Lori (01:51.266)
Well, we're very excited to have you home.

Wendy (01:54.407)
Thank you. Thank you so much. So we are talking about Real Housewives of New York, season sixteen, episode number three, Seder in Brooklyn. Have you ever been to a Seder, Lori?

Lori (02:08.526)
I have not. Actually, wait, let me think. Have I? I might have been I think I was, yes. Because my church is a Lutheran church, but we have in our town there was a synagogue, a Jewish synagogue, and they had solder building and in the interim they used our building on Saturdays.

So we did have a thing with them where they introduced us to Seder. So yes, I have been to one. Yeah, and that was interesting.

Wendy (02:40.69)
Okay, okay. I have never yeah, I have never been to a Seder. we'll get to that 'cause that's towards the end, but I just was wondering had you ever done that. we we start out with the pickleball scene. It's so funny how pickleball is like the thing. And while I was down in Florida, like pickleball is all the rage down there. I mean granted it's always warm and always sunny, but the number of people that play this sport, it just blows my mind to be quite honest with you.

Lori (02:51.16)
Yeah.

Lori (03:10.082)
Yeah, it's crazy.

Wendy (03:12.414)
we find out that Haley's been playing tennis her whole life. She actually even got a scholarship for college to play tennis, which that tells me she was very good. But unfortunately her love of weed got her arrested and then the scholarship was rescinded, so she did not end up finishing her college career.

Lori (03:21.655)
Yeah.

Lori (03:36.727)
Yeah, so she started actually playing at a young age at the country club. so it was in two thousand and five at Indiana University. She got busted with two bags of weed in her pocketbook and she was eighteen years old. So those charges got dismissed and then later on she also received a citation for illegal consumption of alcohol at the university in two thousand seven.

Wendy (03:41.414)
Yeah.

Lori (04:05.974)
And then in two thousand nine, when she was twenty two, I've I got her whole record. sh yeah. She had a dispute with John Gosling, who was then thirty two, outside his New York apartment and he was accusing her of burglary, but her attorneys maintained that she was just removing her belongings.

Wendy (04:13.118)
you sure do.

Lori (04:31.018)
And sh she said in her confessional, the only thing she regrets to this day is her eyebrows and her mugshot.

Wendy (04:37.038)
yes, I di yes. That was kinda funny. I was like, Okay. She owns it. Like she owns it.

Lori (04:40.736)
Yeah. Yeah. So I think the deal with her is I think she was kind of a rich kid, went away to college, maybe started dealing a little weed, blah blah blah, got busted drinking some alcohol, blah blah blah. I don't think that any of those were things that led to her

Lori (05:07.022)
advid use of marijuana, but I think her being twenty two, him being thirty two, the paparazzi, the trying to please her parents, the whole th I think she just kinda spiraled and now that her weed is her coping mechanism.

Wendy (05:27.216)
Yeah, she definitely makes it very clear by watching her, and it's only the third episode that she is high a lot of the times. And I agree with you that that's become her coping mechanism. And I'm not one to judge anyone, especially someone who did something in their youth, you know, in their tw eighteen, twenty, twenty two years old. That being said, this is twenty years later that her incident happened with John Gosselin.

Lori (05:39.746)
Mm-hmm.

Lori (05:56.878)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (05:57.049)
And there comes a point in time where I think that you maybe need to own it and either like I don't know, I feel like she's not doing anything about it. I feel like she's just accepted that this is this is where she's at. I mean I I also think that this whole lavender marriage thing,

Again, it's it's weird for me to watch this because I happened to listen to the Kim D podcast and Kim D is very good friends with Haley's parents, her mom and her dad. And she tells a totally different story. And it it's hard for me to believe Haley's story because of my experience with Kim D when she tells us what's going on with New Jersey, she's

Lori (06:32.864)
Right.

Lori (06:37.912)
Jory, right.

Wendy (06:49.936)
hundred percent spot on. And I feel like it's the same situation here. So Haley's telling us one story and Kim D is telling us another story. And I it's I I don't I don't know how I don't know how to I don't know how to deal with her. I feel like she's right. I feel like she's kind of pulling the wool over our eyes and I don't really like that. I mean, yes, she dated him. He was ten years older, but

Lori (06:51.969)
Right.

Lori (07:07.362)
Right. How to navigate it. Right.

Wendy (07:20.38)
Her mother didn't force her to date him. I mean, that's crazy, you know? It's just crazy. I don't think her mother forced her to marry Ruben. I mean, I I don't know. The little we've seen of her mother on the show, we s saw her little tap dance video, we saw her little FaceTime with her mother. Her mother does not ver seem like a very intimidating person, to be quite honest with you. Like she seems like she's a lot of fun. I don't know.

Lori (07:24.94)
Right, right.

Lori (07:47.564)
Yeah. Yeah, I don't know either. But Haley's definitely going hard for Erin, calling her a snake and a flip flopper.

Wendy (07:56.573)
Why do you think that is? Why do you think she's going so hard for Erin?

Lori (08:01.698)
You know why? Because I think that she just sees her exactly for who she is. Cause I think Erin is kind of snaky and flip floppy. I I wouldn't trust her to be my friend or coworker in in a New York heartbeat. I'm not a fan. I'm not a fan at all of her. I'm not a fan of her and I'm certainly not a fan of Jessel.

Wendy (08:08.722)
That could be.

Yeah.

Wendy (08:19.014)
Yeah, I agree with that. I don't trust Aaron either.

Lori (08:29.229)
Definitely not.

Wendy (08:29.626)
I'm still I'm still on the fence about Jessel. next thing we see is Carol is with Daisy and they're Carol's complaining about the cost of gas.

Lake, listen, we all know the cost of gas is an issue. We're right there with you, Carol. We're all complaining about the cost of gas.

Lori (08:48.532)
crazy. Yeah, how about Haley when she was talking about her marriage to Ruben? She said they knew each other since they were twelve and she says the reason why she got married to him was she wanted to be safe and

Wendy (08:56.402)
Mm.

Right.

Lori (09:08.662)
I don't know. And if she's Yeah, she says Yeah, she said if you could rewind your whole life and pinpoint that one moment where a piece of you died and there was no funeral for you and she said like that whole thing that whole thing with John and I think even marrying Reuben ruined her life. She said that the tabloids Yeah.

Wendy (09:10.012)
She said she regrets it. She regrets being safe.

Wendy (09:31.194)
Yeah, but she can change those things. She can change those things. Like so get divorced. Like I you know, I'm sure Ruben wouldn't have a problem with it. Like get divorced.

Lori (09:37.612)
Right, right.

Yeah, go do something. Yeah. And she said the tabloids went to the bars around her university offering like a hundred dollars for a juicy story about her. And she said her and John broke up because of all the media. So I don't know.

Wendy (09:43.548)
Right.

Wendy (10:00.357)
Well listen, I mean he was in a situation where, you know, he was in a no one situation. He had a wife that had eight children that was miserable. We saw that all play out on T V. she was very overbearing and anybody he was gonna date was gonna be a problem. He just happened to choose somebody that was ten years younger and didn't have a lot of life experience.

Lori (10:25.539)
Right.

Wendy (10:28.39)
I don't know.

Lori (10:29.678)
I don't know.

Wendy (10:30.918)
I don't like I said, I'm having a hard time with Haley. I don't I don't really want to give an opinion because I don't believe really what she's saying yet. So I'm just kinda neutral on her right now because I don't I don't believe her. there is something about Daisy though. I don't I don't know what it is. Something about Daisy I think is very interesting. I love the whole Martha Stewart connection.

Lori (10:39.469)
Mm-hmm.

Lori (10:45.229)
Yeah.

Lori (10:59.182)
Mm.

Wendy (11:00.036)
I love that, you know, you sh you know, she's like her personal makeup artist, which is amazing. and it's very interesting after watching this show how many people actually know Martha Stewart and how they all met through Martha Stewart. I feel like she's connection, right? Like I feel like Martha Stewart really should be on the cast at this point. And I would be so here for it.

Lori (11:18.693)
yeah, there's a big Martha Stewart connection. Big, yeah, yeah.

Lori (11:27.262)
Mm-hmm. yeah, that would be great. Yeah. Yes. So when Carol meets Daisy and they're in the park having coffee, and Carol starts talking about, you know, her friendship with Caroline. And she said that, you know, in her book she talks about her friendship with Caroline and she holds that close and doesn't really talk about it. But I'm like

Wendy (11:29.254)
I would be so here for it, right?

Wendy (11:54.066)
You wrote a book about it.

Lori (11:54.617)
But you r you wrote a yeah, you wrote a book and now you're on a t T V show and that's a huge part of like your story, so I don't really know what you're talking about.

Wendy (12:07.546)
Yeah, I that's another thing. Like I don't know I don't listen, Bravo is Bravo. I'm not sure if they brought Carol on because of this Carolyn Bissette, J F K Junior connection or the Epstein connection, to be quite honest with you.

Lori (12:25.1)
Yeah, s somet definitely something.

Wendy (12:28.048)
They definitely had ulterior motives when they bought ca when they brought her back.

Lori (12:31.166)
most definitely. Yeah. So Carol says that love story is everybody's it was like America's love story, but for her it's the American horror story.

Wendy (12:46.321)
Right.

Did you watch it? I did not watch it on Netflix. I know it's

Lori (12:50.528)
I did not watch it. I think I would like to read her book though.

I'd like to read her book. See what that's all about.

Wendy (12:58.492)
I mean, the fact that she wrote this book twenty years ago and the the movie comes out and now she's back on the New York Times bestseller, like that's great. Like she should be embracing that. She should, you know, be talking about it. And I get it was her best friend and and her husband's cousin, but still, like, you can tell the stories that you had with your experience. Right. Like go out there.

Lori (13:05.73)
That's wild.

Yeah.

Lori (13:20.694)
Other people can't, right. Right, right. You can you can right, you can color us in the Caroline that you knew. And that's that's where that's what I would think she would want to be doing because she has the platform to do it, so why wouldn't you wanna like introduct introduce us to your Caroline?

Wendy (13:31.045)
Right.

Wendy (13:44.945)
Right, exactly. I I totally agree. Yeah, that's I totally agree with you. and Carol brings up, you know, Jessel and how insensitive she was, you know, about bringing up the the the curse of the Kennedys and you know the the Carolyn Bassett summer and all the things that she was bringing up. And Jessel did address it on Watch What Happens live, and she admits that, you know, she was

Lori (13:46.476)
Right?

Wendy (14:12.292)
insensitive, she wasn't really thinking, she was coming at it from. She had just had a a a fashion meeting and that's one of the things they were talking about. That being said, I I'm sure the producers were telling her to ask these questions too. You know, like so like we know how it works. You know, Jessel just took the bait. That's all. She took the bait.

Lori (14:25.735)
yeah. yeah.

Lori (14:32.746)
Yeah. Yeah. But she is very tone deaf.

Wendy (14:36.518)
Jessel definitely is very tone deaf.

Lori (14:38.892)
very tone death. And you know, there's a way

There's a way to weave it into the conversation and have it be something that's more of a compliment to Caroline as opposed to being introducing it as something like flippant, like just this trend and ugh. There's ways to you know what I mean? So she's just

Wendy (15:03.024)
Right. Yeah, yeah. No, I agree with you. You know, she could have said how much she loved her style and admired it. It was this basic classic look. Like there's something she could have said that made it right, not sound right. Right.

Lori (15:11.916)
Right something right something so easy right so horrible right

And then Daisy and then Daisy bringing up her tutor. I'm like, girl, you should you should you should be wanting us to forget about your tutor.

Wendy (15:22.036)
Wendy (15:32.314)
I know, I know. I know. I agree. Like the fact that she keeps bringing it up, I mean, I don't think I listen, I don't think Jessel was wrong in what she said about the whole Tudor situation. And the fact that Da Daisy keeps bringing it up means that she doesn't think that she's doing anything wrong.

Lori (15:44.354)
Yeah.

Lori (15:50.317)
Yeah, she says, you know, I'm not walking around a thong thong, I'm wearing a moo moo. Yeah, but you're letting him think that it's okay. That's what you're doing.

Wendy (16:00.467)
Right. And also she said like, you know, they've been married for ten years and, you know, she's she's attracted to him, but sometimes like she doesn't even want to look at him and when they fight, you know, she goes he goes on Craigslist to find an apartment and she goes on Rayah. Okay, well what does that tell you?

Lori (16:16.716)
Yeah, that's not that's not what you do if you're yeah, that yeah, I don't know what's going on with them, but I can tell you this, I don't think it's good. I don't think it's good.

Wendy (16:27.908)
No, I mean I really would love to know more about this whole rent control apartment. I am so intrigued about this. I would love to know how much the rent actually is 'cause this is like a lure in New York City that these rent control apart I mean, this one looks nice. No, I know. You know someone who has one?

Lori (16:42.643)
no my f no my friend my my daughter's friend has one in on the upper east side.

Wendy (16:51.998)
it's on the upper east side. Nice.

Lori (16:53.774)
Yes, and she has a rent control department. Mm-hmm. Yes, she does. Yes, she does. No.

Wendy (16:58.566)
Yeah, no, you never give that up. You never ever give that up. And I totally get that. I just wanted to know where hers was. H what I guess it has two bedrooms, a two bedroom apartment in Manhattan. I mean, that's insane. I I wanna know more about it. I really do. I do.

Lori (17:10.946)
That's insane. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then Daisy says she's not confrontational. you know, says it's it's crazy but it's flattering in Carol's face. She was just like And Carol tells her, You need to tell your husband.

Wendy (17:28.752)
Yeah, absolutely.

You can see too when they interact. The the short amount of time we've seen Daisy interact with her husband, you can see that there's not there's no warm and fuzzy going on there. It's very transactional.

Lori (17:40.898)
Yeah, there's not a lot of no, it's like no, there's like two ships passing in the night kind of a gig. I mean, they they got a they got a very messed up relationship, as far as I'm concerned.

Wendy (17:47.226)
Yes. Yeah.

Wendy (17:54.769)
No, I I agree with that. then we see we're at Daisy's apartment and Erica and Jessel come over and Jessel immediately mentions the popcorn ceilings.

Lori (18:07.052)
That's but that's so it's just so rude. She's just it's just

Wendy (18:09.511)
You're right.

Wendy (18:13.466)
It is rude. It is. It really is.

Lori (18:18.872)
She's so pretentious, she needs to stop.

Wendy (18:26.256)
Yeah. I mean the fact that he's been there for twenty one years amazing.

Lori (18:29.858)
Yeah. And Daisy asks Jessel if she's ever been in an apartment with popcorn ceilings and Jessel says, Yeah, maybe once in the eighties. she's so pretentious. And then asked them if they own do you own this?

And she doesn't even get the flex of the rent control department. Like that's a that's a flex. Like you're lucky enough to have that. Yeah, you pay that rent. No problem.

Wendy (18:51.621)
No, she doesn't.

Wendy (18:58.938)
Like Daisy said, her rent control her monthly rent is is probably less than Jessel's one visit to the dermatologist.

Lori (19:06.412)
Yeah, she says what you pay your doctor to laser your beard once a month. And I'm thinking to myself, Is she talking about like this beard or that beard?

Wendy (19:11.429)
Yeah.

Wendy (19:18.546)
Yeah, but I thought once you laser it, it's gone. You have to keep doing it.

Lori (19:21.972)
No well sometimes you have to go for like maintenance, yeah. But I was thinking I was wondering if she was talking about like her judge or like her fate. I didn't know. I was like, ooh.

Wendy (19:30.874)
I think I think she was probably talking about her face. I that's just my guess. Especially since she's a makeup artist, like those are things that she would notice, right?

Lori (19:33.922)
They're faced.

Lori (19:37.704)
yeah, maybe, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Mm hmm. Yeah, so Daisy says she only sees Eugene for one hour a day.

Wendy (19:46.97)
Yeah. And he's a hairstylist.

Wendy (19:53.285)
I don't know. I I think that that may be a lavender marriage also. Just saying that. I don't know because ha how is that how is that possible? Like he's trying to make plans with her. I I don't know. It just doesn't seem like there's chemistry there.

Lori (20:07.362)
Yeah, it's yeah, it's and the math is not mathing, it's just and Jessel certainly is kinda like insinuating in her confessional about Daisy's husband and his private clients till ten o'clock.

Wendy (20:25.094)
And that's not cool either, especially when we see what's going on with Jessel and Povit, because I don't think Povit's on the up and up either.

Lori (20:26.946)
That's what I'm saying.

Lori (20:33.932)
Yeah, that's and and after Jessa went through everybody coming for her past two seasons, you think you'd not do that to somebody else. So I I don't know.

Wendy (20:44.124)
Right.

Wendy (20:49.774)
then Jessel finds out about Erin's Hampton house 'cause I guess she didn't know about that. And her first reaction was, do you think this is some kind of like insurance fraud thing?

Lori (21:06.754)
Listen who's gonna go burst their own pipe? It it's that's not something it's just such a dumb dumb thing to say. Like the so so you're gonna say she went to her Hamptons house, cut a hole in the sheetrock, busted her own pipe, and left and let the water run all through her. Like they does it like girl, you know you don't even make it sense. You don't even make it sense.

Wendy (21:19.226)
I know.

Wendy (21:37.136)
I know. She does it and you like you said, she's very tone deaf. Like she obviously she heard the the story second hand, right? So she d didn't see what we saw, so she had no idea really to the extent of it. But the fact that that's the first thing that would come out of her mouth.

Lori (21:45.387)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (21:54.341)
I don't know. I mean, Jessel this season lo we've you know, she lost her father last year suddenly. Erin lost her father last year suddenly. You think that those two would have at least kind of bonded over that plus only three of them came back.

Lori (22:08.706)
Well they said they did for Right. They said they did for a little while and then I don't know. She said j she would see Jessel and ask Jess how she was and she'd say like okay that but it was just nonsense. Nonsense.

Wendy (22:25.244)
Well, it it didn't make it toward when they started filming because I haven't seen them at all bonding because

Lori (22:28.266)
No, no, no, no.

Lori (22:37.986)
And then Daisy says she wants to host Passover this year at her parents in Brooklyn.

Wendy (22:43.462)
the Seder. I expected her mother to be there. I didn't realize that her mother was going to be in Florida.

Lori (22:48.951)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (22:51.206)
Did you realize her mom was gonna be in Florida when she invited everyone there?

Lori (22:51.704)
So no, no, no, no. Mm no. And then Jessel asks Daisy about the meaning of the Seder and Daisy says, Don't ask me I'm the worst Jew.

Lori (23:12.75)
Wendy (23:14.458)
I know. What about Haley talking to her mom and her telling her that her therapist told her to join a queer bird watching group?

Lori (23:24.92)
Yeah, that was just some kooky ass shit. That's all that was. That was just some kooky shit. Some kooky, kooky shit. And I was like, okay, just whatever.

Wendy (23:27.858)
I'm like, okay.

Lori (23:37.294)
And then

Wendy (23:38.767)
Next we see Erica's house, a little bit at Erica's house. her husband is a billionaire. First of all, Erica is thirty-five years she's only thirty five years old. Her husband looks also very young. I didn't look I didn't look how old he is. But I think they are the cutest couple. I think that I I love how they met. You know, she said he came to her boxing class and

Lori (23:54.747)
no, I didn't look how old he was either.

Lori (24:00.397)
You're cute.

Wendy (24:05.892)
She thought his name was Anchor and she kept calling him Anchor instead of Encore. And he never corrected her. And I just think those two, as crazy rich as they are, are so real and down to earth.

Lori (24:09.684)
Mm-hmm.

Lori (24:21.858)
Yeah, very down to earth, right?

Wendy (24:24.708)
I d I really, really like her. I really like her. Like she is honestly, she's my favorite one so far. She really is my favorite one on this cast. and she talks about like they got married in Egypt, at the base of the pyramids. She owns all this r you know, they own all this property private Right. Like, yeah. Like crazy. Like she is yeah. But you don't if she didn't tell us that

Lori (24:28.322)
Yeah, I like her too.

Lori (24:43.352)
Private Island and the BVI. Come on.

Lori (24:50.414)
Righty.

Lori (24:54.828)
You would never know. Right. You would know. You would never know. No. So now, how about back at the apartment with Daisy and Jessel? Jessel asked Daisy and Aaron what they were talking about at the end of the lunch. And Daisy says, we were talking about the dermatologist. And then Jessel says, Well, there's other things that she needs to worry about besides me and she brings up how Aaron didn't pay forty three thousand dollars in rent.

Wendy (24:55.034)
And we just you would never know it. No, you would never know it.

Lori (25:24.206)
Claiming she had a rodent problem, didn't pay her management company ninety K and a judge had to get involved to enforce payment with interest. And then that's when they talk about the Hamptons with the insurance thing. So I was like, whoa.

Wendy (25:42.352)
Yeah, Jessel's being messy. She's being messy.

Lori (25:44.728)
Very massive.

Lori (25:51.961)
and that yeah, she met she met her husband, Erica, when she when he took the boxing class. So it's nice they didn't meet at like some bougie event or something, just at a plain old yeah. Yeah.

Wendy (25:57.147)
Yeah.

Wendy (26:02.148)
No, no. That's what I that's exactly what I loved about it. Like that you know, she and she even s like she said, like I said, I kept calling him anchor. It'd be like my name was sh I don't even remember what the name was, and you were calling me some com some completely different name for two months. I think that's great.

Lori (26:13.718)
Which you said, yeah.

Lori (26:17.942)
Right. Yeah.

So then we find out Erica cannot carry her own children.

Wendy (26:26.703)
yes, yes.

Lori (26:28.218)
Mm-hmm. That she has some gross on her liver that grow with estrogen. So the doctor told her that she suggests that she doesn't carry her own children, so they're gonna get a surrogate.

Wendy (26:44.688)
Yeah, and lucky for them that they are able to afford that, you know.

Lori (26:48.992)
Absolutely. And lucky for them that she has some eggs and he has some sperm because there's people who, you know, have to do all kinds of stuff that, you know.

Yeah, so.

Lori (27:07.426)
And how about when Daisy has to call Martha Stewart about her potato starch? Isn't that great? Yeah. Speed dial, yeah. And she says that Martha was the original influencer and she's kinda right.

Wendy (27:07.91)
Wendy (27:13.289)
my God, that was so funny. I mean, w how great is that though? You have Martha Stewart on s you know

Wendy (27:24.22)
She is right. She really is. Listen, I always liked Martha Stewart, but when her and Snoop started hanging, I was like, she's just the real deal. I mean, she is the real deal. The whole thing where she, you know, went to prison, that was all bullshit. That was just all bullshit. So many people have done what she did and never went to prison. But she did it, she did her time, and she came back better than ever. Did you ever watch her s her

Lori (27:33.528)
that was it. She's a real deal.

Lori (27:45.506)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Lori (27:50.402)
Than ever, yes.

Wendy (27:53.873)
documentary that was on I think it was on Netflix or Hulu that she originally she originally like greenlit it but then after it came out she like spoke horrible about it. I thought it was very good. I mean I I don't think she came off bad. I think that she's someone who has worked her ass off her whole life. the father of her daughter was, you know, not a good guy. Like she's always been a woman in a man's world, busting her ass.

Lori (27:57.464)
No, no, no.

Lori (28:13.838)
Mm.

Lori (28:21.794)
Right. That's NRS, yeah.

Wendy (28:23.034)
I mean, she was a model, like she's she's worked for everything she's ever done. And I ad actually I admire her a lot, to be quite honest with you.

Wendy (28:34.002)
So Jessel and Aaron meet up before the whole Brooklyn thing. And

Lori (28:44.332)
Mm-hmm. And we go through the whole dermatologist of it all. So dumb.

Wendy (28:50.544)
Yeah. I don't I don't understand why Erin is so stuck on the fact that she thinks that Jessel is a clout chaser. I don't honestly I don't get that about Jessel. I do b I agree with you. I think she is tone deaf, but I don't think she is a clout chaser. I don't see that.

Lori (29:08.222)
Think she's I think she's snobby though. I think she's snobby. I think that she I think that she does wanna rub elbows. I think that that's just part of her her persona. It's just

Wendy (29:13.478)
I mean

Lori (29:25.452)
I just think that's her.

And she should just lean into it and stop saying, No, that's not true because I think it is true. And she should just be like, Yeah. Like I like to hang out with influential wealthy pe like, just say that's what you wanna do.

Wendy (29:43.823)
Yeah, but just just because you like to hang out with people like that, I wouldn't say that that's clout chasing. I mean I I think I I would consider clout chasing is would be like if you are like like bad mouthing Erin to make yourself look better. Like I d like I would consider that clout chasing. I think that everything she said about Aaron is one true and she only says it 'cause Aaron has been coming for her.

Lori (30:12.43)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (30:14.576)
I think the two of them it's like a tit for tat kind of thing, and I don't I really I don't understand it.

Lori (30:18.606)
I think they're two sides of the same coin and that's the problem. I think they're way more alike than either one of them would ever want to admit. That's what I think the problem is.

Wendy (30:24.038)
Yeah.

Wendy (30:31.6)
That could that yeah, that's probably very true. That's probably very true. but that doesn't end well and Jessel winds up leaving. And Aaron's like, Well I guess I'll pay for her water. Okay, Aaron, she had hot water. She had hot water

Lori (30:44.492)
Yeah, okay. Cheapskate. I know.

Wendy (30:53.318)
What I did love is that when everyone showed up at Daisy's parents' house in Brooklyn

There was nothing fancy about that place. It was the average Brooklyn home and everyone that came in was happy to be there and didn't make any comments about the way it was decorated or anything about it. Like it was just a normal like we're meeting up with all these friends. And I like that. Of course Jessel had to make the comment when she was two hours late about going to Brooklyn, which again that was not necessary.

Lori (31:16.023)
Right.

Lori (31:29.172)
No, no, that's what I'm saying. Like don't act don't act like other people are beneath you 'cause they're not. You're not all that, Jessel. You're really not. I hate to tell ya.

Wendy (31:30.158)
No, that was not necessary.

Wendy (31:37.008)
Right. Right. No. No, you're not.

Lori (31:42.412)
And I don't know if you could if we go back to the lunch with Aaron and Jessel.

Lori (31:52.021)
Aaron s Jessel starts to say stuff to her about, well, you know, I would never align myself with someone like you. Have you Googled yourself recently, babe? And Aaron asked Jessel if she doesn't have anything embarrassing about herself on Google. And Jessel says, No. And Aaron says, Maybe it's just not out there yet. I was like,

Wendy (32:21.862)
Well, that's that's a lead up to what's coming up because I'm sure you saw in the coming attractions, Jessel is yelling about you put that information out there and I think it's relating to Povet and I don't know who. One of the ladies said, No, all of New York knows this information. This is information that's out there. So there's gotta be something out there about POVIT. Like that's what Aaron was alluding to. But I did not pick I didn't pick up that she said that.

Lori (32:39.118)
Mm-hmm.

Lori (32:45.25)
Yeah.

Lori (32:49.068)
Yeah. Yeah, she did say that. Yeah, so Daisy says that like every other Jew, in the winter her parents go to Boca. It's so true. So true. So true.

Wendy (33:02.362)
I love that. I s I so love that. I love that.

Lori (33:10.508)
And Carol has on her black dress and she says this is her religious look. And then Erica, girl, what were you doing? What were you thinking? Like to a hip cocktail bar. I I mean she's got the S, God bless her. Right. But you are a

Wendy (33:16.786)
my god.

Wendy (33:24.23)
Listen, like Carol said, if I had that ass, I'm sorry. I would do it too. Maybe not, but I would think I'd I know.

Lori (33:33.144)
But you are going to s to someone's home to a religious dinner. Like

So I just have a little information that I would like to give the audience, because we just take it for granted because of where we live, that maybe some people don't understand what a Seder is or Passover is. So a Seder is a home based ritual feast and it's celebrated on the first or second night of Passover. And Seder in Hebrew means order.

So there's fifteen steps to the evening and you're retelling the story of the Israelites escaping slavery in Egypt. And Passover celebrates the freedom from slavery when the Jews left Egypt and it lasts seven to eight days and they don't eat anything made with yeast. And this is supposed to symbolize them having to go across the desert and they you know, they can't make bread. They had to take, you know.

unleavened bread and also pass over the Jews in Egypt God knew that God was gonna send like seven plagues onto the people of Egypt. So they took the blood of newborn lambs and they put that on the lentil of their doorway, which is the opening of your doorway. And so then the plagues passed over them because they saw the blood and they

They didn't go to that house. So th they were passed over all the evil that befell the Egyptians from the wrath of God. So just now you know. Now you know.

Wendy (35:19.728)
Goodness. Thank you. I mean, Aaron didn't even know. And neither did Daisy. Like, thank you. Thank you for explaining it.

Lori (35:23.33)
That's what I'm saying.

Lori (35:27.436)
And and these are things that I knew as a Christian. I was like, why why don't you people know this? I don't understand. So.

Wendy (35:36.47)
thank you. Thank you for telling everybody because honestly I did not know that and like I said, neither did Daisy or Aaron and they are both Jewish.

Lori (35:46.935)
And and it's bizarre because Daisy's the one who's sitting there showing you all her like childhood pictures of all the satyrs and Passovers that her mother has had. So what are you telling me for like thirty something years you you didn't pay any attention? Like what are you doing? It's crazy.

Wendy (36:03.588)
Yeah, exactly, exactly. I know, I know. And even the fact that, you know, Erin is giving everybody like someone had blood, someone had whatever the things were, and then she doesn't even know the story. Like how wait, what?

Lori (36:13.666)
Yeah, right.

Lori (36:19.382)
Yeah, it's g it's I don't know. I don't I I'm I'm thinking her mother's probably horrified.

Wendy (36:22.16)
I also thought it was interesting definitely I mean definitely her mother's heart. I I also think it's interesting that Daisy shaded Sy for not bringing her a hostess gift.

Lori (36:28.247)
Like huh?

Wendy (36:36.166)
When Jessel showed up with the I know, but why did she have to single her out like that?

Lori (36:36.184)
Well, she should have.

Lori (36:43.714)
Maybe she's getting her back for tattling about the tutor.

Wendy (36:53.34)
So while they're doing this whole you know, we said Jessel showed up two hours late and she brings the the macarons and she says because I you know, I I they said that this is good because you can not have, you know, leaven bre you know leaven bread. So I was like, well at least she did some homework and when she explained that right, yeah, Daisy was like, okay.

Lori (37:10.156)
Right. Right. Right.

Lori (37:15.649)
Right, little something.

Wendy (37:24.13)
Aaron tells Haley that after she tries to do the whole f Seder thing that fails miserably, that she has a present for her. And she hands her jam and right, a subscription. And Haley's response is, This is actually a bougie jam. And Aaron says, Yeah, I'd rather be boring than break up a marriage of a man who has eight children. I'm like

Lori (37:38.614)
The jam of the month club.

Lori (37:51.759)
So this is my question. What difference does it make how many kids somebody has? So if I break up somebody's marriage and they have no kids, it's shitty. If I break up somebody's marriage and they have two kids, it's shitty. Shitty eight kids, it's like the number of kids really doesn't matter. And boring and your home wrecker, two totally different insults.

Wendy (37:53.767)
Yeah.

Wendy (38:12.272)
Is not relevant.

Wendy (38:19.772)
Different things.

Lori (38:20.748)
Two totally different levels and I'm thinking to myself, girl, I hope because I don't think Haley's a mess around girl. I I am hoping that she opens a can of whoop ass on her like nobody's business. And I don't know if you

Wendy (38:29.361)
no.

Wendy (38:37.498)
I'm so confused by the whole thing. Like what is their tension? Why does Haley feel so strongly about Aaron?

Lori (38:45.528)
Like I said, I just think that she just has Aaron's number. 'Cause I think Aaron's just messy and a mean girl. And I just I just think she just has her number. She's just like yeah, she's just like, no, not I'm not having it. And I don't know if you caught it, but you know, Aaron there was a flashback to where Aaron meet and Cy meet.

Wendy (38:56.786)
She's not putting up with it. She's not putting up with it.

Lori (39:13.622)
And Sy explains to Aaron that Haley called her vanilla and boring.

Wendy (39:18.768)
Yes, I saw that.

Lori (39:20.14)
But you know, Cy's messy because Cy wasn't she wasn't even there. She got that information second hand and is like pot stern. Pot stern.

Wendy (39:23.142)
Size definitely messy.

Wendy (39:32.411)
No, Cy is messy. Cy is definitely messy. Cause even when cause she was sitting next to Haley when Aaron handed her the jam and Cy was like nodding about like, you know, acknowledging it. The other thing is about Haley, I don't know if you remember this, but when it was first announced that Haley Glassman was going to be on this season, Evan Real and the guys from

Lori (39:42.648)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (40:01.488)
reality that we went to see, they they slammed her. They slammed Haley Glassman about what a horrible person she was, how she should not be on Ronie. The very next day, whichever one did it, I can't remember it was Evan or the other one, they he had to make a public apology. So in the New York City world, she has, because there they're New Yorkers, she has a reputation

Lori (40:02.871)
Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah.

Wendy (40:31.804)
for being messy and

I think that that may be one of the reasons that her and Erin kind you know, she said she said that she was a publicist, right? And she became a publicist because of all that was going on between her and John and everyone was y yeah, right. But really what Kim D was saying is that she was the one selling the stories about herself and that's how she was making the money.

Lori (40:50.54)
Yeah, like she does PR or something. Yeah.

Wendy (41:05.418)
So it's like there is something very shady about Haley Glassman. but listen, if she's coming for Aaron right now, I'm kind of here to watch it because like you, I'm not the biggest fan of Eren. And I I know that those reality tea guys would not have made this comment if there wasn't something to it, and they certainly wouldn't have r retracted it unless Bravo made them, because they get all the Bravo Lebs on there.

Lori (41:16.43)
Absolutely.

Lori (41:20.398)
Mm mm. I I never have been.

Lori (41:29.432)
To it, right.

Lori (41:35.532)
Yeah, yeah.

Wendy (41:35.748)
So th there's a reason that it was said and there was a reason it was retracted. 'Cause they want Bravo wants to paint Haley in a certain light.

Lori (41:40.982)
Retracted, yeah.

Lori (41:45.942)
Right. Yeah, it's interesting.

Wendy (41:47.898)
And maybe it's yeah, it is interesting. I I'm just curious to see how it all plays out.

Lori (41:52.502)
Yeah, yeah. But we shall see.

Wendy (41:57.618)
And we sh yeah, it says to be continued, so we'll have to wait until next week. But actually in the meantime, I forgot to do this in the beginning. If you could please head over to YouTube and hit subscribe if you've not done that already. Follow us on all the socials, tell your friends and comment. And thank you for everyone that sent me well wishes and that has already commented. we love you guys and thank you for watching. Bye.

Lori (42:02.018)
Yep.

Lori (42:21.698)
Yep. Bye.
