RHOC- Shannon v. Katie: The Final Gong

🎙️ Podcast Summary: RHOC S19 E3 – "Knee Deep in Lies"

This episode is packed with apology tours, legal threats, glam-fueled drama, and one seriously extravagant birthday bash.

We start off with Katie on her mission to earn trust—treating Gina to an expensive scalp cleanse in hopes of smoothing things over. Katie’s confessional confirms she’ll spend her way into favor if needed.

Meanwhile, Tamra gets confronted over her shady podcast comments about Slade and a funeral GoFundMe. Emily and Gina call her out, but Tamra remains unapologetic, insisting her intentions were good—though her delivery? Not so much.

Jenn, Heather, and Shannon discuss a mysterious audio recording from Alexis that implicates Jenn—except Jenn says she never heard it. Katie admits she shouldn’t have shared it in the first place, but the damage is done. Lines are being drawn—Heather makes it clear: she’s done with Katie, though Jenn points out Tamra’s equally toxic. Heather, however, refuses to hold Tamra accountable.

At a bowling night double date, Gina interrogates Shannon’s date Adam, while Travis jokes she’s acting like their dogs, sniffing everything too closely.

Katie’s home life softens the drama a bit—we see her sons bonding and her reflecting on difficult custody decisions.

Jenn deals with real family stress too—her son Dawson secretly enlists in the Marines and co-signs a massive USC student loan with his dad, leaving Jenn stunned.

Then comes Heather’s OTT birthday bash—complete with gongs, champagne fountains, caviar bumps, and haiku writers. Jenn arrives in glam, Ryan in sweats post-knee surgery, and Tamra refuses to attend due to legal advice.

The night turns explosive when Shannon and Katie have a final showdown. Shannon calls Katie “evil,” accuses her of illegal recording, and declares their friendship over. Katie owns up to it—but it’s far from enough. Shannon ends with a dramatic, “You’re worse than Tamra Judge and Alexis Bellino—we’re done.”

On Watch What Happens Live, viewers overwhelmingly side with Shannon. And despite the fancy scalp scrub, 76% say Katie’s not winning them over.

Wendy (00:01.536)
Welcome to We Wine Whenever, I'm Wendy. We are talking about Real Housewives of Orange County, Season 19, Episode Number 3, Knee Deep in Lies. I don't know if I like that one.

Kelli (00:03.649)
I'm Kelly.

Kelli (00:16.514)
Well, I mean, who are they talking about?

Wendy (00:19.136)
But what's the knee part? Like it's KNE. Like was there a knee situation that I missed?

Kelli (00:24.462)
Kelli (00:28.184)
That's a good question. Yeah, maybe we could figure it out.

Wendy (00:29.408)
All right, we'll get into it and we'll see. first, we get into it, I wrote down the taglines because the taglines came up.

Kelli (00:36.534)
So you were saying this, so this is episode three, this is the first time we're hearing their taglines? Why do you think that is?

Wendy (00:40.138)
Yep. Yes. I don't know. I don't know. thought, and you know what though? So I've noticed, I've been noticing they are changing like the way that they even shoot this. Like, you know, I guess, yeah, like the whole, like the, how they shoot it is different, I feel like. They're setups for each like individual cast members different. So.

Kelli (00:55.074)
Yeah, you mentioned that.

Wendy (01:08.244)
The taglines, they just came out. And I also, once the taglines came out, because last week I was looking for the picture behind me to include Gretchen, and I was like, no, they're not, I guess she's just a friend of, I thought she was coming on as a full-time, but she did not. And it's evident because she doesn't have a tagline. So the taglines are as follows. Jen's is, life can be hard, but so are my abs. Okay, I like that for her. Absolutely.

Kelli (01:33.986)
I mean, they are.

Wendy (01:37.413)
Shannon's is for once the only dogs in my life are golden retrievers. I like that one too.

Kelli (01:43.48)
I do, I do like it.

Wendy (01:45.344)
Emily's I don't like. Emily, I may not be your cup of tea, but I'll bring you an espresso martini. I don't know what that means.

Kelli (01:54.254)
I think I heard it on somebody else's part. Like maybe they were trying to rhyme it like T Martini, but it falls flat. It doesn't land.

Wendy (02:03.104)
No, but even, I remember she had one something about like tacos. Like her taglines are always food related and they don't make any sense to me.

Kelli (02:13.198)
I remember Melissa Gorga saying on an interview one time, they make you say like three or four taglines at the beginning of the year or throughout the year, I guess, maybe when you're doing your confessionals. And then however they edit it is what they wind up using. So I forget the one that she said she hated and she's like, of course they picked that one for me that season. I mean,

Emily probably gave them four and this was the one they chose for her. But you're right. They do always base hers around food, which is kind of insulting.

Wendy (02:41.44)
They pick.

Wendy (02:45.394)
Yeah. And I do, it's, yeah, it's a little messed up. Yeah. I do know that they don't get to pick them in, cause I, somebody else was talking about that. Like they, there's a couple of them, like you just said, but they don't even get to put those in there. Like those come from Bravo. So then Heather's is, I love life in the Hills. So I'll always take the high road. I don't like it. I don't agree.

Kelli (02:52.632)
Right.

Kelli (03:02.636)
Yes, yes.

Kelli (03:11.47)
I don't like Heather, so I'm not gonna like anything she says.

Wendy (03:14.88)
Gina's is, may work in real estate, but that doesn't mean I'm buying what you're selling. I do too. Katie's is horrible. I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but my truth. I mean, that makes no sense. It's a lie. Right. Tamara's is, I'm taking a hard look in the mirror and my reflection is still hot. Horrible. Horrible!

Kelli (03:19.608)
I actually like hers. Yeah.

Kelli (03:30.414)
Well, unfortunately, your truth is lies.

Kelli (03:43.862)
It's horrible because she's not reflecting on anything. She's not. She's the same horrible person she's always been. And Tamara, that's very subjective of you saying, I'm still hot.

Wendy (03:56.298)
And it's also so superficial. if you're taking a hard look in the mirror, it should be about your actions and your behavior, not your personal appearance. And that's all you see. And that is the problem with her, is that she is just a shallow personal appearance. That's all she cares about, is what she looks like. And it's ridiculous.

Kelli (03:58.454)
So superficial.

Kelli (04:16.074)
Yeah. So somebody commented and I didn't comment as we want whenever it was on my personal Facebook account, but somebody put up a post about like a poll. Like, do you think people should record their therapy sessions? And I actually said, no, I don't think, I don't think any reality TV person should be on camera in their therapy sessions. I don't personally think that any professional counselor or therapist should allow it.

Show your growth through your actions. Because obviously, Tamra, it's not, you know, your actions are not reflecting any growth in your therapy. It's just not.

Wendy (04:49.618)
I agree. I agree.

Wendy (05:01.756)
No, it's definitely not. honestly, mean, so anytime we've ever seen therapy on any of these reality shows, it's not really therapy. It's just one or two sentences so that we see that these people actually have a therapist and that they're meeting with someone. right. think, listen, if you're going to do it for context, maybe just put a disclaimer. Just put a disclaimer.

Kelli (05:11.341)
Right.

Kelli (05:18.286)
All right, on camera.

Kelli (05:28.312)
Yeah.

Wendy (05:29.524)
This is just for context, this is not a real therapy session. Although this is a real therapist. Do know what I'm saying?

Kelli (05:35.468)
Yeah, like we don't even know if these people are real therapists. And like I said, like I personally feel like any professional would not even allow it.

Wendy (05:46.686)
Well, you think about like Dr. Drew Pinsky, know, like he's like he's done this, like he's a professional and he does do this, but that's part of what he does, you know.

Kelli (05:57.996)
And he's on specific shows that are based on therapy or some kind of self-improvement.

Wendy (06:05.65)
Yeah, so maybe these therapists that are doing this on these reality TV shows, and I don't know, this is just me speculating, maybe they're doing this in hopes that maybe someday that they can be a TV personality therapist. You know? Yeah, yeah.

Kelli (06:19.438)
Of course, like Dr. know, yeah, yep, totally agree.

Wendy (06:25.76)
So we start out with Katie meeting with Gina at the the head spa so Yes, it is I've I Looked it up on Groupon. I think we should go. I think which it's not cheap. It's not cheap even on group

Kelli (06:31.822)
This is like a whole new thing, scalp treatments. It's like a whole new thing.

I mean, local salons are doing it. Like we have it at all dolled up.

Wendy (06:46.666)
But do you have that special rain shower thing?

Kelli (06:50.162)
No, no, but that's actually not like that's not specific to scalp treatments. Like that's like a whole new sync system for salons, which is very cool.

Wendy (06:59.04)
okay. So should we do it at all dolled up? Like.

Kelli (07:06.326)
I mean, we could, or we could do it, you know, we could, mean, are there specific places for that?

Wendy (07:09.876)
What was it? was it?

yeah, yeah, yeah. No, there's specific places that have the whole setup. Like, you know, like I said, I was looking at them through Groupon.

Kelli (07:16.684)
Okay.

Yeah, like this is like at all, it's like an add on to your actual service. Yeah.

Wendy (07:23.826)
Yeah. So listen, I think we should check that out. So Katie and her confessional says, you know, I'm going to do anything I can to get these girls on my side, even if it means paying for a very expensive scalp treatment that she needs. She had to throw in that she needs.

Kelli (07:39.576)
She did have to throw that in. Yeah, I noticed.

Wendy (07:42.016)
Not not nice not nice kitty

Kelli (07:44.906)
No, she says she's on an apology tour and she sure is.

Wendy (07:47.166)
Yep. And Gina did accept her apology, but she said, you know, trust is going to take a while, which I don't blame her, you know.

Kelli (07:55.438)
Gina, at this point, do you trust any of these women? Because I wouldn't. I think she trusts Emily, and honestly, I don't know if she should.

Wendy (07:59.304)
I think she trusts Emily.

Wendy (08:05.364)
Hmm. I don't think Emily would throw her under the bus.

Kelli (08:09.134)
Well, the thing is, is they're both on the same path. They both have the same goal, and that's to be in good graces with Heather and Tamara. I guess as long as they both have that goal.

Wendy (08:19.592)
It's interesting. I don't think Gina's so interested in Tamra so much as I definitely agree with you with Heather. I think her and Heather bonded from the very beginning with her New York connection because of where Heather grew up. I don't. What did you say?

Kelli (08:30.092)
Yeah. I remember how that upset Emily. Remember how much that upset Emily.

Wendy (08:37.394)
It did upset Emily, but also to remember as Emily started getting close to Tamar how much that upset Gina. So I don't think that Gina is that interested in the whole Tamar connection, to be honest with you. I don't, you know?

Kelli (08:50.798)
Unfortunately, I think at this point Heather and Tamar are a package deal. but yeah, we'll see.

Wendy (08:55.2)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (08:58.802)
Right? Yeah, we'll have to see. Then we see, Tamar goes over to Emily's house and Tamar plays the podcast where she talked about Slade's son and the funeral expenses. And she, they show you, she played that to Heather, Emily and Gina. They were all listening to it. I guess they were out someplace. And on the podcast, she said, I know that Slade lost his son and that's hard, but Michelle lost her son and she's lost everything. I know Gretchen just got a

big chunk of money so maybe she can donate that to the GoFundMe for his funeral expenses. Now, first of all, I don't remember any of that and that is the most horrific thing I've ever heard.

Kelli (09:37.474)
I don't remember it either.

Kelli (09:42.114)
I 100 % agree with you. First of all, she goes in and said that Gretchen looked like she was on Toddlers and Tiaras. She's still hotter than you, Tamara, just for the record, with her Toddlers and Tiaras hair. But that, you're absolutely right, that's horrific what she said. First of all, how do you know that Gretchen got a boatload of money?

Wendy (09:50.463)
Yeah.

Wendy (09:55.944)
Yeah.

Wendy (10:01.566)
And what was it for? Like, what was that about? What was that even about? I don't even know.

Kelli (10:03.886)
And yeah, like how do you know and who the F are you To say that if somebody said that about her could you imagine?

Wendy (10:11.082)
To say that. Right.

Wendy (10:18.368)
Yeah, no, can't. I can't. But I will give Emily kudos. In her confessional, she says the problem with Tamar isn't recognizing that she said anything wrong. It's her rationalizing why she did it.

Kelli (10:30.254)
Yeah, but does she say that to Tamra's face? She could say everything she wants in her confessional, say it to her face. If she's really your friend and you're not scared of her, you said you weren't scared of her, say it to her face.

Wendy (10:32.283)
No!

Wendy (10:41.364)
I mean, at least she said it in her confessional, which means Tamra will say it. And by the way, they are filming the after show now. So it wasn't on yet. Like we haven't seen any episodes yet, but I know for a fact that Tamra filmed it with Emily and Gina. And I know Shannon filmed it with, don't know who, because she alluded to it on Watch What Happens Live. So I think she might've filmed it with Heather, to be honest with you. So yeah.

Kelli (10:44.931)
Yeah.

Kelli (11:07.854)
That would be interesting.

Wendy (11:09.896)
it would be interesting. I think that maybe we can get some insight, you know, about things like this, you know? Tamar in her confessional said, we were trying to help the mom out with the funeral expenses. Again, her rationalizing why she did it. Like, and you know the interesting thing about it is, so on two Ts and a pod, I told you that Teddy was, you know, she had to stop the immunotherapy.

Kelli (11:18.414)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (11:38.368)
and there was an episode that Tamra did with their producer. I think his name is Matt. And Matt was trying to rationalize it too. Like, you know, we, you know, she was just covering and I was like, oh, okay, until I saw the episode and what was actually said, there is absolutely no way to rationalize it. There just is not. And to compare a comment that Gretchen made on your daughter's Facebook post,

Kelli (11:58.754)
Nope. Nope. Nope.

Wendy (12:07.902)
to it just it just it there really isn't there really isn't

Kelli (12:10.286)
There's no comparison. There's no comparison. And anyone who thinks so is out of their mind. Speaking of Teddy, I started listening to it. I did not finish. Tamara had Jasmine from the Valley on.

Wendy (12:24.459)
yeah, I did listen to that.

Kelli (12:26.094)
And Teddy was supposed to be there and couldn't because she wasn't feeling well. So I really hope she's okay, Teddy. She's in our prayer.

Wendy (12:30.13)
Yeah. So Teddy did put up a separate podcast with Matt, where she talks about really what's going on with her. I listened to that one. she has to stop the immunotherapy, but it's still in her system. So it's still going to be fighting, and it's something that her system can handle her stopping it, but it was making her too sick to continue it.

I guess the doctors are saying that she's got like a 50-50 chance of survival, which honestly with stage four, I think that's more than I expected, right? She's still at stage four and she's just very frustrated with her body because she was feeling so, she was, you know, she went through the surgery, she went through the chemo, the radiation, she was doing the immunotherapy and she was feeling good and she was able to go to Slade's things and she was able to do the podcast. And then all of a sudden it just like hit her like a ton of bricks. Like she,

Kelli (13:07.906)
Yeah.

Wendy (13:27.072)
did this glamour, which I haven't seen, I'm gonna look for it. She did this glamour, like interview and shoot with Kyle and a friend of theirs. And the day of the shoot, she called up Kyle and her friend and she's like, I just can't get in the car service today. I can't do this. Like, I just am that sick. And everyone after it aired or they saw it, they're like, oh my gosh, you look so great. You look so amazing. But she's like,

They said to her, you know, we can just cancel. She's like, no, no, no, I don't want to cancel. I may never, this glamour, I may never get this chance again, which I totally get, right? So she just wanted someone to come pick her up. So I guess somebody came to pick her up and she was able to get there and to do it. And they did her makeup and, you know, her hair's shaved, but she looked beautiful, supposedly. I mean, I'm sure she did, because she's beautiful, right? And she is just in a really...

Kelli (14:12.812)
Yeah, I'm sure she did. Yeah.

Wendy (14:20.058)
vulnerable place because of her health. And I can completely like understand what she's saying, you know, she's always been that person that just pushes through and just gets it done, whether she feels good or not. And now she can't do that. Her body won't allow her to do that. And in the meantime, in midst of all this going on, her house was broken into. Did you hear about this? my God. So this was all over the news. Her house was broken into. So

Kelli (14:30.413)
Yeah.

Kelli (14:34.402)
Bye.

Kelli (14:42.156)
No.

Wendy (14:49.152)
Edwin was there because Edwin lives downstairs, because she can't be with the kids alone, because she's not well enough to even take care of the kids by herself. They have a security system. Yes, yes. And that's what alerted them. they were there when it happened. He called 911. The police responded immediately. But she was letting people know, one, that they're OK, two, that you have to be on really high alert, because just a couple blocks away,

Kelli (14:55.479)
own a security system? No security business?

Wendy (15:17.332)
two people had been murdered in their home by a home invasion kind of thing. Like it's something that's happening in this area. And she said like his security cameras went off, like the lights came on, it scared them away. But even like make sure you set your alarms even when you're in your house, make sure everything is secure, like even when you're in your house. So in the midst of her fighting cancer and trying to like live her life, someone is trying to break into her home.

Kelli (15:20.494)
Whoa.

Holy shit.

Kelli (15:30.99)
Thank God.

Wendy (15:47.07)
And like she posted it, I didn't look at it. She said she posted it on her Instagram, like the surveillance video of like these people like running, like they're all covered in hoods and stuff, like around her property trying to get in.

Kelli (15:59.534)
Holy cow that's scary.

Wendy (16:01.254)
Right. I was like, my God. So she's going through a lot. know, Teddy's going through a lot.

Kelli (16:06.616)
That's the last thing she needs, Somebody in perfect health that would stress out.

Wendy (16:08.198)
No, exactly, Right, I agree. So Tamar says in her, Emily says it was inappropriate and she shouldn't have done it. She should have, she should apologize for that. And Tamar in her confessional says, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. Again, doesn't even know how to apologize. Right. Right.

Kelli (16:26.318)
Because she doesn't mean it, because it means nothing, it's not real. It's not a real apology, she's just saying it.

Wendy (16:32.658)
Right, and she also says she doesn't think what she said on the podcast was bad. So, Jeanne is telling Katie about what she heard on the podcast and Tamar's reaction to it. Tamar is still holding on to the whole thing about the minor daughter on the Facebook. And I screened, like I stopped it to see what she wrote. So, this is what Gretchen wrote on her daughter's post. This is in quotes, you have no idea how brave

Your words are helping so many who have been wronged by your mother's manipulation and lies as well. Dot, dot, dot. So thank you for being brave enough to speak the truth. I am so sorry your mother and your family's going through any of this, especially publicly, but continue to stay strong. Your morals and strength are commendable and inspiring. So really, like, she's just rooting her on. Although she's agreeing with her.

that her mother is, whatever she posted, guess it was about Tamra. So she's agreeing with her whatever she said about Tamra, because I don't know what the original post was. And she's, you know, commending her for being strong. I mean, she's an-

Kelli (17:43.618)
Yes. I mean, she definitely gets a dig in there on Tamra by saying like all the people she's hurt are manipulated. Okay. But she's not like your mother's a piece of shit. know, it's, I mean, it's.

Wendy (17:50.122)
Absolutely, I'm not saying she didn't dig on Tamra, but she didn't say-

Kelli (17:59.786)
Yes, it's negative about Tamra, albeit true, but it's more of her commending her on being brave.

Wendy (18:03.946)
Right.

Wendy (18:09.362)
Exactly. And her own strong moral and you know what I mean? like we, know, the public is here for you, right? Is basically what I was getting from it. So then Jen meets up with Heather and Shannon and Shannon tells them that she got a text from Katie this morning and that really set her off about the whole, you know, recording of her. Katie and her text said that there was an, it was an audio recording.

Kelli (18:17.206)
Right. Right.

Wendy (18:36.001)
But nobody heard it. Shannon said, I don't give an F because I know other people did. Because we, Heather told her that other people did, right?

Kelli (18:43.394)
Yeah. Yeah. Which is another lie that Katie's getting caught in.

Wendy (18:48.808)
Right, Because Heather then explains to her that I knew about it and I called her and she admitted to me that she played it. But she also said to get it cleared up because Jen was there also. She couldn't remember if Jen was there or not. So I feel like Jen is... What did you say?

Kelli (19:09.976)
Chances are Jen was there. Chances are Jen was there.

Wendy (19:16.01)
But I don't know because I mean, Jen is maintaining that she didn't hear it. I would think if she heard it, she would have just said, I did hear it. she's already.

Kelli (19:25.848)
I think that Jen thinks she'd get heat for hearing it and not saying it, but here's the thing. If Jen says she didn't hear it, Alexis says she doesn't remember if Jen was there, Katie should just go with it because Katie has one friend at this point and that friend is Jen. So fucking let it go, Katie. Whether Jen was there or not, stop saying Jen was there. She's your only ally right now. Let it go.

Wendy (19:43.721)
Right.

Right? No. Right. Yeah.

Yeah, I agree. I agree. Meanwhile, Katie's talking to Gina and they're saying that they should have never shared that with Alexis.

Kelli (20:07.714)
I mean, honestly, if she, I don't think, I don't know, but I don't think if she shared it with anybody else, it would be that big of a deal. But the fact that she shared it with Alexis during an ongoing litigation, it's like, what were you doing? What were you doing?

Wendy (20:17.236)
No, probably not.

Wendy (20:23.986)
Right, right, right. Right, and Katie and her confessionals, she's still kind of holding onto, I never hung out with Alexis alone, so Jen had to be there. All right, Katie, just let it go.

Kelli (20:35.702)
Yeah, stop, Katie, seriously, stop.

Wendy (20:38.652)
Shannon and her confessional says that she believes Jen's not a liar. And honestly, I actually believe Jen's not a liar also, because I feel like Jen has already come so hard for Tamara. And if she had that information, she doesn't owe Tamara anything at this point. She doesn't, I mean, who does she owe it to? She doesn't owe it. Like, I don't know.

Kelli (20:53.229)
No. No.

Kelli (20:59.82)
Yeah, I mean, hopefully she wasn't there, but whether she was or not, it's not a fact, Jen's not a factor in this equation. So.

Wendy (21:08.06)
Exactly. She's not. She's not.

Wendy (21:13.488)
Heather in her confessional said I 100 % believe Alexis doesn't remember all the details So, I don't know which I don't know what she's trying to say

Kelli (21:25.23)
Alexis is probably like, all right, it was an epic fail, me coming back on the show. Can you people please just leave me alone now? She's like, I'm trying to get rid of this leech John Jansen who won't go away.

Wendy (21:31.784)
Right. yeah, I'm sure that's probably it.

Wendy (21:40.552)
Right, exactly, exactly.

Kelli (21:41.8)
I mean, that whole thing felt like so poorly. she's probably trying to get rid of him at this point and move on to somebody bigger and better. He's not an attractive man. He's clearly a douchebag. I don't know if he's got money, but even if he does, is it worth it?

Wendy (21:51.21)
So Heather's... No, he's not.

Wendy (21:59.284)
I don't think so. Alexis is not a good picker either. I mean, we know Shen is not a good picker. No, no, and he was an asshole too. Right? They're not good pickers, those two.

Kelli (22:00.174)
No, she's not. No, because honestly, I didn't think Jim was attractive either.

Kelli (22:13.024)
He was, he actually came off a lot nicer after all of this. And I'll be honest with you, I'm so glad he sued Tamra. And I'm not a litigious person, even though I work for lawyers, I'm really not. I'm so glad he sued Tamra. But the interesting thing is that you would think that because she got sued and lost, she would have learned her lesson. She didn't learn her lesson.

Wendy (22:23.136)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (22:40.724)
no, she doesn't. She doesn't learn her lesson. She just doesn't. She doesn't.

Kelli (22:43.574)
It's unbelievable. The worst thing Bravo did was bring her back because it inflated her head even more than it was. She was very enjoyable on that podcast prior to her being a housewife again. Now I can't stand her. She just name drops and...

Wendy (22:55.452)
Mm-hmm. I agree.

Wendy (23:01.674)
So Heather says while she's talking to Jen and Shannon, listen, there's no coming back. Katie's crossed so many lines and Jen said, well, so is Tamara. And Heather said, I'm not Tamara's keeper. And Jen's like, well, I'm not Katie's keeper, right? So Jen asked if you give her grace because you're safer to be in that position. And I thought that was good for her. Good for her. And Heather's like, I'm not scared of Tamara. Well.

Kelli (23:24.344)
Absolutely. Absolutely.

Kelli (23:30.904)
Why does everyone feel the need to say they're not afraid of Tamra? Have you noticed that? Everyone feels the need to say they're not afraid of Tamra. She's one of the most disliked reality TV personalities out there.

Wendy (23:36.543)
Yeah.

Wendy (23:46.494)
And she thinks that's a good thing.

Kelli (23:48.486)
She pats herself on the back for moving storylines. She shows nothing about her real life because what is she, she's got nothing. She's got Eddie, that's it. Her kids don't want to film with her. She's not a good housewife. She's sloppy. She doesn't move storylines. She's sloppy. I know.

Wendy (23:52.02)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (24:04.07)
Nope. She thinks she is. She thinks she is. And actually, I think Andy does too, to be quite honest with you. I think Andy really likes Tamara. He's not a good...

Kelli (24:12.43)
Andy likes all the worst people. Did you hear her ask Jasmine, like, you think the show is gonna be okay without Jax? Because as hard as it is to watch him and as, know, blah, blah, blah, blah, you know, every show needs a villain. It's so annoying.

Wendy (24:21.855)
Yeah.

Wendy (24:31.496)
It is annoying. And yes, the show will be fine without Jax. Yes, it will. Yes. Tamar's in meanwhile, Tamar's telling Emily that they're trying to bait me, that they're baiting me. She's like, yep, Ryan put up a post, the lawsuit is ready for you. You got lucky that I gave you a pass last season. I can guarantee it comes for you this season. The minute you open your mouth about me.

Kelli (24:34.625)
the show's gonna be so much better without Jax. I can't wait.

Kelli (24:46.86)
Yeah, she said it was a pylon.

Wendy (24:59.956)
And Tamar's like, yeah, my attorney said, don't be around him. Don't be in the same room as him. And then Emily's like, well, what are you going to do about

Kelli (25:05.975)
Your attorney probably said that because you can't control yourself.

Wendy (25:08.744)
Yeah, exactly. You can't keep your mouth shut.

Kelli (25:11.52)
It's not him. Listen, he's giving you fair warning. I applaud him for putting that out there. Like say my name in the wrong space and it's game over.

Wendy (25:21.312)
Yeah, I agree. Emily said, well, what are you going to do about Heather's party? And she said, well, Heather said that she would take care of it. So then meanwhile, we go back to Heather and Shannon and Jen. And Heather's like, we need to switch subjects. I'm having a birthday party for myself. OK, so that was mentioned I don't know how many times at her birthday was actually two months prior. And she feels the need to throw a birthday party for herself.

Kelli (25:46.934)
So, I mean, once you break it down, like, all right, I guess her birthday's in December. A lot of people do dry January, so they don't want to go to a party in January. And then, so I guess now we're in February, but it's like, don't like what Emily said, like, do we really call it a birthday party at this point? Like, you're having a party.

Wendy (25:47.648)
Ahem.

Wendy (26:04.806)
No, why do you have to call it a birthday party? Can you just say you're having a party?

Kelli (26:09.56)
Cause this way she could put her name on everything like she likes to do. She's good to do it anyway.

Wendy (26:11.84)
I mean, she could put her name on everything anyway. That's what she does. Right. So Heather says, well, there's a little bit of a conundrum. I told Tamara I was having this party and she said, well, are Jen and Ryan coming? And Heather said, well, of course, I'm going to invite them. She said that her attorney said that she shouldn't be in the same room as them, so she just won't come. I don't want her not to come. And I don't want you not to come either. And I'm telling.

I'm not telling you not to bring Ryan. I just don't know how to handle this. Well, seriously, mean, Jen, her response is legit. Like, so you're choosing Tamara over me. What do you want me to say? Like, what was Jen supposed to say?

Kelli (26:56.6)
Jen, I swear she should get an award for this. And I'm not saying because I think it was a performance. I'm saying for the way she stuck up for herself in this moment. But you know, before we get to Jen's response, this goes against everything Tamra and Dolores and Teddy always say. You cannot refuse to film with other people on the show.

Wendy (27:02.643)
Yeah, her response was s-

Ahem.

Kelli (27:23.574)
Now I understand he's not a housewife. She's not refusing to film with another housewife, but Dolores would say that you can't refuse to film with the husbands because of the whole, you know, her friend and her husband, but whatever.

Wendy (27:26.066)
Right. Right.

Wendy (27:40.104)
Yeah, I will also say that Dolores and Tamara said this about Shannon last week too, that when Shannon got up and left after she found out what Katie did, they wanted her to stay. They thought she should have stayed. I thought what she did was the right thing to do.

Kelli (27:53.672)
absolutely.

Kelli (27:58.776)
They said the same thing, Delores said the same thing about Kristin and Nia on the Valley. And that's when I said, in Jersey, yeah, you're gonna stay, you're gonna fight, you're gonna throw wine, you're gonna do all the things. And in OC, I guess they expect that too. But now I totally agree with you, You know what it is, Shannon gets a very bad rap for flying off the handle. So her removing herself, that's growth. That's therapy working in the right way.

Wendy (28:19.887)
100%.

Wendy (28:25.107)
Yes!

Wendy (28:28.734)
Yes, I completely agree.

Kelli (28:30.562)
She can still be a housewife and learn to walk away when she needs to. And the Valley is not housewives, so we don't need them starting to act like housewives. Housewives is getting a little played out now.

Wendy (28:39.177)
No, I totally agree.

No, I totally agree. So Jen said, Jen goes on, she said, you're choosing Tamara. That's my husband who did nothing. I had to sit there and argue that my kids lived in a safe house that was never raided by the FBI. had to pay attorney fees that I don't have because your effing friends said we were raided by the FBI. That woman caused so much pain. So if she doesn't want to come and be around Ryan, then eff her. And then Shannon said, okay, sweetie.

Meanwhile, the people in the restaurant were like applauding her. Like legit. Right, like we're legit, like cheering her on, like yay. I was like, shit.

Kelli (29:15.938)
Yeah. So even the people in the restaurant don't like Tamra.

Kelli (29:27.458)
And if Tamara doesn't want to get sued, she should keep her fat mouth shut.

Wendy (29:32.98)
Yep. Jen said that you, that is so painful that you asked me that. Heather's like, didn't ask you anything.

Kelli (29:41.304)
But come on Heather, that's what you were alluding to.

Wendy (29:43.976)
Right. You said you have a conundrum.

Kelli (29:46.422)
Right. Right. But Heather said she's going to let the chips fall where they may. And we see what happens in the coming attractions.

Wendy (29:52.234)
Right.

Wendy (29:57.344)
Yes, right. Heather says, we'll just see what happens. Then we see Katie and her son, Brandon, who's seven. They're having dinner and he's talking about drawing something. I don't know if the heck he was talking about drawing. Then her husband, Matt, is there and Gavin, her 18 year old son is there. And we find out a little bit more about Gavin. Then he had switched schools last year, his senior year, because when she first came on, she had said that he was staying back because of school.

Kelli (30:15.64)
Mm-hmm.

Wendy (30:25.96)
And I don't know what made him decide to come and switch schools this senior year, but he did.

Kelli (30:30.178)
Maybe he just wanted to finish out the school year in San Diego. Like maybe she literally made that move mid-year. Yeah.

Wendy (30:37.384)
Maybe, think.

Kelli (30:41.55)
It's interesting we haven't seen your daughter yet this season.

Wendy (30:45.074)
Well, yeah, we haven't, but we're only at the third episode in, I mean, she's got enough shit going on, really. So she also brings up that her 15-year-old Max, when he was there at Christmas time, he talked about moving, when he can move back in and be all together. And she was really happy, obviously, to hear that.

Kelli (30:48.32)
I know, I know. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Kelli (31:10.819)
Yeah.

Wendy (31:11.449)
And she attributes it to Gavin that he really wants to be with Gavin. He looks up to his older brother. And I thought, well, that's nice, right?

Kelli (31:17.676)
Yeah. Yeah. And I mean, Gavin said that he misses him too, so.

Wendy (31:23.708)
Yeah. I was also surprised to hear that it has been almost 11 years ago that this custody battle has been going on. That is a long time.

Kelli (31:35.32)
But I don't think it's still going on, right? Like, Max stayed with the husband.

Wendy (31:37.892)
No, because she allowed her children to choose and people gave her a hard time about that. And if you think about it, mean, was, Max was four at the time, right? She didn't, right? was, it was 11 years ago.

Wendy (31:57.053)
So, yeah.

Kelli (31:58.062)
mean, that could have been heavily influenced by her.

Wendy (32:00.768)
Yeah, I mean she said she had no support. You know she didn't have them. She didn't have the finances to fight him

Kelli (32:07.276)
And she, she actually also said, right, like her family supported the ex, like, this is really crazy.

Wendy (32:11.188)
her- yes, yes, right. So-

Kelli (32:17.868)
Nobody knows, none of us will ever know what really happened. And quite honestly, it's not our business. just, you know, we're here for entertainment purposes, so.

Wendy (32:18.944)
We don't... No.

No.

Wendy (32:26.856)
That's it. So Katie asks Brandon, the youngest one, like what he thinks about them all being under the same roof. of course he says he's going to love it. Then we see Emily and Shane and Gina and Travis and Shannon and Adam, her friend, all go bowling. So Adam was from Love Island. Or Love Hotel, I'm sorry. Now I'm calling it Island. Love Hotel. No.

Kelli (32:36.077)
Yeah.

Kelli (32:51.854)
I always make that mistake too.

Wendy (32:55.548)
She eliminated him because she was still trying to figure out what was going on with Earl. He's six years younger than her and they're just friends, but they did show up in matching bowling shirts, which is so funny to me. That's totally Shannon. I also thought it was interesting that Shane has his own bowling shoes.

Kelli (33:08.982)
That was cute. But that's Shannon. Yeah.

Kelli (33:17.166)
my God, that makes me laugh. We went bowling Friday night at like 10 30, me, Eric, Joe and Tess for Eric's birthday. Eric loves to bowl. Not one of us broke a hundred by the way. I came out real strong though. But anyway, that's not the point. On the way home, Eric and Tess were both like, yeah, we're just throwing our socks out. I'm like, what? They're like, we're not keeping these socks, we're throwing them in the garbage.

Wendy (33:32.896)
That's alright.

Okay.

Wendy (33:46.068)
because of the bowling shoes.

Kelli (33:47.052)
because of the bowling shoes. And Eric said, I think I'm going to get my own bowling shoes. He does have his own bowling ball.

Wendy (33:52.614)
Well then he might as get his own bowling shoes, but wait a second!

Kelli (33:54.208)
And Tess will soon too, because my mother has already said she's passing hers down to Tess.

Wendy (33:59.614)
Her bowling ball. Your mother has her own bowling ball too.

Kelli (34:02.286)
my parents were in bowling leagues their entire lives. My father still bowls in a men's league. They were always in a couples league when they were married. And my mother probably just stopped bowling in a women's league probably two years ago because of her arthritis. My parents bowled their whole lives, yeah. Yeah, but that is very cute that Shane has his own bowling shoes.

Wendy (34:05.696)
Wendy (34:17.768)
Interesting, very, this is very interesting.

Wendy (34:25.694)
Yes, but I mean, your husband and daughter know that there is a thing called laundry and you can wash the socks.

Kelli (34:30.816)
I'm like, you don't think our washing machine and our detergent is gonna- and Joe's just like me. He's like, I'm just gonna put mine in the hamper. I'm like, yeah, me too.

Wendy (34:35.678)
Bye.

Right?

Kelli (34:43.118)
Like, let the drama queens do what they're gonna do and I'll wash our socks.

Wendy (34:46.984)
Yeah, exactly. Yeah. And I'll probably dick yours out of the garbage and wash them too. And you won't even know the difference. Gina's asking Adam all these questions. Like she's trying to vet him. Meanwhile, he's not the guy. Like he's just not the guy. He's just a friend, right? Travis tells Gina you're acting like our dogs. He said you're up their assholes. She's like, okay, I'm going to give him a little space. And I thought that was so funny that he totally called her out.

Kelli (34:53.546)
Exactly. Weirdos.

Kelli (35:03.8)
No, he's not the guy. She's grilling him.

Kelli (35:16.288)
It was funny, but I did like the she said when she said, I will not tolerate a John Jansen 2.0. I mean, they must know that Shannon's just friend, cause well, we'll get there, but he shows up with somebody else, but you know, John Jansen did on obviously want to be famous and he wanted to be on the show. However, he kept saying he didn't. So I guess her meeting somebody on reality TV, if they thought he was actually trying to date her, but they know.

Wendy (35:21.364)
Hahaha.

Wendy (35:26.899)
Yeah, yeah.

Wendy (35:38.098)
Right.

Kelli (35:45.282)
They must know that she's just friends with them.

Wendy (35:47.388)
Yeah, I would think so at this point, right? So they're also talking about Heather's party and Emily tells Shannon that Katie will be there.

Kelli (35:58.51)
and Shannon says she does not intend to speak with Katie anymore.

Wendy (36:02.43)
Right, And okay, that's all right. Then we see Shannon is talking to her son, Dom, he's 11, about signing, what he's signing up for. What did your father sign you up for? So he signed him up for football, soccer, and basketball. That's a lot. Yeah, Jen's son, Jen's son, Dom, the 11 year old, soccer and basketball.

Kelli (36:20.459)
Jen, son, Jen, son. Yes, yes.

Kelli (36:26.114)
Yeah, football.

Kelli (36:31.064)
So that kind of doesn't make sense though, I guess, but football and soccer are both fall sports. Basketball is winter sport.

Wendy (36:32.894)
At 11. That's a lot.

Wendy (36:39.136)
Maybe not in California? I don't know.

Kelli (36:42.454)
Yeah, maybe you're right. You're right. I'm just thinking New Jersey because of weather. Yeah, you're yeah, it could be year round. All three of them can be year round actually. Sounds like a lot though.

Wendy (36:45.286)
Yeah, yeah, maybe OC. It could be different.

Yeah. So we also find out that he got 16 warnings for talking too much in gym. So this is what this tells me is one that he needs to be busy. Dom needs to be busy. So maybe him doing three sports is good for him because if he's got too much free time, he's going to get in trouble. Right. So Ryan said that being a stepdad isn't easy because their dad is kind of a hands off approach and they all

Kelli (37:07.362)
Yeah, you're right. You're right.

Yeah. Yes.

Kelli (37:19.596)
I didn't like that he said that, honestly.

Wendy (37:21.598)
Well, I don't like that he said that, but I don't think he's financially paying for his children because they all live under Ryan's roof. And that's what the whole big problem was with...

Kelli (37:31.822)
Yeah.

you think maybe that's what the comment was? Like, yeah, he can go sign you up for all this, but I have to pay for it.

Wendy (37:37.054)
Y-yeah

Wendy (37:41.906)
Well, I you know, I think that Ryan is the one and Jen is the one that is supporting these kids because then we see her, she's talking to her son Dawson, the 18 year old about she wants to move up the wedding sooner because he's leaving for boot camp. And we find out that he signed up for, he went to the Marine recruiter with his dad and signed up to be

Kelli (37:45.08)
Maybe.

Kelli (37:53.25)
Yeah.

Wendy (38:09.596)
in the Marines without her knowledge. Now, obviously it's his father, so his father can steer him in a certain direction. And she was having a hard time with him because he was going between Ryan's house and his house. Ryan was, there's rules in my house, and his father was probably like, there's no rules. So I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but I can understand where she would be upset about that. But then when she asks him about

Kelli (38:17.058)
Yeah.

Kelli (38:28.184)
Yeah.

Wendy (38:37.386)
post-signing the school loan for the other brother, Harrison. That is just plain crazy.

Kelli (38:44.398)
That is definitely plain crazy. You should never ask your sibling to do that for you, and a parent shouldn't ask a child to do that for another child. No way.

Wendy (38:47.241)
Right?

Wendy (38:51.337)
No!

Wendy (38:55.144)
I can see a sibling. I can see a sibling asking another sibling, okay? So Harrison's 21, Dawson's 18, right? Okay. Harrison's older. Harrison's 21. Mm-hmm.

Kelli (39:02.51)
Wait, Harrison's older?

Kelli (39:13.006)
That doesn't make a lot of sense.

Wendy (39:15.86)
Yep. He's older. Jen says to him, listen, your dad asked me to do that and him and I are not in a place that I feel comfortable co-signing. But you did. And Ryan asks, like, do you understand what comes with this? And he's like, yeah, it's a student loan. So Jen and her confessional, and even Ryan, like in the confessional, and I'm glad it was in the confessional, says like, you're 18.

and you have no idea what you've just took on. A USC student loan is $73,000 a year. $73,000 a year.

Kelli (39:56.972)
Yeah. So that's $300,000 in student loans that somebody has to be responsible for. But the thing is, is Harrison's name going on it? He's the student.

Wendy (40:04.03)
Right.

Wendy (40:08.2)
He must be co-signing it. must need two signatures. Usually for a student loan of that size.

Kelli (40:15.416)
So wait, the father's not even going on it? It's Harrison and Dawson?

Wendy (40:19.826)
I believe so because I don't think the father's credit. Remember she said the whole financial thing and she was paying for everything and then he stopped paying and then he wouldn't talk to her and she was trying to talk to him. I don't think he has the ability to co-sign, but I don't know why an 18 year old would.

Kelli (40:45.166)
That's what I'm saying. That doesn't even make sense.

Wendy (40:47.86)
They, like it's, well, and the other thing is, you you probably know this, but student loans are the only loans that you cannot ever get rid of. Like you can't get rid of them. You can't put them in bankruptcy. You cannot get rid of a student loan. You need to pay that off. That is the only way to get rid of a student loan is to pay it off.

Kelli (40:58.84)
Nope. Nope.

Kelli (41:05.472)
And I think from what I understand, that is correct. And I think from what I understand is you should pay the interest while you're accruing the loans. somebody, if you can get somebody to pay the interest as you're in school.

Wendy (41:18.642)
No. Well, I know that William has a student loan. William has student loans. And the way his student loans work, and he was able to sign for them himself, right? The way his student loans work is while he's in school, he pays interest only. He pays interest only. So then once he graduates, he will be expected to pay

Kelli (41:40.578)
Right. Right.

Wendy (41:47.84)
principle plus interest, but while he's in school, he's paying interest only. And I asked him what the interest rate was and he said it was like seven point something percent, which isn't horrible, but it's not great. And because I think back to when like I had student loans, I remember they were like two or three percent, but that's, you know, 125 years ago. And, you know, that's when mortgage rates were, you not what they are today. So,

Kelli (42:14.19)
Exactly.

Right. It is all relative.

Wendy (42:17.566)
I guess it's all relative.

And he's going into the Marine Corps. The median salary for a Marine is $57,000. Let's round up, $58,000 a year. So when he goes to get even so much as a car loan, they're going to look to his income to debt ratio and he's going to be screwed. He's going to be screwed. He's going to need someone to co-sign for him for a car loan.

Kelli (42:43.916)
Right. Right.

Wendy (42:49.088)
So I feel bad for this. I feel bad for this kid because he really

Kelli (42:54.372)
Me too. I really do. I really do.

Wendy (42:58.58)
Then we see Heather and Tamara meet up. Heather orders a bottle of champagne and asks Tamara if she's okay, because she's been very quiet. Tamara's talking about what's going on with Teddy, and I get that. She's got a lot going on with Teddy and her therapy with bringing up all the things that happened between her and her daughter. And then Heather's like, I'm really proud of you.

I also noted that she did drink champagne because initially Tamara, the first she wasn't drinking, but now she did have some champagne. Right, it's only the third episode in. Heather lets her know that she said to Jen, aren't you giving Tamara grace and...

Kelli (43:33.985)
Right.

Yes, that didn't last long.

Right. Really didn't last long.

Wendy (43:53.866)
Heather's saying that now that Gretchen's in the mix of things, like it's gonna be a Tamar bashing party. So basically what Heather's telling Tamar is, know, you gotta watch your back. Jen's not gonna go easy on you. Gretchen's in the mix now and there's only so much I can do to help you. was basically.

Kelli (44:13.238)
Yeah, basically she was saying that Gretchen is the reason Jen is not giving her grace, which is such complete bullshit.

Wendy (44:18.345)
Right.

Right. Right. She also.

Kelli (44:23.926)
And she tells her that the conversation with Jen didn't go well. And Tamara says, just tell them not to come.

Wendy (44:27.05)
right, that, you know.

Right. Right. Yeah.

Kelli (44:34.327)
that's not how housewives work, Tamara. Sorry.

I am happy that Heather's dealing with it the way she is though.

Wendy (44:42.218)
No.

Wendy (44:45.664)
Yeah, I am too, actually. I am too. So it's the day of the party. We see all the ladies getting ready. And Terry asks Heather, how much does this party cost relative to the Nobu Party? And we see clips of the Nobu Party. And that costs $35,000. And Heather's response is more. And then.

Kelli (45:04.642)
Did you, did Terry Dubrow ever hear the saying that wealth whispers?

Wendy (45:09.822)
Hmm, probably not.

Kelli (45:11.636)
He cannot stop talking about money. And I have to tell you, my parents always taught me that the more people talk about money, the less they have. Now, clearly they have a lot of money, but...

Wendy (45:24.832)
Well, I will say this though, he did not mention any numbers. So he never mentioned, he just said, he

Kelli (45:32.546)
Well, last time he mentioned that her party at Nobu cost $35,000. The last episode. Something came up. Yeah. Something came up about $35,000 and he said, well, you would drop that at a party at Nobu.

Wendy (45:37.62)
But he...

No.

Wendy (45:47.501)
that was for the flooring. When he said...

Kelli (45:51.5)
Right. So, so now, so now he's asking, you know, relative to a no boo party. Right. So what does she wind up saying? Triple?

Wendy (45:56.912)
Relative to the no boo, right. How much was it? Well, he said, is it two times that? Three times that? And Heather said more like four times. Terry said four times. She said, yeah, that's.

Kelli (46:07.855)
times. So now we know her party cost $140,000.

Wendy (46:12.732)
Right. And she's like, yeah, but the other one was in our house. Okay. And then we see the place where we'll get, we'll get to there.

Kelli (46:22.028)
I don't know if this party should have cost $140,000.

Wendy (46:25.728)
I mean, there was a lot going on there. We'll get to that.

Kelli (46:30.366)
here we go. This is what the knee thing is. Ryan had knee surgery. I knew we would crack the case wide open. Yep.

Wendy (46:33.452)
Ryan, knee surgery. That's right. There's the knee. That's it. That's it. So yes. So I mean, the day before he had knee surgery.

Kelli (46:46.055)
Maybe Ryan could have sat, I mean, I'm glad he went, but he could have sat this one out, in all honesty.

Wendy (46:50.27)
That's, that's honestly exactly what I said, especially when I saw him roll up with his hoodie and sweatpants with the jacket. was like,

Kelli (47:01.954)
He always dresses like that. Like there's always like a hoodie-ish collar on whatever shirt he's wearing. But yeah, like you're going to a fancy party. If you have to dress like that because of your condition, just don't go. Don't go.

Wendy (47:07.271)
Yeah.

Wendy (47:16.296)
Right, right. Yeah, I mean, listen.

Kelli (47:21.442)
Don't wear sweatpants to that party.

Wendy (47:23.932)
No, no. We see Katie talking to her glam squad saying that she wishes they could come with her. Shannon's taking Phil from Love Hotel with her. Terry walks in the room at the event and looks around and he's like, wow, there's a gong. And then he looks around some more and he goes, this is a very Heather Dubrow event.

Kelli (47:50.892)
Yeah, like there's a girl in a huge champagne glass pouring champagne. Did she say she's got two guys over there rolling joints? Okay.

Wendy (47:55.357)
Yes.

Wendy (47:59.56)
Yes, has. She has two people rolling joints. no, no. She has, excuse me. She has people rolling joints. She has two guys writing haikus. She's got sliders and french fries, sushi and caviar bumps. She also hired, well, I mean, it is a cocaine reference, but they do say that with caviar. Like they, like that, right.

Kelli (48:18.062)
That's a cocaine reference.

Kelli (48:25.618)
because they're eating it like this instead of... So it's definitely a cocaine reference, which is kind of odd for Heather for Fancy Pants. What is with all of the cocaine in the Housewives sphere? It's all over. Well, bravo because of the Valley. I don't like it, people. Cocaine is not your friend. Don't do it. You can't just do that socially. Sorry. I don't buy that.

Wendy (48:29.513)
Right.

Right.

Yes, maybe.

I don't know. I don't know.

Wendy (48:46.527)
Yeah.

Wendy (48:50.142)
No, no, don't do it. Don't do it.

really want to go back to the two guys writing haikus. Like, am I going to go sit at a station with some guy and is he going to write me a haiku and what the fuck am I going to do with it? What am I going to do with this?

Kelli (48:57.644)
you

Kelli (49:03.714)
Yeah, no, I'm at a party. I don't, I want to drink champagne and probably, well, I don't smoke weed, but I don't fault anybody for doing it. I'll go outside and smoke a cigarette, but I don't want to sit and write a haiku or have someone do it for me. It just reminded me of when Tess was in the poetry club at midstreams. She had to write a haiku. I don't even know what it is. Some sort of poem.

Wendy (49:18.56)
It's so weird.

Wendy (49:26.464)
I'm not exactly sure. I know. And she also hired professional photographers to capture the event, not paparazzi. Okay.

Kelli (49:36.494)
But of course.

Wendy (49:39.114)
Gina in her confessional says, some people celebrate Christmas in June and Heather celebrates her birthday whenever the F she wants, which is so true.

All right, so the next thing I wrote is I'm not exactly sure the name of this place, but it's absolutely gorgeous. It's like emblazoned with like marble staircases and gold. And then we find out that it was like an old church, but we didn't know that in the beginning. Jen shows up in this beautiful sparkle dress. And like I said, Ryan is wearing his hoodie and blazer, sweatpants.

Kelli (50:06.787)
Right.

Wendy (50:19.296)
Matt and Katie are walking in and he's like, wow, this place. And Gina said, wow, this place. And Matt said, it's gaudy. Which by the way, every time I kept saying gaudy into my voice to talk, it wouldn't recognize gaudy. It wouldn't recognize it. It wouldn't. It was like, I had to type it. I was like, why is it not recognizing gaudy? It kept, stupid. Matt.

Kelli (50:35.725)
Really?

Kelli (50:42.594)
It's so funny.

That's funny.

Wendy (50:47.296)
Matt also says this place looks like Vegas and jokingly asks Ryan, what are the odds on this party? I thought that was funny. I really did. I really did. He's like,

Kelli (50:54.86)
I thought that was funny too.

I thought that was funny too. How about when Terry lost his joint? He's like, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. He went to, he was, he pulled it out, but he just had like the sleeve that it was supposed to be in. And he was like, Whoa, where to go, where to go. And then he found it.

Wendy (51:03.542)
wait, when did he lose his joint? missed that.

Wendy (51:14.484)
my God, that's so interesting. was so, I didn't see that. And I just think it's very odd that Terry Dubrow smokes weed.

Kelli (51:23.66)
Well, I mean, we saw our micro dose, the gummies or the edibles years ago. So I knew they were into something.

Wendy (51:29.92)
I know, I know, I know. I know we did see the microdosing, but it just for some reason, I mean, the man's a plastic surgeon. And again, not that he's, but I don't know. just, don't know. I'm sure he's not under the influence. No, and I'm sure he's not under the influence when he's performing surgery. Like that's not what I'm saying, but I'm just like, it's just odd to me. That's all. I'm just thinking it's odd.

Kelli (51:42.562)
I'm sure they're not, you know, smoke every day kind of smokers, but no, of course not. Yeah.

Kelli (51:55.82)
Yeah. Yeah.

Wendy (52:00.352)
Gretchen and Slater there, Katie. Jen, Shannon. Katie's not sure what to do when she sees Shannon walking up. They're not sure if Tamara's even coming because of Ryan being there.

Kelli (52:18.284)
Yeah. Why did we hear that Gretchen Brokeslade's penis? Like, where did that come from?

Wendy (52:23.296)
my god, like

So that came from when she was talking to Emily. So her and Emily were talking about they go to the same doctor to get their testosterone. They go to the same person to get their testosterone. that they should, she's like, we should go together. And then they're talking about it. And meanwhile, Slade and Shane are, yeah.

Kelli (52:41.646)
and she was so aggressive on the testosterone.

Kelli (52:53.358)
and let's hammer here you say that.

Wendy (52:55.85)
They're like laughing and then Gretchen said, yeah, that's after I started taking the testosterone, that's when I broke his penis. And Emily's like, wait, like you actually, like a medical thing? And then she's like, yeah, and she explains the whole thing, how she actually broke it again. Like nobody needed to know that. And then the look on Slade and Shane's face when she starts explaining it, it just said it all, to be quite honest with you.

Wendy (53:22.302)
Yeah, nobody needed to know that. We did not know.

Kelli (53:24.002)
Nobody needs to know that. Cause now he's got a crooked dick and he's going to have that for the rest of his life. And now everybody knows that.

Wendy (53:29.78)
And now we all know, now we all know, now the whole world knows that he's got a hook. We all know that because Gretchen told us. We didn't need to know that. We did not.

Kelli (53:40.13)
We did not need to know that.

Wendy (53:42.348)
so I didn't realize this either that the, when Shannon comes in, Heather says to her, like, take your, take your tequila shot and then make a wish. And then you throw your shot glass at the gong. I didn't realize what the whole thing was with the gong. So your shot glass is supposed to hit the gong. So of course, Shannon takes the shot of tequila and you know, misses the gong. then the

Kelli (54:06.702)
three times.

Wendy (54:07.516)
Right, so then like we gotta take another one, but you just do water. Like you don't have to do unlike good. Like she doesn't need to keep doing tequila shots. So she finally gets the stupid gong going, right? Then Gina Interconfessional talks about this venue used to be a Christian television network compound. And that totally explained it because then her and Emily are walking around like trying to find the bathroom and then there's these mirrored walls.

Kelli (54:32.972)
at a big stage.

Wendy (54:34.022)
a big like arena type like where you know like Cirque du Soleil could be performing in there. I'm like what is going on in this place like it really did look like some kind of crazy place. And I imagine that place was pretty expensive. That's why.

Kelli (54:36.802)
Ha

That was pretty awesome.

Kelli (54:46.968)
Definitely, definitely.

yeah. I mean, maybe, maybe that's where the 140 comes in, like, paying for the venue to begin with.

Wendy (54:57.777)
Yeah, it was a huge venue.

Kelli (55:00.526)
I love Gina and Emily when they're Lucy and Ethel. I really do. Cause they truly are Lucy and Ethel. I never got that vibe from Jacqueline and Theresa quite honestly, but I totally get the vibe from Emily and Gina.

Wendy (55:05.925)
Yes. Yes.

Wendy (55:13.948)
I like it when it's just the two of them too.

Kelli (55:15.746)
Yeah, it's the other stuff that's frustrating. But that was a very fun moment with those two. Yeah.

Wendy (55:19.326)
Yes, it is. Yes, absolutely.

Kelli (55:27.714)
Well, Shannon brings Phil. We talked about that.

Wendy (55:29.534)
Yep, Shannon brings Phil. Gina sits down next to Katie and asks her how she feels. She says, listen, she's happy to be here at Heather's birthday party because she never expected to be invited to a Heather party after what happened last year.

Kelli (55:42.914)
Well, that's because you're being set up, Katie. Don't be too happy. Don't be too grateful yet.

Wendy (55:45.106)
Right. She said she's sad about Shannon. And then she's like, well, you're good with Tamar. And she's like, no, I'm actually hurt by her. Like, every time something comes up, it's because of something I shared with, like Tamar's the one who's blowing her up.

Kelli (56:03.31)
Listen, she smiles on your face and stabs you in the back. That's her. That's Tamara. And she thinks that makes her a good housewife.

Wendy (56:06.228)
Yep, that's what she does. Okay, Heather and Katie. Okay, so now Heather and Katie are talking. Heather suggests that she should talk to Shannon tonight. So then they decide that Jen is gonna go over and distract Phil so that Shannon and Katie can talk.

So that's what they do. Shannon said, you gave me excuses in your text, not an apology. And what you did was illegal, she says to her. And Katie said, you were on speakerphone, so you made it my business. This is what I don't get with Katie. This was her chance to just apologize, but she's doubling down.

Kelli (57:02.254)
She is doubling down, she's not apologizing. You're absolutely right. She should have went over there and been like, Shannon, you've been a very good friend to me in a time when I needed a friend. I am incredibly sorry. And whatever I can do to help us move forward. Boom, you're done.

Wendy (57:09.064)
Yes, yes, yes.

Wendy (57:17.256)
Yes, yes, yes, but no, she's not. She's not doing that. She's literally doubling down. She's like, you came in on your speakerphone and you made it my business. And Katie's like,

Kelli (57:27.166)
I don't doubt for a second that Shannon came in there like an asshole. Now I'm starting to believe that very annoying host of Love Hotel when he said what he said about Shannon. However, now I'm also questioning why he said it, was it to perpetuate the storyline on Real Housewives of OC? And is Tamra behind it? But anyway, that all aside, because I could go down the rabbit hole with a conspiracy theory.

Wendy (57:55.965)
Yes.

Kelli (57:56.024)
But I totally agree with you. This was Katie's opportunity to go over there, apologize, and see what they could do to move on. But how funny was fucking Shane? This guy, he doesn't say much, but when he says it, it's funny. He's like, who'd he say it to? He's like, we should record Katie and Shannon's conversation.

Kelli (58:18.582)
He said it to one of the husbands, I forget who. But he's so funny.

Wendy (58:19.456)
It was probably Slade because that's who he was hanging out with last.

Kelli (58:25.496)
Probably.

So funny. who, Shannon says she's worried about Katie's mental state.

Wendy (58:34.13)
Yes, yes. Yeah, because Jen's like, listen, I've gone to the bottom of the barrel with these women and like, never once has anyone ever recorded me. Like you have like...

Kelli (58:45.58)
And you knew how upset she was at the fact that John had the ring camera footage. I mean, my God, it's like so black and white that this was wrong, Katie.

Wendy (58:47.647)
Right.

Wendy (58:51.878)
Exactly. Exactly.

Wendy (58:59.634)
Right, right. And that's what she even says. Like, she's like, you know, I

I put you now, and now I put you in the same category as John Jansen. And she's like, and she's like, wait, I didn't sue you for $70,000. I'm like, my God, she's still not getting it. Like she's still not getting it. Like she's still.

Kelli (59:18.222)
She's not getting it.

And think about the history of Housewives and you and I are both well versed. I think, I believe I could be wrong if someone wants to correct me, please feel free, but this is only the second time we've had an issue with recording. And the other time was just very recently on Salt Lake City with Brittany. Right? I don't think we've had any other situations because it's such a violation. It's such a violation. Like,

Wendy (59:26.655)
Yeah.

Wendy (59:40.19)
Yes. Yes. No.

Kelli (59:50.306)
Whether you like a housewife or not, they're on reality TV, they're supposed to be showing us their lives, to record them, to then use it against them. Like what was the purpose? What was the intent?

Wendy (59:53.055)
Yeah.

Wendy (01:00:06.366)
Right, that's the whole question is what was the intent? No, no, and again, this would have been the time to just apologize instead of coming up with all this other bullshit, like just apologize. And then Shannon at this point says, let me make this clear, I will never ever speak to you again. You can't just apologize anywhere. You are an evil person. You are an evil person.

Kelli (01:00:07.798)
I don't buy that it was to share it with your husband.

Kelli (01:00:14.572)
Yes, 100%.

Kelli (01:00:19.096)
Yes.

Wendy (01:00:33.556)
This is worse than what Alexis Bellino and Tamar Judge have done. mean, so she means it. Like, she means it.

Kelli (01:00:37.954)
Yeah, that's bad.

Yep. And then of course, next week, they're all saying that Tamra's not coming in, but next week we see she comes in with Joe. And you know, when I first saw the clip on Instagram, I thought this bitch better not have brought his ex-wife. I thought she brought the ex-wife, but it was Joe. But honestly, I don't even think that's a big deal because Joe and Gretchen have hung out since this whole thing. Since Gretchen and Slade have been together. I've seen them together on posts.

Wendy (01:00:51.304)
Yep, she does.

Wendy (01:01:12.446)
I know, probably not a big deal, but it's it's her just trying to be that girl, right? So on Watch What Happens Live that afterwards, it was Shannon and this woman, Denise Welch. I don't, I never heard of her. Did you watch it? you did? Okay. So she is the host of Loose Women in the UK. It's Like the View, but in the UK.

Kelli (01:01:14.39)
It's not a big deal.

Yeah, exactly.

Kelli (01:01:29.676)
I did watch it. I never heard of her, but I loved her.

Wendy (01:01:40.05)
It also turns out that her son used to date Taylor Swift. I did not know that either. And I just saw, I guess I saw that clip that she had said that she was happy that she dodged the bullet being her mother-in-law. And she did clarify it to say that it was nothing against Taylor. But I saw the clip before that even happened. I was like, why is somebody?

Kelli (01:01:44.588)
Yes, I did not know that and I looked it up.

Kelli (01:01:58.552)
Yes.

Wendy (01:02:08.168)
making that statement but now I know why it was made because it was on Watch What Happens Live.

Kelli (01:02:11.864)
Well, and did you hear what she said? Like you have to sign an NDA, but then she can write a song about you, which is so fucked up. And I did Google it and she does make her partner sign NDAs. Like she's like known.

Wendy (01:02:15.897)
She said that. Yes. Right. Well.

Mm-hmm.

Wendy (01:02:28.584)
Well, you need to though. I think you need to.

Kelli (01:02:32.086)
Yeah, but but then you shouldn't have the right to turn around and write a song about somebody

Wendy (01:02:37.672)
Well, if you don't name them, she's an artist. She's an artist. That's what she does. You know, she writes about her life.

Kelli (01:02:40.044)
Yeah, I guess not. If you're not naming them, naming them, then I guess not. Yeah. Yeah.

And listen, you know that going in, if you're gonna date Taylor Swift, you're gonna have, it's like John Mayer. If you date John Mayer, you're have a song written about you, most likely. So, you know, tread lightly.

Wendy (01:02:56.348)
Exactly, exactly.

Exactly. Sophie and Adeline are there also, which I'm always happy when I see them because I like those girls. The number one question for Shannon was, why were you so upset about Katie recording you during one of your meltdowns when every season on national television you have a meltdown? No, she did not.

Kelli (01:03:22.414)
She did not like that question.

who did not like that question.

Wendy (01:03:31.008)
She did not like that question. And Andy's like, he was taken aback by the fact that she didn't get it. yeah. But she said, it doesn't matter. In the state of California, it's illegal. So there's that. Then the poll questions were, whose side are you on, Shannon or Katie's? 82 % were on Shannon's side. Is Katie secretly courting Shannon a forgivable friendship offense?

Kelli (01:03:38.19)
Yeah.

Wendy (01:03:59.936)
74 % said no.

Who is worse, John Jansen or Katie? 97 % said John Jansen. Should Shannon have gone back for grilled cheese? Shannon's like, she got another one. So I guess that means she stays. get, okay. 53 % said yes though, by the way. Who is the best match for Shannon, Earl, Adam, Phil, or none of the above? 49 % said none of the above.

Kelli (01:04:17.133)
Yeah

Kelli (01:04:21.358)
I'm sure she stays.

Kelli (01:04:33.752)
Right. Correct.

Wendy (01:04:35.84)
Who saw you on Gretchen or Tamar? 80 % are on Gretchen.

Kelli (01:04:40.578)
Thank God.

Wendy (01:04:41.536)
Yes, yes. Could Katie win you over with an expensive scalp treatment? 76 % said no. I agree. I don't think that would do it. And I also wrote down that the bartender was from the Big Little Feelings, the Big Little Feeling Girls podcast. I wrote that down because I would like to manifest that the We Wine Whenever podcast would be a bartender on Watch What Happens Live.

Kelli (01:05:10.766)
let's manifest.

Wendy (01:05:10.912)
So, Andy and the producers at Watch What Happens Live, we, why whenever, would love to be behind the bar on Watch What Happens Live. So please consider us. And that's all I have for this episode. Do you have anything else? Okay. Until next time, thank you for watching and listening. Please subscribe and give us five star reviews. Bye.

Kelli (01:05:21.386)
Agreed. Yep.

Kelli (01:05:27.04)
No? Nope.

Kelli (01:05:33.88)
Bye.
