McBee Dynasty Season 3 Episode 5 Recap: "Business Beef"
Episode Summary
Episode 5 blends relationship drama with major business tension as the McBee family faces the reality of restructuring the farm while a promising new tallow skincare business sparks questions over ownership, profits, and trust.
Steven Jr. surprises Kacie with a potbelly pig named Todd, fulfilling one of her dreams, while Masha prepares for Steven McBee Sr.'s prison sentence by organizing a boudoir calendar photoshoot.
At the meat processing facility, Galyna and Tessa continue helping dismantle the operation as the family's restructuring moves forward. The emotional weight of losing the business is evident, especially for longtime employees.
One of the lighter moments turns surprisingly revealing during a couples' game night. Jesse, Allie, Cole, and Kacie answer intimate relationship questions that expose deeper problems. Jesse and Allie admit they've become more like co-parents than husband and wife since having Summer, struggling with communication, intimacy, and feeling appreciated. Allie shocks Jesse by revealing she quietly stopped taking birth control, while both acknowledge they don't feel heard or prioritized in their marriage.
Meanwhile, Kacie's tallow skincare business appears ready to explode. She invested $12,000 of her own money, works on it nearly every day, and has yet to receive any income. Steven Sr. initially promised it would be entirely her business, but now believes the company could generate $5 million annually if properly scaled.
Steven proposes a new ownership structure:
- 40% McBee Farm
- 40% Kacie
- 20% Allie Ecklund for marketing and branding expertise.
Kacie is blindsided and uncomfortable giving away part of her business to someone she's only known for a month, especially after seeing Steven previously give Galyna ownership in another company. Cole fully supports Kacie keeping majority ownership, while Allie Ecklund believes stronger branding and marketing could make the business the future of the farm.
The episode closes with Jesse and Allie finally having an emotional heart-to-heart. Both admit they've neglected their relationship, taken each other for granted, and failed to communicate. Through tears, they agree they still want their marriage to work, but Allie makes it clear she needs to see real actions—not just promises—before believing things will truly change.

Kelli (00:00.802)
Hi, welcome to We Wine Whenever. I'm Kelly.
Wendy (00:03.875)
Wendy.
Kelli (00:05.8)
tonight we're going to talk about excuse me, McBee Dynasty season three, episode five, business beef. before we do that, we'd like to ask you to please go to our YouTube and subscribe, our Instagram and follow. We really need the Instagram followers, Facebook, TikTok, follow, follow. Thank you. before we start talking about this episode, Wendy and I were just talking about something we saw on social media.
The Bravo Instigator came out and said, I received some disturbing but very reliable information today about the McBee's. These are allegations, of course, so take it for what you will. And the allegations are that Cole McBee offered a woman $50,000 to have an abortion with his baby. the other thing is.
There was a woman who got pregnant with Cole's baby. Cole offered the woman fifty thousand dollars to get an abortion. The woman and Casey were pregnant at the same time. Casey was pregnant with another guy's baby, and she got the abortion because the baby was not Cole's. Casey and Cole were on and off. They were sleeping together and seeing other people, but he was sleep, you know, they were seeing each other.
But sleeping with other people. Casey does does know about the other pregnancy. The woman did not take the money and lost the baby. Now this apparently something came out with Kala, correct? Like I don't think this is from Cala.
Wendy (01:49.377)
Yes. No, so what Calla said, I have Calla's post. Calla's post was I was always nice to Casey. She's just mad I told everyone her secret about being pregnant. She said it was Cole's, but it wasn't. Dot dot dot. Got an abortion at five months pregnant because Christy got a paternity test and it wasn't his. Then she puts an LOL. First of all, w why are you putting out this information?
on a public pr platform and why are you L O L'ing it?
Kelli (02:23.841)
Right. That's like a really shitty thing to say about somebody, whether it's true or not, because if
Wendy (02:25.078)
And then she went on to say
Wendy (02:29.482)
It's absolutely absolutely.
Kelli (02:33.825)
I don't think any woman would ever take that choice lightly. And whatever the circumstances are, that's that's never anything to be thrown in someone's face or used against them as a weapon. I just I I didn't have much respect for Cala before this, but I have zero now.
Wendy (02:49.215)
I agree, I agree.
Wendy (02:54.53)
Yeah, and then she went on she went on to say, Please keep talking shit so I can feel better about spilling everything. Been holding off too long out of respect, but you all keep all can't keep my name out your mouth.
Kelli (03:08.385)
I mean, didn't they only say that Allie looked like her?
Wendy (03:12.534)
I mean, they did say that Ali looked like her and that she was nicer than than Cala. I mean and I think that that anyone that saw
Kelli (03:18.231)
They did say that. They were like, Well, this is different. I think Christy said this is different. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Wendy (03:23.446)
Right. Yeah.
But it's it's horrible. It's har listen, whether it's true or it's not, the fact that Cala felt the need to put this out on a public platform to badmouth Cole and Casey, not Steven, who she has beef with, and to put an L O L on it when I mean, come on. You are you're try you're trash. I'm sorry, and I don't like to call people that, but that's a trashy move.
Kelli (03:28.235)
Well.
Kelli (03:40.865)
Humiliate. Yeah.
Mm-hmm. Right.
Kelli (03:55.053)
Trash. Total trash.
Wendy (03:57.379)
That's a trashy move. It really is. It really is a trashy move.
Kelli (03:59.566)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (04:03.521)
Well, listen, you know, just as quickly as we saw a different side of Steven Junior prior to this season being released, we're now seeing that side of Cala. So clearly one's no better than the other because she might not be rage texting somebody like he was, but that's a disgusting thing to do to somebody. Disgusting.
Wendy (04:27.234)
That is a disgusting thing to do. And, you know, the the other thing that was I saw that was put out was that Allie Eklund did put out that which we're gonna see in this episode where Steven is trying to give her twenty percent of the tallow business that she had no idea about that. Now we when we f when we started this, you know, last week recapping it, we were not a big fan of Allie's. And I'm still not a big fan of Allie's. I'm not. Because I think that she came on this show with an agenda.
She came on the show for the fame. She showed up for a paycheck. She I think she possibly did think it was gonna work out with Steven Jr., but quickly realized it wasn't because he's a psychotic person, and that is what it is. But the fact that she is coming out and kind of and and I will say this, even after they broke up, I do recall when Casey posted on Instagram that she was expecting.
Kelli (05:09.878)
It's just
Wendy (05:28.058)
Allie was still liking those posts and Casey and Allie still kinda had a little bit of a relationship online. I saw it, right? And I I I think it's interesting, but I think it's I think it's real. And I think the fact that Allie is is coming out now saying that this is not true. I said to Steven when he asked me to take on this venture that I don't really have it in me right now to take on a whole new brand because I I just don't. I have too many other things I'm working on.
Kelli (05:35.115)
Hm, that's interesting.
Wendy (05:58.039)
And she's already a successful, you know, influencer and brand, she sh exactly. And she said, I'll help her. I'll I will help her, but I don't, you know, you don't don't give me a percentage. And that's not that's not what Steven was pushing for. And she had no idea. So I just want to put that out there. So I don't know. I like this show, but the more that comes out, it the more I'm like, can't we just find some normal people? Like, really?
Kelli (06:00.962)
Right. She didn't she didn't need it. They needed her more than she needed them.
Kelli (06:17.742)
Yeah. Interesting.
Kelli (06:25.484)
No, because that's the because Steve it's it's very clear that Steven Jr. just wants to be a reality T V sho star. and it's not landing. And he's the more he tr he's just he he he looks worse and worse. And it's gonna turn it could possibly turn people off to this show. Because I don't think the other t like I don't think the rest of them ca really care that much.
Wendy (06:44.716)
He does, he really does.
Kelli (06:54.582)
I think the father cares and I think Steven Junior cares.
Wendy (07:00.652)
And it's the other players that we really like. Like I really like Casey. I really like Jesse. I really like Tessa. I like Cole. Like I like I mean, I don't like Masha. Could Yes. Yes, Jesse's Allie. Yes. Jake. I like Jake. Like and Jake's girlfriend. Like these are the people we like. Yes. okay, go ahead. I'm sorry. I just wanna bring that up.
Kelli (07:00.919)
Anyway.
Exactly. Yeah.
Mm-hmm. Allie. other Allie. Jesse's Alley. Yeah.
Yeah. Yep. And T again. Right.
All right, so we start out at Cole and Casey's house and they are no, Stephen no, before we get to that, Stephen Junior and Allie bring Casey a potbellied pig as an engagement gift because Steven says she's always wanted one. So they sneak into the house, they get the pig in there, and then all of a sudden Cole, Casey, and Blair come walking down the hall and they're What the hell is this? And they're like, We got you a potbellied pig 'cause you always wanted one. And Casey's like, I wanted a pony.
Kelli (07:53.431)
And then the pot belly pig shits on the floor. So that was an epic, epic fail.
Wendy (07:56.589)
Yeah.
Wendy (08:00.376)
Yep. And his name is Todd, by the way. I don't know where that came from. Right. Right.
Kelli (08:01.562)
yes, not Wilbur like Charlotte's Webb.
Masha goes to see Allie and brings chicken feed to Steven Jr.'s house. I think Masha's really clinging on to Allie now. And it is, it is. And Masha asks Allie if she thinks the family accepted her right away. And Allie's like, yeah, I mean, you know, it it's gotten, you know, it's built it's building, but yeah, for the most part. And
Wendy (08:17.698)
Well, it's her only saving grace.
Kelli (08:36.578)
That's because Steven Jr. didn't have a girlfriend. Like she didn't like Yeah, exactly. So Masha tells Allen that she's gonna do a calendar. She's gonna shoot a calendar for Steve Sr. to take with him to jail. Do you even think he could have it in there? I guess he's is he going to like a white collar place? He's probably going to like a white yeah, yeah, yeah. So he can have his calendar. She wants to basically do like a bo boudoir shoot.
Wendy (08:40.438)
Right. It's a little bit different.
Wendy (08:54.636)
I mean I would
Yes, yes, yes, like yes.
Kelli (09:04.342)
And she wants Allie there. And Allie's like, Okay. so did I. Yeah. Yes, yes. Mm mm.
Wendy (09:08.426)
She actually wanted her to shoot the photos, but then we see later. Yeah, okay. You thought that too. Okay, I wasn't the only one. I was I think she wants her to take these pictures.
Kelli (09:18.188)
I think she did too. And she very well could have an alley like after the scene was like, Yeah, I'm not doing that, but I'll show up.
Wendy (09:25.014)
Mm, mhm.
Kelli (09:27.426)
So we're at the processing facility and Galena shows up and Tessa's there. Tessa is now the office manager at the meat facility. And she says there's nothing she wouldn't do for the boss and those boys. So basically Steve Senior called her and said, I need you to go up there and be the office manager and get those people online and that's what she did.
Wendy (09:49.89)
Now you know that's in another state.
Kelli (09:52.034)
Yes, that's I'm like how far like where is she driving from?
Wendy (09:55.919)
I don't know. I I we should probably Google that. Yeah, I'm gonna Google it. I'm gonna Google it. Right.
Kelli (09:58.669)
We should because then Casey shows up. Casey shows up to get the kidney fat. She gets the kidney fat from the meat processing center. She renders it. She adds her own ingredients and she makes her tallow. So I'm sorry, Stephen Junior. I don't care what you're doing. This woman's driving to another state to go get the kidney fat to make the tallow. you know, I didn't realize that Galena wasn't at the engagement until she said something.
Wendy (10:18.582)
Mm-hmm.
Wendy (10:27.885)
Yeah.
Kelli (10:29.634)
That's I don't know, I've kind of felt bad for her, especially because Tessa's going on and on. She's like, and this one was there, and this one was there and this one was there.
Wendy (10:37.878)
And she knew about it. I I listen, honestly, I I will tell you, it it rubbed me the wrong way that Galena was making about her because it wasn't about her. It wasn't about her. I didn't like that I didn't like that she was doing that.
Kelli (10:46.316)
No, it wasn't.
Right. Right.
Yeah, so that was that scene.
Wendy (10:57.036)
Okay, so it's fifty it's fifty three fifty two point four miles from Gallatin, Missouri to Lamoney, Iowa. So it's an hour it's an hour away. It's an hour. Okay. So just so we know, 'cause I have no idea. Like I have no we're in the middle of the country here. I have no idea what's going on.
Kelli (11:07.734)
An hour. Okay. All right. Right.
Kelli (11:15.488)
I know. We're we only know the tri state area. so now we're at Jesse and Allie's house, city their city house. And Cole and Casey, Steven Junior and Allie show up for taco night and Steven Junior brought a game to play.
Wendy (11:18.562)
That's it. Mm-hmm.
Wendy (11:26.167)
Yes.
Wendy (11:33.279)
my god, this was so loaded.
Kelli (11:36.416)
It's basically a game asking very intimate questions of couples. And they they explain what the game is and Cole goes, I'm just gonna be honest. I only lasted about two minutes the other night.
Wendy (11:51.7)
I laugh to st this is why I love coal. Honestly, it's why I love coal.
Kelli (11:54.669)
I mean, this must really be a McBee thing though. These poor guys.
Wendy (11:57.807)
Well, I mean, that's what Steve said, right? Steven Junior said the same thing. But two minutes is longer than the ten the two seconds or ten seconds or whatever the hell she said it was.
Kelli (12:00.876)
Holy shit.
Kelli (12:08.364)
Well, yeah, because Allie's question is tell us about your first sexual experience and she says she gave Steven Jr. the sloppiest blowjob of her life and it lasted two seconds. And he's like, ten. As if that were better. I mean, listen, quite honestly, that's fine. Because the least amount of time you have to spend doing that, the better.
Wendy (12:22.39)
Right. Right. Exactly.
Wendy (12:30.434)
Yeah, nobody wants to be doing that anyway. Absolutely. Absolutely. And nobody wanna be doing that anyway, honey. Nobody wants to be doing that anyway.
Kelli (12:37.45)
Exactly. Two seconds, ten seconds, fine. Either one. Jesse
Wendy (12:45.774)
Wait, wait, wait, wait. How about the first question was Cole gets is what's your favorite sexual position? And his answer is like, well, from the back.
Kelli (12:53.541)
yeah.
Kelli (13:03.982)
So funny. Jesse and Allie, of course, get the question are you satisfied with your intimacy? And it was interesting to hear her say that they both struggle with initiating it. and Casey says you need to do 10 days of intimacy, and that's where you have sex 10 days in a row, which sounds fucking exhausting at our age, I guess.
Wendy (13:04.174)
Cole. I really do. I do.
Wendy (13:20.494)
Mm.
Wendy (13:31.617)
It does, but I think it's a good idea. No, I think at their age, I think it's a great idea. I think it's a great And they also both said, you know, Jesse and Allie both admitted that they they lack communication skills, which is exactly what I said last last week, is like that is their biggest problem. That's their biggest problem. But I gotta back up I gotta back up Stacole's other funny one. When they asked him what his sexual fantasy was, and wait.
Kelli (13:33.875)
Absolutely. I think it's a great idea. Great idea.
Kelli (13:47.341)
Yes.
Yes. Yeah.
Wendy (14:01.367)
hold on. Is a big buck involved? Let me find it. Because I was like, my God, my god, wait, wait, wait, wait. Okay, wait.
Kelli (14:05.614)
I don't have that in my notes.
Wendy (14:17.814)
Okay, what is your wildest sexual fantasy? And Cole says, Well, his is he just caught a big buck and then afterwards he just hammers it down and they show a picture of him like catching a big buck. And I'm just like, my god, Cole. my god. Like this is again why I love Cole.
Kelli (14:37.016)
And then they show a picture of him and the animal and Casey.
Wendy (14:40.736)
Yes! Because Casey hunts with him. Like Allie doesn't hunt, but Casey's a hunt like Casey and Allie hunt together. Like they ha like he said, they've been together since high school. Like they may have broken up here and there. That's what high school that's what high school loves do, right? That's what they do. But
Kelli (14:55.724)
Right, right, right. It's commendable. It's commendable that they lasted and Jesse and Allie must have been high school sweethearts too, right?
Wendy (15:02.936)
They've been together for a long time as well. They have. They have. Yeah.
Kelli (15:05.548)
Yeah. Yeah. So here I all I'm thinking is this is ridiculous that they're playing this game, Steven Junior and Allie, because they don't even know each other. Literally don't even know each other. But she just felt comfortable enough to say on national television that she gave him a blowjob and he only lasted ten seconds. I mean, I can't even.
Wendy (15:13.59)
A hundred percent. Yeah. I know. I know.
Wendy (15:25.89)
Be because but she prefaced it by 'cause she didn't want to have sex with him yet.
Kelli (15:33.026)
Right. Right.
Wendy (15:34.35)
Because she just freakin' met him Two
Kelli (15:36.576)
Right. Because I've known him for thirty seconds. So now I'm gonna give him a blowjob for ten. Jesse asks how he could be a better partner and Allie says
Kelli (15:52.981)
She says that he can like sh I guess be more open with her.
And he basically says the the same thing about her. So it's definitely all about communication with these two. Definitely. Allie tells Jesse that she stopped taking her birth control because she didn't like how it made her feel. And he w looked pissed. He looked pissed.
Wendy (16:06.432)
Right. It definitely is. It definitely is.
Wendy (16:21.068)
He was pissed. 'Cause even in his confessional, he's like he was pissed. He's like, I feel like that's something we should have had a conversation about. I mean, not like it matters 'cause we're not having sex. Well there there's the problem there, Jesse.
Kelli (16:29.58)
Right. Yes. Yes. Absolutely. You know, he says when he comes home from work, it's like, hey, like she doesn't look excited to see him. They're making me very sad, but so I I I always remember this. Pam and Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, when they were married, Pamela Anderson after they got divorced always said like that was part of the problem. Like when she had kids
Her focus went to her kids and Tommy Lee got very jealous of that. And that's basically what ended their marriage. I do believe there was a little bit of domestic violence in there too, but you know, whatever. Allegedly. I think it's, you know, we're seeing it on the valley with Kristen and Luke. Like, your life just starts to revolve around your especially when when you have a couple of month old baby for crying out loud. Like, do you really need like
Wendy (17:08.045)
Yeah.
Wendy (17:23.212)
Yes, yes.
Kelli (17:25.834)
her like jumping up and down throwing confetti at you when you walk in the door. Like she's fucking tired. She's tired.
Wendy (17:32.515)
You know what that I think this is what I think. So I so think this is like I wanna say it's like a generational thing, but I wanna say this is like what is going on in today's world. So what's going on in today's world is that everyone is like caught up in their own stuff, right? And these people don't really have role models to have role modeled it to them. And I can say to you, like my parents were married sixty years.
And they they made their 60th anniversary on January twenty-seventh. And then unfortunately, my father passed on February first. But my father would always say, and I grew up with this, he was put on this planet to make my mother happy. Right? That's what his that's what his motto was. So me as a young girl, I want to find somebody who is going to treat me that way as well, right?
Kelli (18:26.582)
Right. Yeah.
Wendy (18:27.104)
And I would remember like I remember like my father, you know, he was electrical he was an electrical engineer. He worked for the government. He went to work every day, Monday through Friday. He traveled a lot with his work. And but every day he would come home, the first thing he would do was go to my mom and give her a kiss. Like I just remember these things, right? I don't think that this happens today. I don't think that this happens today. Because people people have not seen this.
Kelli (18:47.49)
Yep, yeah.
No. You're absolutely right.
Wendy (18:56.696)
This is what I mean, we are Gen X. This is what we saw, right? We know that that Kristen Christy and Steven Sr. obviously did not have a good relationship. She was in the city, he was at the farm, she was with the kids in the city, he was cheating on her, he was lying to her. Like these kids don't have a role model today. And I think that that's I think that that's what I think that's
Kelli (19:01.166)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (19:15.939)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (19:19.694)
That's really good point. Yeah.
Wendy (19:24.406)
I think that's why we're seeing this. I think that's why we're seeing this in not just the McBee's and the Valley. I think that's why we're seeing this like in society, right? I mean, Bill's parents just celebrated their seventieth wedding anniversary. I mean, that's insane.
Kelli (19:26.83)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (19:35.758)
Right.
Kelli (19:42.158)
That is amazing. insane. It's insane.
Wendy (19:45.123)
That's insane. Like, it's insane. I think this is I and I don't know. I and I don't wanna I don't wanna preach, but I think that if you don't have a role model and you don't see if you don't see it, like you don't know what to do. You just this generation on McBee's, th like I said, they grew up with phones in their hands. Like this is all they know. They know in certification, they know
Kelli (20:06.206)
absolutely. Absolutely.
Wendy (20:10.05)
They know like all about the likes. They're they have the world literally in the palm of their hands. Right? And I think that I think that's where this whole issue lies. I I you know, that's what I just wanna say.
Kelli (20:15.938)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Kelli (20:22.302)
No, I think you're absolutely right. I think you're absolutely right. Um, and Jesse and Cole are at the farm together. Steven Jr. shows up and they start talking about how they gotta start taking stuff out of the office. They're talking about all the employees they have, and Steven Jr.'s uh getting a little salty again about Galena hanging out with the Bravo stars. I mean
Wendy (20:42.638)
Galena.
Kelli (20:45.194)
I do understand what they're saying though. Like they're like every Instagram post, like she's with somebody else, she's doing some other event. And, you know, I like even Jesse and Cole are like, yeah, like it's a little too much. Because honestly, she was hired to do the finances. They are they are really, you know, juggling a lot trying to come up with this money. And not that
Coming up with this money for restitution and fines and all that is Galena's problem because it is ultimately the father's problem. But if you have twenty percent stake in this company, I thought I thought Galena had twenty.
Wendy (21:20.536)
Ten, ten.
Wendy (21:24.728)
Ten because this is when in this episode is when we find out how she got the ten percent. Cause that's when Casey brings it up. No, ten. Ten. So she has ten percent. No, it was ten percent. No, they never showed it on they never showed it. They never showed it.
Kelli (21:31.07)
Right. he didn't say twenty, he said ten. Okay. 'Cause they show Steven Sr. doing that. It must have happened in the first season. Okay. So
'Cause it was filmed. So it must have happened at that time though. Right.
Wendy (21:46.635)
It was filmed, but they it they never showed it. But that's how she wound up with ten percent is because, like Casey said, he was sleeping with her and she was doing the work and he wanted to just like his son wants to give it to to yes, no, it's ten she has ten percent. But still ten percent is a lot. A hundred percent, a hundred percent.
Kelli (21:59.203)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (22:03.404)
Right, right.
But she should really be there. She should be there. She should be there helping them through this time. and then Allie
Wendy (22:16.152)
'Cause honestly, we don't know what pr I don't think Christie has any percent. I think Christie has zero percent. I th 'cause Christie has Christy has her own company.
Kelli (22:24.076)
Yeah, I don't know well, it depends on what she got in the divorce. I don't know what the state of Missouri's like. Like is it communal property? Is it what you've acquired during your marriage? The state's laws would would apply here. There has to be something in the divorce.
Wendy (22:45.058)
Well, it was said, and I I've read this too. when she got divorced, she bought into this company, this failing communications company. And Stephen Sr. said to her, You're you're never gonna make this work. Like like you're wasting your time and you're wasting your money. Not only did she make it work, she turned it around and made it crazy successful. And shh exactly, exactly.
Kelli (23:10.602)
so she don't even need his money.
Wendy (23:14.88)
So she is the actual smart, savvy business person. And the first season she wasn't on because she wanted no part of it. The only reason she came on for the second season is because her ex-husband, it was out and he couldn't film, and she did it to support her sons, because we know as a mom, you'll do anything for your kids. And she said that. I will do anything for my boys. So that's why she's there. I don't really think she's even getting any part of it. I don't.
Kelli (23:36.226)
Right. Absolutely.
Wendy (23:44.834)
I really don't.
Kelli (23:45.09)
Yeah, I don't know. I'm sure there was something in the divorce, but maybe she got a payout and that's with the money she used to invest in the new company.
Wendy (23:52.074)
I think th I think that that's what happened. I do.
Kelli (23:55.469)
Yeah. So Allie meets up with Casey. they're having dinner and Casey asks if Jesse's been working on the farm and Allie says, I don't know, I really don't know what he's been doing. He does go to the farm and a lot of nights, and then I'm in the city. and I guess he stays at the farm, you know, he stays at their farmhouse. So she says I really wouldn't have made it through the last few months without Christy and her own mom.
She says she hasn't gotten much support from Jesse. And she says she's willing to do the ten days of intimacy, but he stays at the farm when he's not there. So Casey says she doesn't think she can survive the McBee family without Allie. I thought that was very sweet.
Wendy (24:42.614)
I do too, and I like that those two are so close. And I really think that they do have each other's backs because they've been together in this family for so long, right?
Kelli (24:45.431)
Yeah.
Kelli (24:50.142)
Right. Yeah. And um, you know, Casey's like, I don't I d but I also don't see that Allie's getting what she needs. And Allie says she wants to give Jesse the opportunity to change. So Jesse and Cole are back at the farm. Allie is at Casey's house and she's showing her the tallow. Allie Stephen Jr.'s Allie is now at Casey's house. I know. I know.
Wendy (24:57.965)
Right.
Wendy (25:12.01)
Allie, right. Allie Eklund. I know it's so confusing. I d I don't like it when we have two Allies. Allie Eklund. Yeah.
Kelli (25:19.256)
Casey would like to have her name on the label. So Steven Jr. had told her that the tallow business is hers, but she hasn't gotten paid yet. And she did invest twelve grand into the business. And she's working on it five days a week. So Allie is asking a lot of questions. And then she does ask her, like, Do you want help with the marketing? so you know, we don't whatever it is. Like that's Allie's career. That's how Allie makes money. She promotes
products and maybe she does maybe I maybe she does get a percentage of some companies, but I would imagine if it's a big enough brand, she's just getting paid to do the post, right?
Wendy (25:50.296)
Brands. Right.
Wendy (26:01.102)
She's getting a percentage. No, I think she's probably getting a percentage of something with the big brands. Yeah, I think she's getting listen, you can Yeah, no, I think she's making bank. She's definitely making bank promoting stuff. Yeah.
Kelli (26:06.956)
Maybe she gives a link, like Nicole.
Kelli (26:12.93)
Yeah. she's definitely making money. Yeah. so Cole and Jesse are talking and Cole's like, I learned way too much about Steven and Allie through that game. And then he says to Jesse, That's the most I've ever heard you and Allie ever talk about. They kind of did they like blanket out, but I think he said sex.
Wendy (26:24.375)
my gosh, that was so funny.
Wendy (26:36.504)
They did because like we said, like they're very private. They're very private. And they don't even communicate with each other.
Kelli (26:40.267)
Yeah. Yeah.
Right, right. So Jesse said the change in lifestyle after having the baby was a lot and Cole's see Cole says that, you know, he he and Casey kinda went through it too. You know, it's interesting because Blair is what like s like s maybe seven months older than Summer or you know, l a couple of months, whatever. Maybe three months.
Wendy (27:07.636)
No, I don't think maybe three months. It it there's not a huge difference. Yeah.
Kelli (27:11.992)
But still, we didn't see Cole and Casey go through the first couple of months where you're really like y you know, it's a real shock to your system. Like she's obviously at least six months old here, Blair, or eight months. And that's like a game changer compared to three and four months.
Wendy (27:24.717)
Right, right.
Wendy (27:28.972)
Yes. Yes. Blair
Wendy (27:35.919)
Plus the difference is too that Casey and Cole live on the farm. So I think right. Christy's there, Steven Sr.'s there, and you know, we've we said that like before he went to to prison. Steven Sr. was there all the time with the kids. Like that was his life. Those kids are his life. Right, we saw it. Those kids are his life.
Kelli (27:41.314)
Right. He sees her ever he can come at lunch, come home at lunch. Yeah.
Kelli (27:54.892)
Right, right. We saw it on Instagram, yeah.
Yeah. So Cole says that they just have to, you know, kind of grow through it. And in his confessional, Jesse says there's a lot of pressure. you know, with what's going on with his dad and trying to come up with the money and having a new baby and all and he put their marriage second or even maybe third, he said. And he says and he says he thinks they're going downhill, yeah.
Wendy (28:18.2)
Third, third. That's that was the big red flag. That was the big red flag. I mean I
That when he said when he admitted that he thought the marriage was third, I like I said, I said it last week. That's their big problem. I think those two can really do it and survive, but they need to communicate. Like they really need to get on the same page. I I hope. I I hope they are now. I really do.
Kelli (28:31.896)
Yeah.
Kelli (28:43.693)
Yeah.
I know, it's making me sad for them, it really is. It's really making me sad for them.
Wendy (28:49.398)
Me too. Me too. Me too.
Kelli (28:52.875)
Allie Eklund is telling Steven Junior that the tallow has the opportunity to be a really huge product for the farm.
Wendy (29:00.61)
To save the farm. She says to save the farm. She tells Casey that and she tells Steven Junior that. So that's that's a big deal. But that's a big deal.
Kelli (29:08.726)
It's it it's very dramatic. It's a v it's very dramatic. Yeah. I mean it's not gonna save the farm. Like d don't be ridiculous. Th they're selling meat. You're not gonna save the farm by selling beef tallow for crying out loud.
Wendy (29:18.424)
But if if it's gonna I mean, if they're gonna do five
But if you're but listen to this, if you're gonna do if if it's true what Steven Jr. said, who does have an MBA in business and marketing, if you're going to do five million dollars your first year on beef tallow where your cost of goods is zero because you're doing it from garbage, well that's what I'm saying. That is what I'm saying. Your cost of goods is zero, right? It's just turning it into the product.
Kelli (29:41.848)
Well, that's how they can make the most money because they're yeah, they have it right there. Right.
Kelli (29:51.459)
Yeah, I felt like that was a bold statement that they're gonna save the farm with it. But what do I know? I don't have an MBA in business. wait.
Wendy (29:54.575)
I mean, I don't know. I don't know. And I I don't either. And I don't know how important tallow is to skincare, but I do think it's a big thing. Like I think it's a I mean, you use it. And Lori was Lori was using it, right? You and Lori both use it. So I think it is a big thing in skincare. And I think he's right. If he gets it in Ulta and Sephora and he gets it in all those places, it could be more than a five million dollar. Yes.
Kelli (30:05.664)
I use it. It's great. I use it.
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (30:18.604)
If he gets it in a big box store, yeah. Yeah. This is great though. Steven Jr. says he thought of the tallow a few years ago. I'm like, this motherfucker, he's gonna try to steal it from her that way? Right? so Allie says that Stephen Jr. and Casey need to have a conversation. Steven Jr. says she's so busy being a mom.
Wendy (30:23.714)
And if it yes, I could be that.
Wendy (30:36.482)
Yeah. Yeah.
Kelli (30:47.98)
And they're behind on orders. And Casey doesn't have the yeah, Casey doesn't have the business expertise. But we see her working on it all the time. I you know, I think he's just a control freak and I think that he's listening to what Allie Eklund is saying about it being this big business and now his wheels are spill spinning.
Wendy (30:48.207)
that pissed me off. Three hundred, over three hundred.
Kelli (31:16.401)
then we see Masha.
Wendy (31:17.482)
It's interesting. You know what I think is interesting? I feel like because Casey has always been riding hard for Steven Jr. As soon as him and Calla fell out, she was worried about Steven. As soon as Allie Eklund came in, she was worried about Steven being hurt. She has Casey has always been worried about Steven. And I don't think it's the same. I don't think it's reciprocal. And that aggravates me because I feel like Casey
Kelli (31:27.277)
Yes.
Kelli (31:36.226)
Yes.
Kelli (31:40.995)
Yes.
Kelli (31:45.774)
Well did you see the coming attractions for next week? Where he's telling Allie there's nothing like inappropriate between me and Casey.
Wendy (31:49.932)
I don't know that I did. What?
Wendy (31:58.863)
yes, I did see that. I did see that. I I mean that is interesting because I don't think there is anything inappropriate. I think that I think that Casey I think that Casey is like his little sister, cause she rides or dies for Cole because they've been together since high school. And she looks up to Steven because Cole originally look looked up to Stephen until he realized what a narcissist he was and how he puts his relationships in front of the business.
Kelli (32:02.178)
So that's interesting.
Kelli (32:07.074)
No, I don't think so either.
Wendy (32:29.218)
I think he originally I think Cole was right there with Casey until he saw it firsthand.
I don't know.
Kelli (32:37.112)
So Masha's at her condo for her boudoir shoot and Allie shows up to help. it takes Masha a couple of minutes, but she finally gets comfortable doing her thing. And Masha's telling Allie that she wants to go with Steven Junior to drop him Steven Senior rather to drop him off to jail. But Steven Sr. said it's up to a Christy.
Wendy (33:01.71)
Christy. It should be up to Christy. I love that. Mm-hmm.
Kelli (33:04.108)
I thought that was great. Me too. so she does her shoot. Steven Junior calls Allie and says he's he's there. She's like, do not come in here.
Wendy (33:15.662)
How about when Allie asked Masha if her boobs were real?
Kelli (33:19.074)
Yeah. And she said yes. I mean they they were perky, so good for her. But she's young, Masha. How old is Masha?
Wendy (33:25.164)
No, I mean Allie's like yeah.
I mean, I don't know how old she is, but Ali's like, I know yours are real 'cause mine are fake.
Kelli (33:33.485)
Yeah. Yeah. So funny. So Casey goes to talk to Steven Jr., she says she needs help with the tallow. She's very honest. if she could work on it every day, it would be fine. He says that he said so back when they first started doing this, he said she could keep a hundred percent of the income from the products. But now he thinks that the product could do five million a year.
Wendy (33:58.383)
Profits, yeah.
Kelli (34:02.808)
But they need a whole team to back this up. And that's where Allie would come in. So if this is the path that it's going on, a hundred percent of the profits cannot go to Casey. So Casey says this is very common for Steven Jr. to s like swoop in and kind of take over.
Wendy (34:25.581)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (34:27.522)
He asks her, What do you think your percentage in this should be? And she's like, Well, I don't know. I have to talk to Cole. So Cole calls in and Steven Jr. says, if I come in and make sure we have all the certifications. And listen, he is right. Like, you do need someone who knows that stuff because
This is this isn't like you and I sitting here doing this podcast. We did start an LLC and thankfully Wendy and Lori had experience in that because I did not. But when you're creating a product and selling it, you have to have the right facility, which they do because they already have these businesses. But like her rendering that in her own kitchen, that can't be legal. She needs like a facility where
Wendy (34:51.854)
Agree, I agree.
Wendy (35:18.115)
Well
Kelli (35:20.13)
Get it gets inspected.
Wendy (35:22.062)
To get it to get it to the next level. Absolutely. And you know, there are things like there are things where you can do a home kitchen, where you can do home baked goods and you can get those, you know, and in the beginning, yes, absolutely, she'd be okay to do that. But like he is saying, to take it to the next level, absolutely you need a certified manufacturing facility that is overseen because this is going to be a beauty product that is going to be on people's skin. So we need to have
Kelli (35:25.261)
Yeah.
Kelli (35:29.976)
Sure.
Kelli (35:36.151)
Yeah.
Wendy (35:51.021)
Certifications. No, he's right. He's a hundred percent right. And I don't think Casey's denying that. I don't I I think she's agreeing with that. I don't think she's denying that.
Kelli (35:53.475)
He's absolutely right. And then he says, No. Yeah. And then he says Allie would come in with marketing. And what is the fair breakdown of percentages? And then it says current offer up on the screen: 40% McBee, 40% Allie, and 20% Allie Eklund. And then they flash back to.
Wendy (36:11.18)
Yeah.
Wendy (36:17.676)
No, forty percent Casey. Forty percent Casey.
Kelli (36:20.288)
I'm sorry, yes, twenty forty percent Casey. Yes, I'm sorry. and then they flash back to Steven Senior giving Galena see, I have twenty percent again of the business. Okay.
Wendy (36:29.642)
I have ten percent. Steve did I have ten percent. And then they broke up.
Kelli (36:33.728)
Okay. And then they broke up, yeah. So it kinda ends there. We don't really see what's happening. you know, what how the the how it ends. And and then we're at the city house with Jesse and Allie. Jesse comes home from work and Allie starts telling him about Casey's conversation with Steven Junior. And then Ca Allie called Casey.
Wendy (36:56.558)
Actually, as soon as Jesse comes home, Allie says we need a bottle, please, like a stat. So and 'cause this is what Jesse's complaint is. Like she's not even like saying, How are you? Like what's going on? And he's right. As soon as he walked in the door.
Kelli (37:02.818)
Yes, she did.
Kelli (37:12.682)
I feel like that was I feel like that was production. I feel like production was like, no, you stay here. You know what I mean? I just can't see her being that person, just sitting on the floor. And as soon as he walks in being like, I need a bottle. Like I can't, I just can't see her being like that.
Wendy (37:22.028)
Yeah, it could be.
Wendy (37:28.736)
Yeah, but he he also said he also said, I don't know if you picked this up, he also said, I didn't s I see you didn't clean up those other bottles. And she said, We were busy. So I kind of feel like there's more to this than what we're seeing. And it could be production. It absolutely could be, but
Kelli (37:49.624)
You know, she's also working as a nurse practitioner full time.
Wendy (37:52.727)
She is, but if she's home with the baby, is she working or is she still on is she still on maternity leave?
Kelli (37:58.9)
I no, 'cause he said you've been working a lot when they were out to dinner, remember?
Wendy (38:03.424)
Yeah. But again, we don't know what the schedule is. I I mean if you're working in a hospital, there's usually twelve hour shifts, so we're usually probably doing three days a week. Not that that's not taxing because a hundred percent it is. I don't we don't know. Like we don't know the whole story. And that's the whole thing. We don't know the whole story.
Kelli (38:16.748)
Yeah. We don't know. We don't know.
Right. So Allie calls Casey and she says you know, Casey tells her like Steven Jr. thinks this could be a five million dollar business. Yeah. And and she says and he thinks that Allie should get twenty percent for marketing. Allie Eklund. And Jesse's Allie's like, but Casey, that's your business.
Wendy (38:33.026)
They put they put on speaker. Right. With yeah, I like that.
Kelli (38:47.926)
She agrees that Steven Jr. should be involved and that that it makes sense because he's the business guy, but twenty percent to Allie is not okay. And Allie tells Jesse that she doesn't know if he hurt her. so okay. So then they get off the phone with Casey because it's Blair's bedtime. And Allie and Jesse kind of start talking about their convers you know, what happened with game night. And Allie basically tells him, like, I don't think you heard me the other night.
Wendy (39:08.216)
Right.
Wendy (39:13.506)
Right.
Kelli (39:18.35)
And af you know, instead of us talking about it and communicating, you bolted to the farm. And he doesn't deny it. So she says, I would have done the ten nights of intimacy, but you weren't here. And he says that he encourages her to go out with her friends and offers to stay home with Summer, but she doesn't let him. So he's gonna take advantage of the of
Wendy (39:28.034)
Yeah. No, he doesn't.
Kelli (39:48.052)
of having help for summer and he's gonna go out. And she's like, Yeah, but if you're gonna go to the farm, like we can go with you. Like they have a house there for crying out loud.
Wendy (39:55.746)
We can go with you.
Right. And that's where it goes back to the whole communication thing. And I think that this is where the problem lies because we know we know who men are, right? We know you and I have been married a long time. We've been with our men a long time. And if we're gonna take up the slack, well, they're gonna go do what they need to do. But if we wanna do something else, all we need to do is speak up. Right? I mean, if you said to if you said to Eric, No, no, no, I'm gonna go I'm gonna go with you to AC, he'd be like, Okay, let's go.
Kelli (40:02.776)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (40:09.058)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Kelli (40:19.66)
Right. Yes, absolutely.
Kelli (40:27.116)
Right. Yes, absolutely.
Wendy (40:28.392)
If I said to Bill, I'm gonna go with you fishing, he'd be like, Okay, let's go. But if I don't say that and he says to me, Do you wanna stay like Jesse's saying, I thought you liked your alone time. And
Kelli (40:40.62)
And the thing is, is that when you're a new mom, typically you do just want to stay home with the baby. Like you're not looking to go out. And I think for guys, it's so different. Like when we had Tess, Eric didn't go out a lot. Eric was never a big goer outer. Like when we first started dating, we did, but once we got, you know, whatever. But his friends would come over and they would go in the back room and they would play video games. And I would just be in the house with Tess, you know.
Wendy (40:47.382)
Right. Right.
Wendy (40:53.282)
I agree.
Kelli (41:08.162)
When she was a baby, but like little, little baby, you know, but that's what he did. Like he would do. He doesn't even play video games anymore. But that's what he would do. Like i he you know if he was a going out guy, he'd probably wanna go out. I don't know how I would have felt about that, but he probably would have.
Wendy (41:16.344)
Right.
Wendy (41:25.976)
But Jesse's idea of going out is going back to the farm and hanging out with his friends. Because the farm is a family. Like they said, they're like these people are not just employees. Like they've they've employed up to sixty people. And you see them hanging out with these people. Like these people are like family to them.
Kelli (41:29.536)
It yes.
Kelli (41:44.408)
Yeah, and you know, not for nothing, but at the end of the last season when they were getting married, like the where they were gonna live was a big topic of conversation. And she said she was gonna move to the farmhouse.
Wendy (41:54.636)
Yes it was. Yes.
Kelli (41:58.413)
He said, So I guess you're moving to the farmhouse and she was like, I guess I am. And she didn't. It did not happen.
Wendy (42:02.102)
Right. But I don't think that happened. I don't think that happened. Right. I right. Listen, they listen. They have to figure they have to communicate and they have to figure it out. And I will say to them, don't be afraid to go to therapy. Go see a therapist. Like like let let somebody help you. Like this is not you don't need to reinvent the wheel. Like this is something that has been done for millions of years, right?
Kelli (42:17.228)
Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.
Kelli (42:28.653)
Absolutely.
Wendy (42:28.808)
Even if you don't know how to navigate it, there's other people that do. So go see somebody, right? Make it easier for you.
Kelli (42:35.266)
Yeah. And basically she just tells like actions speak louder than words. Like I don't want you to say you're gonna do things, say you're gonna change. I need I need to say it. And listen, she's not wrong. She's not wrong.
Wendy (42:42.24)
Right. Yes, yes.
Wendy (42:48.386)
I mean at the end they're both crying. At the end they're s they're literally both crying.
Kelli (42:52.684)
They were both crying.
Wendy (42:55.03)
And Jesse says, like, do you still want this? And Allie's like, Yes, like I wanna see growth. Like I I wanna see change. Like I feel like like I do feel like they want this. I feel like they are sh they're meant to be together. They just need a little help. I think they need a little help.
Kelli (43:02.243)
Right.
Kelli (43:10.732)
Yeah. And I'm sure given the fact that their moms are so involved, I'm sure they're letting them know that. They're helping them through this. Like this is it's gonna be okay. Everything's gonna be okay.
Wendy (43:25.484)
Listen, if they didn't know before, they certainly know after this episode, 'cause we all know, right?
Kelli (43:29.004)
Right. Right. Right. Yes. Yeah. I just I really hope they're okay though, 'cause I like these two together. I really I love Cole and Casey and I love Jesse and Allie. And I just hope they're all all right. I just I I really you know, so like I said, some people are too normal.
Wendy (43:31.808)
I mean between this and social media, we know what's going on. Sorry to say. We know.
Wendy (43:46.102)
I do too. I do too.
Kelli (43:55.993)
For reality T V, and I feel like the four of them are kind of too normal for
Wendy (44:02.701)
Yeah.
Kelli (44:02.85)
But I like watching them, so I I hope they stick it out. I hope they stay on. I hope Steven Jr. doesn't screw this up for them. Stop rage texting, Jack's two point My God.
Wendy (44:09.376)
I do too.
No, I do too. I know. I know, right? He's a crazy person. He really is. And he doesn't see it. He does I mean when he sits there and does his confessionals, I'm like, does he watch these back? Because he comes off as so pompous and arrogant in every confessional he does.
Kelli (44:20.578)
Yeah.
Kelli (44:34.114)
He must be just like his father. He really must be just like his father.
Wendy (44:38.786)
Yeah, 'cause you know what, I don't even think I don't really think in season one we ever saw his father even in a confessional, to be quite honest with you. I'm gonna have to go look back.
Kelli (44:46.774)
Yeah. I might go back and watch the first season because I never did.
Wendy (44:50.316)
Yeah. No, I I recommend it. I definitely recommend it because his father's not he'sn't he's an he's an asshole. His father's an asshole.
Kelli (44:59.822)
He's not even good looking. I find him so unattractive.
Wendy (45:04.64)
Yeah. And it's so f it's so funny 'cause you say like, you know, maybe he's got B D E, but Steven has the biggest small DE I've ever seen. And everyone said it, right? I mean, are you kidding me?
Kelli (45:06.371)
Yeah, whatever.
Kelli (45:14.218)
Ugh like cringe cringe.
Wendy (45:21.612)
I mean, is that even a thing? Is that a thing? Small D E?
Kelli (45:24.974)
Well if i it it's he's got it. Whatever it is, he's got it.
Wendy (45:28.726)
Yeah, I think that's what I'm gonna call this episode, small D E. I think that's what he's got. I think Stephen McBee has small D E. Stephen McBee has small DE. That's it. That's the name of this episode.
Kelli (45:32.088)
